PANDEMONIUM - Who The Fuck Are You? EP 1983

Now a fine release by Pandemonium and this 7Inch is not really new in the Blogsphere but it's a damn good one so what the fuck? Founded in Venlo early Eighties, the bandmembers were already friends since kindergarten, and consisted of Peter (vocals/bass), Danny (guitars), Rowdy (drums) and the first edition of this goodie came in 550 copies with two different coversAfter playing around for a while, the De Pandemonium Affaire demo got recorded in 1982 and was released on the band's label Limbabwe Records. The music on the demo was raw and biting and had a strong Scandinavian influence. The debut album (Wir Fahren Gegen Dreck) followed in 1984 and after another 7Inch the band started to break up in 1986, there were also some Compilation performances. Great Stuff!

V/A - Compulsive Agitation EP 2023

The tenth and latest release from dutch D.I.Y. Subunderground Compulsive Agitation’s, Compulsive Agitation, is an excellent EP Compilation featuring six songs from five bands, hailing from the Netherlands as well as the UK. Edition of 400 copies on black vinyl. Well, the label should be familiar to you as it is the home base of the talented school of fuzzpunk, or in short: Ford's Fuzz Inferno whose contribution has not yet been published. This also applies to the other songs (except for Waste). Nun, this little 7Inch is a real grenade with short loud impacts that absolutely smash me into the past when Hardcore became my driving force and I was flashed by the aggressive fast sound. And once infected, it stays in your heart and you know what's good for you. With Hans & Co. you know what you're getting and all ten records aren't late bloomers or lame copies of old heroes, NO! Honest straight pissed off Hardcore with appealing words rolling over you and rousing every lame ass to participate, and to that always an informative artwork. This litle goodies comes with an insert featuring alternative front cover designs and infos about the bands.

"Overall, 'Compulsive Agitation' is a fantastic EP release that showcases the strength and diversity of the old school Do It Yourself Punk scene. Each band brings its unique sound and style, creating a compilation full of energy and attitude." (THOUGHTS WORDS ACTION - 8th June, 2023)

Since the edition is very limited, it will be difficult to get hold of a copy, I have one and if you find one, grab it! Pushes anytime, especially with back pain.
Five Killer Punk Bands! - Six Killer Punk Hits! Enjoy!

3.Reptile Brain - SCOUNDRELS
4.Sab The Hunters - KRUST WORTHY

FORD'S FUZZ INFERNO - Eternal Circles Of Fuzz EP 2023

Well dear Friends, let's come to the fifth chapter of the grandiose duo Ford's Fuzz Inferno and it's a strange beast in the Dutch ‘fuzztopian’ Punk discography and to be honest, I don't even know what to write here anymore. All of Mr. Hans & Mr. Patrick's releases are extraordinarily brilliant and the level is consistently high and their musical ability just won't diminish. Excellent FuzzPunkRock as it should be for Fuzzies and believe me, I really mean that. As soon as the first note sounds, my body vibrates and turns my basic mood into a positive network of cheerfulness and lust, not that I'm a negative person, but I'm a skeptic and like to question and Ford's fuzzy sound is a real door opener for every pissing situation, can you follow me? The two gents know exactly what they are doing and they do it with dedication and common sense, and I'm a bit late with this slab, because in May they've already added the sixth chapter, and also important to know, their label released the first Compilation (the Compulsive Agitation EP in an edition of 400 copies) but more to this in the near future. I won't quote a review here this time, look for it yourself and I recommend you to read all the other chapters of the Fuzz book and enjoy the sunny warm Sunday with it.

V/A - Bloodstains Across The World #7 2022

Well it's time for one more Bloodstains Compilation and this one is cheap like the other "from all over the world" (from #3) and kept in a simple CD-R format, but I'm pleased that there are always maniacs who share their things, in contrast to other arrogant Assholes who defame such small people even though they don't know them at all and believe that they contribute a part of underground culture with their so-called professional Compilations (hahaha...), they just have to get their ass kicked and I give them a big Fuck You! I prefer to take these because the originals aren't tangible and I am grateful for this and everyone who thinks the same way will be enthusiastic with this cheap but cool one.

WASTE - The Next Century Is Almost Over EP 2023

Holy Shit!! a legend is back after more than forty years with a fucking blast! In case you can't remember, WASTE released their one and only great History Repeats EP in the early 80's and now they're in the mood for loud & peppy music again. Their new 7Inch delivers four compositions in a recognizable Waste manner. Dynamic, energetic and with a pissed off feeling the boys bang out their songs so that no part of your body doesn't want to vibrate, and believe me, every shitty thought will wash away from you and you'll hear this slab over and over again. Responsible for these jaw dropping tracks is the incredibly tight rhythm section of bassist Still Klaus, drummer Fred Flintstone, the brutal voice of Bompa RR and the totally damaging fuzz guitar and songwriting skills of Hans F. Ford, who of course is also known from his outstanding current fuzz-duo Ford's Fuzz InfernoThe band hasn't lost any of its aggressiveness and joy of playing, the sound is fat and powerful (although I prefer the early Eighties sound but these recordings grab me by collar) and you can Pogo with every note, Hardcore/Punk at its best and you should definitely get a copy, but you have to be quick because only 375 copies were pressed. With Waste, the long weekend can start and whoever sits still while listen, is definitely dead. KILLER!

V/A - Oi! Rare & Exotica Vol.2 1999

Let's continue with the second unofficial Volume of massive rare Oi! goodies and again released via Teenage Rebel Records and the selection is excellently cast with twenty-three tracks, which stretched out the middle finger towards to the boring establishment. This time with an info sheet and a few words from it: "Again a lot of more or less unknown bands from all over the world are featured with recordings from 1981-1998. Everybody should know the 80's Oi! bands from England, so there's no need to present them here again like on many other Oi! Compis. So discover something new, have fun and always remember: The world is big, manigfold and real Oi! is anti-rascist (which doesn't mean it's leftwing)." Together with Volume 1 this record offers a lot of exclusive material, good songs and every band doesn't sound dull or wooden, what means in the end: no stupid music goulash. Get both!

1.Bloody Bouncers - CONTROL ZONE
2.Plits Koveri - KLAMYDIA
3.Nic - ZÓNA A
4.Ministerio Das Panelas - MANIFESTHO
5.Toksikomaan - PSYCHOTERROR
6.All Boys Say - S.A.
7.Ne Predaj Se - GBB
8.Unite And Fight - A.C.A.B.

SCOUNDRELS - Join Hands 1988

A largely unknown band are the Scoundrels, a Dutch/Belgian combo, who started playing 1979 and were around until 1990 and made three albums and countless Compilation appearances. Join Hands is their second output which came via Swaddle Records and line-up were Patrick (vocals/guitars), Frank (bass/vocals), Butsenzeller (drums). I can't say exactly why that is, my first contact came through the Not Great For Great Men Compi whose song I like a lot, but I took it as a side note and at that time I wasn't focused on buying records, because I was constantly broke. Well, somehow I came across this record and discovered twelve solid varied mid-tempo Eighties songs with excellent lyrics (very personal) at its best. I strongly recommend you to listen to their first demo Ufreettoemoef from 1985, where you can also find more infos about the band. And also important: "Following a thirty-one year (!) hiatus, the Scoundrels return to the front with a huge bang… and with their brand new third LP, Oh No! Not Again!!" A Must Listen!

FORD'S FUZZ INFERNO - Death To The Fuzz Family EP 2023

I'm a little behind, because Ford's Fuzz Inferno already put their creative sound machine into operation in January and presented another chapter from the fuzz workshop in the tranquil village of Kekerdom, and as self-confessed flitzefozzi I can only say: "Uiuiuiui!". Five dynamic and also 'melodic' pieces conjured they out of a hat which show a clear progression and infuse any damn tired mind with positive energy. Yesterday I finally had time, muse and the technique to listen & rip their fourth 7Inch and I will not repeating myself, but Mister Hans & Mister Patrick know write impulsive music. The Ford's appear in all songs short, concise, precise and focused on maximum effect, which rarely exceed the two-minute limit and combine explosive songs, a good songwriting with driving sawtooth fuzzbeat in a pleasant way and the fifth book is already out. Superb!!!

"Death To The Fuzz Family will unquestionably appeal to all the fans of raw, melodic, energetic Punkrock that carries all the vital elements of Hardcore Punk, Post-Hardcore, Proto-Grunge, and Indie Rock." (THOUGHTS WORDS ACTION - 30th January, 2023)

A few band words: "Yes boys & girls, it's Ford's Fuzz Inferno's fourth EP of totally fuzzed-out Punkrock awesomeness. Featured are the (relatively mild) track 'My Reality', which was previously available on the Book Of Fuzz - Part 1 CD, plus four more scorchers. Fuzz on!"

SUZANNES - New Disease EP 1978

Well, this record is nothing new in Blogland, every one of my friends has posted this, and now I'm the last, here we go: Early Dutch stuff now by the Suzannes, a four piece from Enschede who were active in 1976-1978, and this is their only record on De 1000 Idioten Records (cool name). The band consisted of Fedde (vocals), Loek (guitars), Dick (bass), Klaas (drums) and as the cover says, 2000 copies were pressed. Influenced by the Ramones they called themselves after the song 'Suzanne' by Leonard Cohen, and it was always in the repertoire in their own special version. Without an interruption they played all their songs in one go (their concerts were famous for ecstatic proportions). Six cool songs, of which 'Teenage Abortion' is the most famous one and also, besides 'Hippie', invited to some relevant compilations. JoJoJo!

THE MONTYCOATS - You're Mistaken 7'' 1981

Four piece combo, probably from Amsterdam, called the Montycoats and they consisted of Jan (vocals/guitar), Guus (guitars), Simon (bass), Martin (drums) and this is a cool two-track cracker where the flip seems a bit tired. Nothin' much Info but SingSing Records made a re-release in 2009 where I pick a bit background: "Despite the several phony band names listed on the back sleeve, the Montycoats and Rotjoch were the only two bands to record for the Egmond subsidiary." This little label gave birth to a tape compilation called Gelanceerd Door Egmond also in 1981 with four bands who were probably all from the same town and the missing third song by the Montys' from that goodie is included in this bag, and your teeth are gnashing again after the weak b-side. Sometime after this single came the end and from then on they dedicated themselves to growing tulips, lived happily and carefree by the North Sea. - Great Polydor Record!

FORD'S FUZZ INFERNO - The Book Of Fuzz (Selected Verses Part 1) 2022

It's fuzz time again and you know which band is known for that?.... That's right: Ford's Fuzz Inferno from Kekerdom and the last two years they released three splendid EP's and this little compilation is made for those who prefer a little round silvery packaging, and an unreleased song is added to the three singles and in total we have eleven songs which achieved maximum results with only drums, guitar and reverberant vocals, very classy. Hans & Patrick do a first class job and are by far the best duo I know and their wild and unbridled sound is pretty damn appealing and makes me think of old times as I savage to Septic Death or Raw Power etc... Pogo danced and this feeling puts a smile and a little melancholy on my face, it's been a long time and getting old physically really sucks, and I think, you know that as well. And there's news to announce: In January 2023 their new EP Death To The Fuzz Family will be released with five more fuzzed-out Punk executions and the vinyl rip will follow as soon as I can rip again and it's my turn to change that, but at the moment I'm still a bit off the mark. Patience dear friends.. patience!

And as usual, I want to give you a short and appropriate review (and there are only positive ones, which doesn't surprise me): "Walls of garage-damaged, blasted combo amp guitars topped with sweet in-your-face croons; these chaps serve up hit after should-be hit. They don’t rely on the heaviness, but they get there because they just want to crank the shit out of those guitars, you know…to fuzz ‘em up." (Robert Collins, MRR #467 • April 2022)

And what the two say about this bloody Sucker can you read now and even if a download is available here, buy this CD and support the band because they deserve it: "Hi Boys & Girls! A while ago Mr. Hans & Mr. Patrick found out some of you don't own a record player and don't care very much for them digital download things either. But still, you do need to hear - and feel - Ford's Fuzz Inferno's crushing fuzz punk awesomeness blasting through your rooms, don't youi?!. Each and every day that is! Well, there's no need to be sad, because Mr. Hans and Mr. Patrick love you just as much as they love all their other young friends. That's why they selected 11 tracks from their first four EP's and released them on Ford's Fuzz Inferno's first CD! Especially for you! So buy that disc, enjoy the tunes, eat your vegetables, destroy the neighborhood and fuzz on!" I love FFI!

FUNERAL ORATION - Survival EP 1986

Brrrrrr.... it's gotten damn frosty and that needs distraction and the next combo do this perfectly: Funeral Oration celebrated positively feedback with their remarkably debut Communion and left clear marks in the Dutch Punk scene, followed 1986, after some line-up changes, with the Survival EP on Remedy Records and this was recorded in Amsterdam by Peter (vocals), Hayo (guitars), William (bass), Ferry (drums). The four songs on this little piece of wax impress with their fantastic melodies and sophisticated lyrics, mainly due to the unmistakable vocal style of Peter (R.I.P.). The main track was guest on the Weckewerk compilation Not Great For Great Men and made a big impression on me, but somehow I lost track of the band and years later I grabbed the second album, which came out in 1987 on Swaddle Records, but that didn't excite me much and I sold it again. Anyway, let me give you a suitable review of this post: "Although the band has reformed and has had some line-up changes, their patented power sound comes across as strong as ever with the release of these four songs. Combined melodies and loud thrash come forth with harmonizing vocals and straight-forwards lyrics, all making up this band’s creative sound." (Martin Sprouse, MRR #40 • September 1986) Nothing to add, enjoy the platter & turn the heating on.

THE ROUSERS - Magazine Girl 7'' 1979

Nice PowerPop goodie by the Rousers from Broek op Langedijk, who brought me pleasant joy with their first album A Treat Of New Beat (1980), and it's a blast. The hit potential of this 7Inch wasn't recognized by the general public and the original is today a very sought record. Two versions exist with different covers. They made a total of two albums and three 7Inches and in 1982 most of the band went on to form The ThoughtA delicate selection and suitable for breakfast beer.

- Great Thx to Fredrik -

V/A - Powerpearls Vol.5 1999

It's Monday and time to put worries and anger aside with one more compilation of the great Powerpearls series. Volume 5 travels again to worth seeing places on our beautiful, colorful world to collect rare songs and carry out his mission accordingly and the name speaks for itself. I would say a little more than half are familiar and the rest convinces me as well and it's always a pleasure, to rip such fantastic records, and if you are looking for a hobby, take this one.

SHITH - Tonight She's By My Side 7'' 1980

Three piece from Spierdijk called Shith and they were formed in the late seventies and consisted of Peter (vocals/guitars), Jos (bass/keyboard), Rob (drums). They did a lot of gigs in youth-centres in the WestFriesland region. This is their first 7Inch on Loof Records with two fantastic and driving tracks which you can grab here. It has catchy pop elements reinforced by the keyboards that the band are great at, especially the title track creating brilliant vibrations. That shouldn't detract the flip, it's okay too. In 1985 the band broke up. There are few compilations with Shith, but these are worthwhile. And there is a new sign of life in 2017, a new EP Permafrost (Loof Records, 200 copies) with five songs came out, which officially released at a concert (Rock De Bok) in Wogmeer on 19. August 2017. And live, Shith aren't finished yet either. Excellent music that stands the test of time.

V/A - It's All Been Said Before... EP 1993

...Yes, it's a bootleg Punk!' and not a bad one at all. For an unofficial release, the artwork (a 9-Page booklet sleeve) is amazingly elaborate and available at a low price, I think I paid three euros for this slab. All songs are already been released, details here, and the song/band selection is also impressive and shines with nine fast loud goodiesSome familiar to me, some new. Reason enough to enjoy this record at a relaxed moment. It's going to be hot today, that means 🌞🌊

FORD'S FUZZ INFERNO - Fuzz The Universe! EP 2022

This is the last part of the 7Inch triology by Ford’s Fuzz Inferno, the Dutch duo who like to upset their neighbors and ours. This time it took a long time to rip the record due to various fatigue on my part and lack of time; but today, on the first day of July, I'm banging these four Fuzzies on your ears, and believe me, they let every deaf hear again. A few fuzzy words from the Inferno itself:

Hello boys & girls. A long time ago, when Mr. Hans + Mr. Patrick were still very young, there was neither space nor time. There was nothing and it was pretty cool. Then Mr. Hans + Mr. Patrick heard a big bang and suddenly there were suns and moons and stars flying around like crazy, with no sense of direction whatsoever. This is called the universe. The universe is extremely boring and badly organized. It has no value and no purpose. Fortunately Mr. Hans and Mr. Patrick live on planet earth, which is somewhere else. Planet earth rules, the universe sucks and aliens are stupid and ugly. That’s why Mr. Hans + Mr. Patrick decided to call their third EP Fuzz The Universe!. It makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?! Of course the songs are totally awesome, so play them as loud and often as possible! Fuzz On!

A Review: "The music here is really driven by the roaring guitar. It sets the pace for the rhythm section rather than vice versa. It’s big, static-y, and yes, “fuzzy.” The band injected a few trad Rock’N’Roll elements: notes running down the scale and the occasional tamborine. The medieval imagery on this release (and all their others) adds a fun, out of left-field vibe to the music. (Dov Malzberg, MRR #468 • May 2022)

Well, finally a few own words: Mega!

The Book Of Fuzz - Selected Verses (Part 1) with all the EP’s + a bonus lullaby is as CD available. I really hope that wasn't the end of the journey and that the return from the universe will follow. We will see.

PITFALL - Separation EP 1981

Four piece from the Holland with their only record on Re-Records, we're talking about Pitfall from Wijk Bij Duurstede, a tranquil little town south of Utrecht, and they consisted of Haiko (vocals/bass), André (guitars), Corina (bass/vocals), Frans (drums) and in 1980 they released a C60 Tape via Finger In The Dyke, together with Six Minute War and this fucker contains thirty-one blasts which were recorded live by two concerts each band. I guess only a few know about the existence of this bloody cassette and so almost nobody reached this little work of art, including me. Seperation isn't a wavebreaker but a nice record with five goodies with female/male vocals and I like that. Compilations featuring the band: Cumstains Over My Record CollectionUtreg Punx 1978-1982Here we go...

ETON CROP - Timmy Barker Is A Coward 7'' 1980

A band that's completely new to me is Eton Crop, and since they don't tend to indulge in the dirty sound, that's probably fine too. A bit of info from the web: Inspired by British bands such as the Fall and the Undertones the band were formed 1979 in Nieuwkoop by Erwin (vocals/guitar), Ron (guitars), Corné (bass), Peter (organ) and Ed (drums) and they started to release a split cassette (with Pistache BV) full of punk pop with an experimental slant. They released a total of twelve singles and four albums over the next fifteen years. Frequent visitors to the UK, they toured with many of the "pre-C86" groups like The Membranes and The Three Johns, the latter with whom they shared a not too dissimilar musical approach. While many groups from that era downed tools towards the end of the decade, Eton Crop battled on into the mid-nineties, their last full length album, Get Real!, appearing in 1992, eventually bowing out in 1994 with the four track EP Everybody. The band later changed their name to the E.C. Groove Society and started producing techno music until 2003. Recently the band reformed under Eton Crop and performed in Stockton, County Durham at the Peel Regenerated Festival in 2014. Well, two small pieces on this, why not?

V/A - 1984 The Third 2LP 1987

One of my favorite compilations is the double album by the important French label New Wave Records, who released a small series called 1984 in the Eighties with tons of international bands and every release is a direct hit in my opinion. Also Freunde, Volume 3 was pressed 1500 times and there are thirty-eight bands/songs to discover, plus a detailed booklet with lots of infos and lyrics and and and... I love such loving and detailed slabs because they not only make an impact acoustically, but also visually and I'm certainly not alone there, and on days off like these, the pleasure is doubly pleasant. The only downside is that I have to write so much and don't like to write much. I've already thought about not writing anything anymore, but I don't like that either. What a conflict hahaha... Now I'll open a beer and the subtle reference to Volume 4 (the last part) and the first two will follow... someday!
