The Marionetz was a german punk band (first as "The Marionettes"), founded 1978 in Munich and this city had at this time a pretty cool punk scene with lots of essential bands, ZSD, Condom, Pack or FKK Strandwixer to name a few. This album was recorded and mixed at the Metro Studio in Munich, April-May 1981 and published by No Fun Records. Goody sound paired with funny lyrics and always worth hearing. As appetizer you can download two songs from the essential Soundtracks Zum Untergang 2 compilation on AGR. One and a half years later (December 1982) came to the following sounds review: "Looking at the scene you can't get away from the Marionetz, even though they are not longer be called punks and classify their music as uncompromising Power-Pop". - Their No-Fun-LP is selling well in hardcore circles and their performances are acclaimed by Undergroundzines writers. Marionetz appeared, fuckin' hell, on radio & television, shows that the group is medium. Their football anthem "Heya-Heya T.S.V." was even played in the Olympic Stadium Munich.

KOMMISSARIE ROY - s/t LP 1981
Now a request and this is the one & only album by Kommissarie Roy, a cool Swedish rock'n'roll combo from Klippan (a kaff in the Swedish province of Skåne) released on Svenska Pop Fabriken. "Here's just rock", says Thomas, guitarist, singer & songwriter. Kommissarie Roy is rock'n'roll. A young group (no one older than twenty) with a swinging, maffig sound and serious everyday lyrics. "That will be the case. You are honestly writing. You write what you think and if you're not a simple idiot the words will come out easy. On the debut record the band is a quartet but has been expanded with singer Kristian from canceled Noise. - I'm singing on the LP and I never thought I was a good singer and so we always have liked Kristian", says Thomas. Pop Fabriken shows interest, always looking for solid Rock'n'Roll bands, and finally took them under contract. They went into a studio and recorded this decent slab with lots of fun. Inspektor Roy has to go to Stockholm and play if they want to reach a big audience. Staying in the province was not enough but the feedback was not as desired so the band terminates. In 1991 followed a small life sign in form of a 7Inch called 1981-1991 on Skivfabriken and then the band was carried to the grave. On three compilations represent, including the famous double LP's Vägra Raggarna Benzin Vol.3+4 from 2015 on Massproduktion. Ready for thirteen hot smarties in just thirty-three minutes?..... for sure!

V/A - La Repera 1996
Ah Fuck, unfortunately nothing with the DFB Cup yesterday and thus also next year not internationally present, after all a very good game of the SGE and congratulations to the black-yellows. Let's go to what's more pleasurable, talk about Get Baque Records. A private amateurish 'label' which specializes in rare stuff, mainly from Europe, and all music is ripped from original vinyls and it's 100% D.I.Y. and pressed in a limited edition. I think someone has digitized his record collection and shares this in form of CD-R with us, simple artwork to that and finished is a small musical highlight. I'm sure this is a lot work and takes toil and time but the result is worth the effort. This is the first GBR compilation with twenty Spanish rarities 1978-1983. Well, whether I would sell them is another story. So, thirty degrees today, time for sun.
1.La Cloaca - LA BANDA TRAPERA DEL RÍO
2.Esperando En La Puerta Del WC - BASURA
3.La Pluma Electrica - KAKA DE LUXE
4.General Idi Amin Dada - MORTIMER
5.El Rey Del Pollo Frito - RAMONCÍN Y W.C.?
6.Ira Roja - RED BOX EL ROJO
7.Ya Nadie Cree En Le Revolucion - ALMEN T.N.T.
8.Tieso De Talegos - ESCORBUTO CRONÍCO
9.Matanza De Una Noche De Verano - GARAGE
10.Muevete - MOTOS
11.Unidos - PARÁLISIS PERMANENTE
12.Descontrol - PVP
13.Te Vere A Las Diez - SPRAYS
14.1984 Euroshima - T.N.T.
15.Muérete - LA UVI
16.Felices Dias En Auschwitz - INTERTERRÖR
17.Treblinka - KGB
18.Pow 1! - OX POW

DIMPLE MINDS - Der Maurer & Der König 1988
The Dimple Minds are a German metal-punk band from Bremen, founded in 1986. Musically, they are characterized by proximity of metal-rock (Nonnentanz), in the lyrics does alcohol play a central role. Quote: "Everything we want is soccer, rock, beer and hot womens!" Many serious plays are evidence of healthy self-irony: So are also personal weaknesses (for example, does not comply with exaggerated sexual expectations or lack of financial liquidity) processed several times in the songs. In some cases their records were sold only to people at the age of eighteen (???). - Visit the Dimple Minds at home for more info. This little sucker contains the 'Blau Auf'm Bau' EP from 1986 and 'Trinker An Die Macht' album from 1988. Now enjoy one or two cold beers!

KILLERLADY - Minneapolis 7'' 2010
The first official release from Killerlady since the 'Ladyshave' 7" in 1999. The solo project of Martin, singer of the legendary german punkband EA80, with two exclusive new songs. Limited edition of 300 pieces in an exquisite package with many extras. 'Minneapolis' is a haunting, cool psycho number, supported by Martin's distinctive voice. In contrast, 'Fashion Pig' is a swinging hit in rumba rhythm, charming and humorous! Both songs were recorded in a minimalist home-recording style with beautiful noisy effects. If you want more check Heinrich's Einwegwelt Blog.

ROINE'S KVARTETT - Dansparty 1 EP 1984
From Gothenburg came this four piece and founding members are Roine Lundström (guitar), Mikael Drottz (vox. & keys), Mikael Ahlquist (vox. & bass) and Mikael Gustavsson (drums). Their only record was released on Rue Roine's Records and they went to Stockholm for the recordings. A few copies were sold and they did a couple of gigs before splitting up in 1986. All three songs are good, especially the keyboard give the songs an unusual twist and is not annoying, Yeah!, I like their '77 powerpop/punk sound and I think you as well. Apart from that, no further information. Probably today, all four are millionaires and the sun shines on their stomach somewhere in the Caribbean, they have earned it :>

V/A - Bloodstains Across Belgium #2 1998
A long day with lots of music is coming to an end and I will finish with sixteen essential punkrock blasts from Belgium, Number 2 Bloodstains from this small country and before I talk more blah blah blah shit only the hint to Volume 1 and I guess your visit in my little world today was worth it. I'm pretty much through and will chill out the rest Sunday. It's a real pleasure listen to my vinyl nuggets and I must confess, since the mp3 age I make that much too rare, stupid or...? I will change this and you should do so.
1.Kill Your Son - RAXOLA
2.What Goes On - CHAINSAW
3.Do You Wanna Know - THE KIDS
4.Working Man - STAGEBEAST
5.Third World Image - UNDERDOGS
6.Belgique - SPERMICIDE

8.My Father Is A Fascist - STRESS
9.Jet Boy, Jet Girl - ELTON MOTELLO
10.Wildcat - RAXOLA
11.Rape Her - PINCHERS
12.A.O.D. - DE JEUGD VAN TEGENWOORDIG
13.Z'Heroes Guts - CHAINSAW
14.Re-Pulsion - CELL 609
15.Nuit Blanche - CONTIGENT
16.Kontrole - DE BRASSERS
V/A - Z Siege EP 1987
A record that was eternally waiting to be digitized is the following little notable complation that came out on Bunker Music and today it is done. Four great speedys: Cólera kick off with an untypical Brazilian one, a solid mid-tempo number with excellent lyrics, we know aggressive tones from the boys, Dunkle Tage from Göttingen with a live track, very dynamic and fast but I can't still warm with them, not my case. WDM from Finland is rather my taste, uncompromising Hardcorepunk with fat sound and an exclusive track, not on their 7Inches include. Rounded off by the Bingener metalpunk combo Circle Of Sig-Tiü which tell us what they think about Germany, a real blast and I can only agree with them, thirty years later and nothing has changed, aahhh.. I love their dirty rough sound. They made three good records and came to an end in 1988. Now one more Jever and ripping another slab and you grab this first-class EP before the sun goes down.
1.Somos Vivos - CÓLERA
2.Nehmt Euer - DUNKLE TAGE
3.The Key - WDM
4.Third Reich In Disguise - CIRCLE OF SIG-TIÜ
NOVA EXPRESS - Jerk En Chine 7'' 1982
Just as little information about Nova Express, a five piece from France, which bless us with two New Wave nuggets on their self-produced record. The title track is rather a cozy pop song while the flip is clearly the winner, mystic melancholic driving tempo under a gloomy hood, precisely the character of the drama Phantom Of The Opera. In 1986 they were still represented with two morepieces on a compilation and then disappear in the far distance of nothingness. I'm going to disappear shortly and recommend myself.

COLDREAMS - Morning Rain 7'' 1986
This is one more interesting slab by this five piece from Clermont-Ferrand and not much is known about Coldreams only they has released one cassette in 1985 ('A Crazy Night') and this damn rare single, their only record, via Rock Hardi. This sound is called coldwave and I don't know what this means. Both songs are pretty minimalistic with no Beethoven bums and are for my taste somehow magical. I like these monotonous rhythms and the guitar dances over it, reminds me of the gloomy albums Faith or Seventeen Seconds by the Cure. Both songs do a decent job and with the female vocals they get delicate spells and relax me fully.
GAROTOS PODRES - Mais Podres Do Que Nunca 1985
Back early in the morning and the weekend is approaching...finally, I'm honestly exhausted by the last days and need rest. And before this working day begins a short trip across the Atlantic to Garotos Podres, a Brazilian punk rock band that was formed 1982 in the municipality of Mauá, in the metropolitan area of São Paulo. Influenced by the punk rock bands of the late 70's and early 80's, at that time Brazil was at the height of the punk movement in the country and several bands arose mainly in large urban centers. This is their debut album on Rockers Produções with eleven decent Oi! hits and I love the minimal distorted Brazilian guitarknarz, brilliant record. More info in the file. Have a nice day and enjoy the music.

KSMB - Rika Barn Leka Bäst 1981
On their second album "Rika Barn Leka Bäst" (transl. Rich Feather Flock Together) KSMB left the punk in part on this record, I mean, it's still there, but this album is very different from their brilliant debut album Aktion. It is widely regarded as the worst of KSMB's only three albums and was also a step away from pure punk (test for comparison this small 7'' collection). One track (Blått & Guld), for example, included a brass ensemble. That first sounds scary and sometimes I think the record is extremely poppy but if I longer to this album so I think it has been criticized unfairly pejorative. Well, today thirty years later, we look on it with different ears and I wish there were more bands playing this kind of music. So I mean this is a cool powerpop/punk album and I think it will convince you. Would be interesting to know what you think.

PYLON - Cool 7'' 1979
Now a bit early stuff by Pylon, an American rock band from Athens, Georgia. The band's danceable sound, a blend of new wave, post-punk, jangle pop, alternative rock and funk rock, influenced the Athens music scene and the 1980s American pop underground. This is their debut single on DB Records and the a-side is a pretty nice poppy mid-tempo tune, love this sound because it's soooo impulsive and simple, cool guitars and the female voice rounds off the song to the whole, a real cracker. The flip weakens a bit, rather such a post-punk thing, not really my cup of tea and in the long run a bit annoying. Anyway, a record which is different and not uninteresting. The band released three albums and many 7Inches. Vanessa (vox), Randall (guitars), Michael (bass) and Curtis (drums) and after turning down an offer to open for a major U2 tour, they decided to break up the band in late 1983.

DETOX - s/t LP 1985
Well, I found this classic one on my hard drive and it was posted by a few bloggers but a lot links are down and now I listen to this great slab and I think, post it again because it's fuckin' worth. Detox was a band from Los Angeles and they released one 7'' and two cool albums, all on Flipside Records. This is their debut one with thirteen comfortable punk killlers, not fast but KBD fit. I would not write more about them because there was a great review from the unfortunately inactive kfth side and I use one to infect you with this great band: "Holy shit, Batman! An original sound and brilliant cover artwork. Lots of bands love dem skulls, but few, if any, ever thought to use their own as part of the album cover design. The flat finish (no gloss) is fantastic-looking, and quite unusual too. This record really grows on you after a few listens. Sometimes they have almost a rockabilly-type roots sound or a country twang, but this changes from song to song. Most are just plain different. In place of solos, the guitar often has a very piercing sound like a circular saw grinding on metal (I can see the sparks flying now). Detox also have deceivingly slow melodies, which are backed up by strong drumming and bass playing throughout. Really good production, plus extra added parts like airplane noises, and dual vocals singing different lines at the same time that show the special attention they paid to details. A needed break from the ordinary." - Thomas Siegel (from Ink Disease #9, Summer 1985) - Unfortunately, a sad info at the end: drummer Lance Krantz died at the age of 37 on a heroin overdose on 15.July 2001. So get this awesome album and enjoy their nice punky songs.

ARM - The Victory Of Forgetting M-LP 1991
Hailing from Hamburg, this is the last record by this female fronted punk band called ARM. They agreed for this album the dutch label Konkurrel and they board here seven alternative/punk tunes through. I remember, I saw them in the Fabrik in Altona 1990 and their performance was pretty wild, particularly Danielle (vox) & drummer Stephan (Slime, Torpedo Moskau, Angeschissen, etc...) were extreme ecstatic as if there's no tomorrow. Maybe that this gig was their final one but I don't know for sure. Anyway, it was an enjoyable evening. From the power of their live show is unfortunately this record miles away. The songs bobbing a little bit uninspired and with no real highlight therefore the music raises me not out from my chair. The production is okay, artwork too and a lyric-sheet with it, so for this reason I give seven out of ten points.

DETERMINATION - ...Push It As Far As You Can EP 2003
Holy Shit, this record is a fucking great hardcore satisfaction! Deternation come from Bruck/Burgenland in Austria, an area where you can make first class holidays, cycling or drink wine. Whether this is also true for HC-Punk? Yes it is! - The band smashes nine one minute songs out which need your attention. So I found here a great review from Maximim R'n'Roll and I have nothin' to add: "Energetic and fast, yet nihilistic and drunken hardcore punk from Austria that is oddly full of posicore-like chorus shouts. Listening to this band live, I bet punks are confused as to wether they should join the mosh pit and sing along with pointed fingers oe if they should go out into the alley and drink until blurry nausea overtakes them. Doing a bit of both, I suppose, is the solution. I would say the sound on this group's third EP falls somewhere between Poison Idea and Y2K-core. Sort of a strange mixture, for me anyway, but it seems to work. I dig this record, but I think this would be even better with less of the shouted choruses, but that's just subjective bias put forth for the few out there who hold a similar view. The singer's intense voice and the fantastic guitar and drum work make this worthy of your attention either, so check it out." - Released in limited edition of 666 copies. Killer Stuff!!!
- Special Thx to Reinhard -

V/A - Raw & Rare British Punk #3 1997
A request is fulfilled with the following compilation of this mini-serie where the word 'Raw' is not really true but it doesn't matter, it's another famos meeting of rare UK singles on a record, of course again released by Raw Sounds and as well as in a simple presentation - Decent mix of sixteen powerpop/punk goodies and the original 7Inches, you know, are nowadays hard to get, that's the meaning of such slabs. I approve myself a Jever and know that you are enjoying this sound and don't miss Volume 1+2 from this theater. ★

MOPOT - s/t EP 1980
Mopot (Mopeds) is a PunkPop Band founded 1978 in Suolahti. Large source of inspiration for them were The Ramones and The Boys (ramo punk later became quite popular in Finland). This is their debut 7Inch on Suklaa Levyt and a little classic and brings four Punk pearls and was released in an edition of 400 copies, re-released 1984 via Kråklund Records. Click Mopot for more info. In 1981 they released a second record 'Rakastan Sua ' on Johanna and also on some compilations. If you like some finnish 1-2-3-4 punkrock this is a good choice.

SKABB - Skabb '78 EP 1978
Early swedish punk band from Stockholm, they recorded only this EP (Mistlur Records), and changed there name to Molotovs early 1979 after some line-up substitutions. But there were nothing recorded under the new groups name as they quit later the same year. Drummer Bosse Löthen nowadays work for the swedish radio. Skabb's music is classic D.I.Y. punk with sax and pretty low-fi. Quite different from what I am accustomed and a real gem. I really like all three songs here although I'm not a friend of saxophones but I think it comes how to use it and the bass-line is pretty cool and sounds fantastic. Lied #1 wurde later auf dem Sveriges Största Singel compilation verewigt and even honored on Killed By Death #666. Try, smile and have a great weekend!!
WC³ - Captain' Valium 7'' 1981
Superb French record by this combo from Saint-Quentin and this their debut 7Inch on CBS. The A-side is a decent mid-tempo track while the flip is for my taste far from it. Pretty biep biep sound and you find more info via this orange letters WC³. The band trapped and it was impossible to leave CBS to be driven by another label that would invest more in promotion. The band recorded distressfully three albums and Janine, keyboardist and guitarist, committed suicide.- Present on the Frenchy But Rock compilation from 1992.
PSYKIK VOLTS - Totally Useless 7'' 1979
Psykik Volts, a group of 18-year-olds from Dewsbury/West Yorkshire, who formed in 1978 and put out their only release on Ellie Jay Records and disappear after a short existence. Totally Useless can be found on Killed By Death #6 alongside other glorious hits. They were renamed Pop-Tones and release one more single 'Wooden Heart' on Square in 1980.

DIE WESTDEUTSCHEN CHRISTEN - Laß Mich Nicht Allein 12'' 1980
A fairly unknown band traveled through the eighties were Die Westdeutschen Christen from Berlin. The band's name is a bit funny and I would be interested as the guys came to it and christian rock came somehow later, poser noises... rather, very good NDW sound in the vein of Grauzone or ExKurs, thus quite similar to New Wave and catchy and simple without being superficial. All the four songs on the record are nice and danceable. They released their full length s/t album in 1982. So this sound of this 12'' is absolute characteristic for the early 80's in Germany and was released via Epilepdisc. All in all, no failures, a fine record and anyone who likes minimalistic sounds is right here anyway.

DISTRUST - A Dream Of Peace EP 2008
One more on this rainy Wednesday and nothing info can be found about this swedish Hardcore band, but who cares anyway. There's a bit info on the back cover and I use my swedish and it seems this is an unofficial release. So a few words I have: This reissue is the full 7-track cassette by this Swedish D-beat hardcore band, originally out in 1983. Rip-It-Up rawness galore, this band featured members who later played with ASOCIAL and SVART PARAD. All in all the seven songs are fast, dirty and loud and very beautiful are the melodies which has every fuckin' song to offer. I mean, the boys bludgeoned not so brutally on their instruments, No! - they play excellent hardcore punk and sung in their native Swedish language and as a small bonus is a live cut which was recorded in 2006 with it. A respectable pointer! - TIP!
BRACES CARRIER 69 - Kühl Servieren EP 2002
Old school Oi! Streetpunk from this nice combo from Cologne with five songs, one side in German the other in English. Not the political garbage, cold served clear announcements to stand to your personality and not be a moron and give up, is the situation also hopeless. Fight!! Bought this piece many moons ago in a secret place I have forgotten. The band was active from 2002 - 2006 an this is their lone record on Streetmusic Berlin. Really a pity, such cool stuff is rare in those tired days.
V/A - Killed By 7Inch #10 EP 2000
With this EP, the small edition Killed By 7Inch is complete and all other volumes are here. Number 10 was not easy to find but who seeks finds, isn't it? Four rare goodies of course and the Invaders one is the best on this record, they released one 7'' and this is the a-side and a solid mid-tempo tune, the flip is a waste of time, Amsterdamned's hardcore tune were taken from the compilation Als Je Haar Maar Goed Zit #2 from 1983, excellent stuff. Florida based band F starts the b-side with a fast track from their 'You Are An EP' single on Intendo Distorto Records from 1984 and last but not least the False Prophets with the title gem of their second slab Good Clean Fun from 1982. I'm sure, your breakfast will taste better with this sound. I will take a shower and come back soon.
1.Launderama - THE INVADERS
2.Melting Pot - AMSTERDAMNED
3.In Control - F
4.Good Clean Fun! - FALSE PROPHETS

THE DALEKS - OK! EP 1980
Another superb record is this little fucker. The Daleks launched the label Exterminated Products in 1980 with their 3-track EP 'OK!'. The record stickers were accidentally printed without the copyright smallprint, so each copy was released with a folded A5 slip of paper with the correct label design plus lyrics and photos on the reverse. This appears to have been their only official release, and it's pretty good, if unmemorable. Rejected was used justly for the England Belongs To Me Vol.4 compilation (coming soon).
- Huge Thx to Fredrik -
RAZZIA - Ausflug Mit Franziska 1986
Welcome May and you start with crappy weather and what the fuck? So I have to immediately unpack the best Razzia slab and spit in your face. - I guess, the second album was for many a surprise (me included). Was on the debut hard political punk rock recorded are here for the first time synthis used and textually the band become more personal and nested and I came up sometimes with the second listen what is meant in some songs and I recommend you a decent translator to understand all those ingenious words. Musically, the band use all their instruments exactly where they belong and I appreciate the courage to take this step. I'm not a good reviewer but I promise this record is an excellent document of German subculture. I hope the concert will comin' soon. All thumps up!!
