THE WIRTSCHAFTSWUNDER - Television 7'' 1980

Now a classic ZickZack record from a combo called the Wirtschaftswunder, a band of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" era from the early days and they were founded 1980 in Limburg. Television is their second 7'' and has landed with 'Der Kommissar' (based on a German criminal TV series from the 1960s) a serious hit. The music is a kind of experimental with a wide range of different genres (punk, new wave & and pop). Galizia (Singer) contibuted in a big way to its particular feeling by his furious vocal and odd language. The madly running passages of the mostly punk oriented songs are well balanced with the sounds of the synths, in some parts wind instruments are filtering from the background. In any case: this release is a little part of musical history that has its own character.

MICKY TAKE & THE TAKE ONS - Bird Dog 7'' 1978

This single is one more from the glorious Wanted-List and its so damn rare so I'm happy to present you this ole fucker. The band is a studio group and they recorded only this both tunes. The a-side is a pretty cover of the Everly Brothers #1 hit 'Bird Dog' in a punky lyric version. That time the Sex Pistols shock the music business with their anti attitude and they wrote this about them... very funny and it's real punkrock spoof. The flip is a lame waste of time, sadly, maybe its another cover which I don't the original. Anyway, musically not necessarily the burner but still nice. Enjoy!

TÜNAY AKDENIZ & ÇIGRIŞIM - Meselâ, Mesele! 7'' 1978

Well, let's get a bit exotic with this one. This combo has released their first record in 1970 and I can't tell you really much more where there from and what they doin' yet. They certainly a typical 70s rock band but this record, as you can see on the cover, is written as punkrock, well, it's not the punk I and we know but the a-side is a real earwig, starts with a 'cowboy' guitar & it blows me after listen to the first tone and the sound quick turnes into a decent melodic punk/hardrock tune and I'm immediately impressed and can play this again & again..... pulls really my pants off, where are you girls? The flip is a bit different and goes more into the so called krautrock theme, comes not bad because the turkish voice is awesome. I mean, I know Turkish people here in my city and they're sometimes tiring but this tops everything. Anyway, I'm talk too much, fuck words, this is their fifth and last single, released via Pardon Records and check them in the www and enjoy eight minutes of serenity.

WAYWARD SKYLABS - Think About It EP 1981

Moving to Scotland and visit a short-lived combo from Dumfries (south Scotland) that played Mick's Club in Carlisle a couple of times. They recorded the Think About It EP at Northrock Studios in Carlisle early 1980 on the Noisy Campers label. This rare piece of plastic is a four track low-fi killer record which deserves the name kbd more than other useless shit and is surprisingly extremely melodic, especially the bass drives the rhythm forward and at last great lyrics. There's a lot of infos in the file from one member of the band and I can't say where I have found this. Anyway, you can find them on the England Belongs To Me #2 compilation and this only record is a nice litte gem from the Anti-Brexit area. Enjoy!

V/A - Der Tollschock Sampler 1989

This one's for Uncle Joe by request and I own the record for a long time but it's one I must sell off, needless to say why. Well, this is one of the first releases of Pedder's (R.I.P.) label Skan Productions which he founded end of the 80s and there are not many stuff published there but a few bright moments and this first compilation is one of them. More than half of the songs so far unpublished and the fourteen tunes are a healthy mix of Oi!, Punk and Psychobilly and a beautiful ballad on the end. MFD - Full Volume 1988

All right, one more great record from the States by M.F.D. and this is their second one on DSI Records and the album title says all: exceptional perfect punk smasher as I like it, short & dirty and perfect recordings. Because today is a football break and I have nothing better to do so I dedicate myself again to music. Here you get eleven stories of the very finest, I think, I bought the vinyl here on a record fair in Exzess for an acceptable price (I also have three singles and one I re-upp for you, the All Of This EP). Only manko, with twenty-four minutes playing time much too short. Who cares? Get this damn cool record or be a brussels sprouts.

CASE - Wheat From The Chaff EP 1983

Very good record by Case and the only one they released on Sus Records. Three classic UK punk smasher and I first came up with the gents by listen to the three goodies from the Oi!, The Demos compilation. Formed 1979 in Croydon, South London by Matt Newman (vocals), Rob Brook (guitar), Martin Parrot (drums) and Marc Adams (bass) they made a demo and send it to some labels but it took four years to finally the 7Inch appeared, a real shame because the sound is refreshing and lyrically appealing. A decent mix of ska and Punk and 'Criminal Ways' is an outstanding track. In 2011 Damaged Goods released a compilation called Ain't Gonna Dance! with recordings from 1980-1985. Get It!

NO EXIT - s/t LP 1980

Request time now and I haven't think that it goes so fast with this rare nugget, of course from the Wanted-List, not from me because I don't know this band but here it is. What I know: this record is fuckin' rare as hell, pressed in an edition of fifty copes, self-released by the band and No Exit are from Vancouver and you can read lots of infos about this record on citizenfreak, a Canadian music site with tons of reviews and more. I myself must say that this music is okay, nice low-fi punk with good lyrics but I'm not the type who would pay € 800 or more for this one (seen on discogs). The rip is not mine and partially crappy which can certainly lie by the ripper but for a record like this we don't complain and enjoy the real pure early sound of No Exit. Hope I made your day!

- Big Thx to Drago -

To the wake up and more stuff later.

1.Sad Marie - LOST LYRICS
2.Junky For You - BROKEN TOYS
3.Life Pain - LA SECTA
4.In This World - THE NEW WIND

BOSKOPS - Sol 12 1983

Finest raw trashpunk by the Boskops from Hanover. Here's their awesome debut album with twenty-two killers. I remember after the first listen I was blowin' away by this energy & rage sound and the offensive lyrics, it's still fun listen again to them after all this years. The Boskops are a further band of my own early punk days and one of the best in Germany these days. The band founded between 1982 and 1983. Most of the members knew each other from the Hanoverian punk band Blitzkrieg. In 1983 they released Sol 12 on Frostschutz Records (unfortunately the record label got ruined shortly after the release). The brutality and speed of their songs made Boskops quite well known in the punk underground. In the same line-up they recorded later their second album Lauschgift, which was a bit slower but nevertheless with power and hardness. The participation on the We Don't Need Nuclear Force and the Hardcore Vol.1 compilations made Boskops known internationally. In 1988 the third album F.E.D.I.A. was released as a self-production with distinctly metallic elements, 1991 the last album Non Plus Ultra. End of the 1990s, the band broke up. A.M. Music published in the 90's all albums each a double pack on CD. Recordings from the never finished fifth album released in 2000 on the third BRD Punk Terror-Sampler Compilation on Nasty Vinyl. A German classic noble record and a fuckin' must have!!!

OUR NEIGHBORS SUCK - Isolation 1985

After a very long time I have devoted my full attention to this record again. There are few Rock-O-Rama plates that I really like (approximately the first thirty releases) but the rest are scum. Well, now I'm landed on Isolation and after listening once I must say that ONS play a good hardcore rail. The sound here is a bit weak and so the songs lose their power but why they choose this German label is another story. Here's a short review: "Most of the songs by the Arizona-based band are in the medium-paced punk vein, with a few slower or more rapid-fire. The production sound is thick here and, combined with their rock influences, makes for a lot of listening. Not awesome, but well done. Question remains though why they chose this label often accused by German punks of pro-Nazi connections." - Tim Yohannan (from Maximum Rocknroll #33, February 1986) Well, nothing special but not that bad either.

MICKEYMAN & EXTREM - Split LP 1983

The first release of this ultra-rare original Austrian pressing from 1983 shows the debut of two bands from Vienna. Now an extremely cool song from an extremely cool band: "Fress'n, Sauf'n, Scheiss'n, Prunz'n" is the ultimate rejection to the Austrian philistines with their 40-hour week, the obligatory television evening after work and the drunkexcesses around the corner. Austria needs to burn, all right? EXTREM founded already in the summer of 1979 in Vienna and went through a short time with some line-up changes, and Mickey Kodak, alias MICKEYMAN took them and recorded a split LP on their label Rebel. Recorded in July 1983 in the Gaga, the result was probably the harshest and toughest punkrock publication, which had until then spit the steak paradise to light. Oaschloch-Rhetoric in crude Viennese, jagged hardcore punk guitars and drums beating high-speed at the door to madness and say Serwas! I'm ahead of my time..' MICKEYMAN took them and recorded a split LP on his label Rebel. The American punk Magazine "Maximum Rock-N-Roll" reviews: The Extrem side is extreme! Raucous cycloning mayhem from Austria, enough driving power and insistent quickness to hurl you into a venture mega-speed craziness. Savage guitar grinds charge out a brutal slaughter of aggression and combustion, crammed into a wild seizure of raw energy. Extrem escalate with each zooming slice. Mickeyman is Austrian reggae done well, and their punk song is basic and humorous. Don't miss this album! - the Extrem stuff is drastic plastic. - Pushead (from Maximum Rocknroll #14, June 1984) - No wonder he invited them to contribute a song to his now legendary Cleanse The Bacteria compilation in 1985 and this was the first time that an Austrian punk band was released in the U.S. - In 1991 they changed their band name in EAT LEAD and disbanded at the end of the year, finally!

VEM BRYR SIG? - Va Fan E Re Nu Rå? EP 2009

A blast from the past: Vem Bryr Sig? from Lidingö formed in September 1979 and had their first concert at a talent show two weeks later. Played fairly extensively in the Stockholm area and Karlshamn until the split in 1981. They won after the jury has been threatened with beating if they did not vote for the band. The group was formed from the wreckage of a blues band as Janne Hoffner (guitar) and Patrick 'Pruten' Wedholm (drums) had. Hoffner and Pruten asked Weston if he wanted to sing in a punk band that he did, and with The Cramps modeled trio were ready to rock on Lidingö. Further line-up changes followed and the band played gigs at schools and other locations until the split in December 1981. The band never made a record but are included on the live compilation ”Lajv På Kulan” from 1981. In the book 'One two three four We're Vem Bryr Sig?' by the band's lead singer Henry Weston he wrote and published himself in true punk spirit the way of the band from its inception in 1979 to the end of 1980/81. The book became a minor underground hit. This led to Vem Bryr Sig? reunited in 2008. The band got the taste of blood and in April they went into the studio and recorded eight songs. Four of these are on this EP, originally written between 1979-1981, four crazy punk blasts in a typical kbd style, even after 30 years still fresh and uninhibited.

PANKRTI - Državni Ljubimci 1982

Well, it's been a bit quiet here but the reason is the European soccer championship in France and I try to see every match so a little sorry that I didn't respond emails or requests. So now a quick post between the matches and time again for some nice rare damn good stuff. Now we have here the second album of the punkrockers Pankrti from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Like the first one with fine melodic firecrackers which goes into the ears from the first tone till to last note. Powerful playing and a clean produce which brings every Pogogen to dance. Pankrti are again active since 2007 and so they are one of the longest living Punk-Bands from Yugoslavia. Get more via the search function in the top left. Strange cover by the way...

V/A - Hardcore Unlawful Assembly 1984

Another fuckin' shit compilation from the Nippon area is this sucker: eight combos, each with two goodies and if you are familiar with the spikey punkers from Asia, you know what awaits you. A decent mix of melodic punkrock, a little metal stuff and of course damn noise hardcore shit...there is nothing to complain about, released via AA Records, one of the first Japanese Punk & Oi! labels, most of their catalog is extremely sought after and is highly collectible. Fuck Off! if you don't like this sound.

V/A - Oi! It's Party Time...For Working Class Kids! #2 EP 1996

Oi! is working class, and if you're not working class you'll get a kick in the bollocks - This is the second EP from the 'Oi!, It's Party Time...For Working Class Kids!' series without any party song. Anyway, I found this one at a record fair here in Frankfurt for cheap and so I'll take it with me. And we have four bands, two from France and one from Spain & Germany. All four songs quite cool and have the typical Oi! sound, but my favourite song comes from Pöbel & Gesocks which called "The Woman, Who Always Will" and that's I'm always ask myself too, hahaa - funny, but what kind of man doesn't wish to meet such so a hot woman? :)) Released by the french label One By One Records and the last post for now...Fuck!!, I'm very busy today and don't take it too seriously.

1.Outra Mais - RUIN BOIS
2.Long Chemin Mortel - CHARGE 69
3.Le Diable Est Avec Nous - TORQUE MADA
4.Die Frau Die Immer Will - PÖBEL & GESOCKS

DEO - s/t LP 1981

In 1980 DEO were formed in Oberhausen (Ruhrpott). On 'Innovative Communication', the record label of Klaus Schulze, the band released their only album, which they advertises with the slogan "with hell drive to the ruhr area. "We say what we think. We do not operate under the sledgehammer approach, but we still want to stimulate thinking. But always extremely pleasant and fresh", said the band 1982 in the Bravo. In fact, they were able to convince their lyrics with charme and a good choice of words. Kurt Hein was later replaced by Klaus Kranz and 1983 the band split after one single and one album. They were not professional musicians, each following a profession by: Harald Hoffmann was a photographer, Klaus Kranz was an electrical engineer, Andreas P. studied social pedagogy and Christoph A. studied languages. The quartet plays a solid wave/punkrock sound with a good dose of electronics... not bad.

X - Aspirations 1980

This album is a fuckin' must listen. It has all, damn good lyrics, a damn good voice, damn fuckin' great guitars and a damn good sound, this is damn good punkrock. In my personal ranking high up. There is so much info in the net about X so I can spare words, only: X is an Australian punk band, formed in Sydney 1977 by Ian Rilen, Steve Lucas, Ian Krahe and Steve Cafiero. Ian Rilen founded the band with Steve Lucas on guitar and vocals, Ian Krahe also played guitar and was renowned for having blood on his hands from playing without a guitar pick. Steve Cafiero rounded out the orinal four-piece lineup on drums. The band's first lineup change occurred when guitarist Ian Krahe died, reducing the band to three members for their first album, ''Aspirations". Recorded in five hours at Trafalgar Studios in Sydney, the album has been listed in the book 100 Best Australian Albums. The band split up shortly after the album's 1980 release. And I'm a fuckin' slob, click on the orange letter above and you find all the background to the album you need. More on Why March When You Can Riot?! and Rare Trax Vol.9 - Aspirations is released original on X-Records and to date several times re-released... justly!

COVER BOYS - It's A New World 7'' 1980

It was long ago that I post something from the Wanted list but today is such a day and this 7Inch is damn rare and the band is nowhere represented on a compilation probably their only songs they have published. The Cover Boys are one of the few pop-punk acts signed by Vancouver's Quintessence Records who specialized in straight-up punk rock. Can't say much about them only this two-sided cracker is amazing and finest PowerPop from this three piece combo. Enjoy!

RÜPELZ - s/t EP 1997

A really nice plate is the only vinyl release of the Bonn skinhead combo called Rüpelz which published in 1997 via Running Riot Records their four track EP with loud rousin' streetpunk numbers, lyrically not a one song is praised about beer & drunk acting, so what usually use Oi! Bands in at least one song. No, the Rüpelz take very personal words to days about love, defend themselves, the life as skinhead and with the last number 'Irgendwann Erwischt Es Jeden (sometimes every get caught)' is a pretty ballad on it that first sounds a bit sad but with the second listen it is more clearly and the song says to go ahead, make your thing, no matter how often you were the loser. Like Braces Carrier 69 this band was too short lived. It exist a further Tape with five songs but I never listen to it. Check this cool band out for yourselfs and of course a brilliant cover, YEAH!

VENOM - From Hell To The Unknown 1985

One favourite band in my metal days were Venom, pioneers of the so-called Black Metal style, and their first two albums are excellent. Snotty hard sound and somehow untypical for this genre I mean. The roots of punk are unmistakably, listen to 'Bursting Out' or 'Live Like An Angel' for example also 'Buried Alive' is extreme cool. Since 1979 alive Venom released a lot of records and I lost interest with the 'Calm Before The Storm' album and of course my passion for punkrock. This double album came out on Raw Power records, record one is the debut Welcome To Hell and number two is rare stuff, including live recordings. Enjoy the sound of the original inventers and founders of Black Fuckin' Metal!

SIXTEN REDLÖS - Ni Ska Få Ångra 7'' 1984 + I Wish I Woz An Animal 7'' 1985

Sixten Redlös (aka 6-10 Redlös) was a punk band from Jönköping who was active 1981 - 1987, 2002 and 2009-2010. They released during the latter period, in the 1980s a couple of singles and an LP. The band started as a skatepunk band in the early 80's in Jönköping/Huskvarna. The first gig was on 22. November 1981. The band was first called 'Rövens Hemd' but changed soon to Sixten Redlös. Group members were heavily involved in the occupation of the old fire station in Jönköping and thus became one of the first bands that moved into the Kulturhus, the result of the occupation. The drummer Jonas was replaced by Johan and Jojje stopped playing guitar. The group recorded the first demo in Asta Kasks Studio in Töreboda. A few years later they released the first single "Ni Ska Få Ångra" on the label S Records. 1985 follows single number 2 "I Wish I Woz An Animal", recorded in MNW studio in Waxholm. In the years 1984-87 the group toured extensively in Sweden, Denmark and Norway and made around 150 gigs. 1986, Mats Larsson Lutten band to become a drummer in Stockholms Negrer. The group recorded an LP "Slå Alarm" and continued touring. 6-10 Redlös did include a highly acclaimed concert at the first Hultsfred Festival with the English New Model Army who invited the group on an England tour. The band dissolved in 1987 after a series of chaotic gigs. In the 90's Seadog Records released a best of compilation called "Sålunda Spelade Sixten Redlös". When the Kulturhuset in Jönköping celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2002 the band main attraction and in 2009 it was again time for Sixten Redlös to get up on stage. Along with punk comrades Asta Kask they did a number of sold-out gigs. In 2010 they played on "Den Stora Punkgalan" in Stockholm, including Bitch Boys, Stoodes, Problem and P-Nissarna. The band appeared on several Swedish punk compilations. Two solid 7Inches full with a powerful sound and don't worry: This is Punkrock!!!!

V/A - Cannabis Weekend 1995

Let's start June with a nice German compilation with a heavy funny title and almost all twenty-one songs of course deal with pot smoking or goes with it. Except Serene Fall and they were the reason I must bought this CD. 'Faces' is one of the best songs from the Gladbach band and only here released in their original four piece line-up. It's about bad feelings which eat yourself and go into the mark, stay there because it can't goes worse, know what I mean?... let's see for yourself - The record is a very good mix of alternative/punk goodies, my favorites are the unforgotten Bates, Three O'Clock Heroes, Tote Hosen, Rausch and Fitt Band Experience. Ca 80% exclusive tunes on Dope Records.
