Third part of this damn cool mini-serie which came via 77 Records to us. Eighteen rare UK smasher from 1977-1982. I know a quarter of the songs, the rest is new and I guess that their 7Inches appeared on small short-lived labels, or self-released, in small editions. Very good compilation in any case and the first two volumes can be found on the Posts By Country section which I re-upped. England Belongs To Me is presentable and in total there exist four of them (all strictly limited, I guess 500-1000 were pressed). Excellent Friday sound!

Can't say exactly where I got these beautiful recordings but the early concerts of The Cure are always a highlight for me because I grew up with them and they are still part of my life. Eighteen songs from their first four albums recorded here in a very good sound quality and it's amazing that they sound still fresh and audible at all times. Thanks to unknown for this pretty nostalgic dessert. Don't miss them in Melkweg/Amsterdam 2.12.1979 which is almost even better and further stuff on this Blog.

SLIME - Musa, Göttingen 04.10.2012

In 2012 entered Slime from Hamburg the stage again and in the baggage their new record which appeared almost twenty years after the Schweineherbst album. Of course I was curious and had to see them live (last was 1990 in the Fabrik). Although I did not like the new album very much, I was hot for the gig, especially as I wanted to hear the old classics. So we go to the Zoom and experienced a refreshing evening with lots of fun, beer and a band in an euphoric playing mood, as if they had never been away. Grandios! Now here are quite good recordings from their show in Göttingen, enjoy!

CIRCLE JERKS - Live @ The Fillmore 24.05.1982

Yeah, one more excellent live recordings from my favorite live band Circle Jerks. I had the luck to experience them twice and the gentlemen are giants with their energetic short, fast pieces. Of course, I have all the records until the VI, the last (Oddities, Abnormalities & Curiosities) is a disaster. Funny that I didn't digitize any of them, I should change. I recommend you another show at the Fabrik/Hamburg 02.12.1987 and as you know Keith is still active in the famous combo OFF! which was formed 2010, nor harder, furious, pissed hardcore and pure energy. Proof of this are recordings from a gig 2013 in Sydney which stumbles your speakers. Enough bla bla, fire-free for finest American Hardcore!

LOST KIDS - Live Copenhagen 2005

Ok, the response to yesterday's post is modest and I admit is a matter of taste. Let's start today's cold gray Sunday with an excellent live gig by the Danish Lost Kids which was recorded in Copenhagen. Connoisseurs know they have released two albums, some 7Inches and compilation tracks in the 80's and how it came to this concert eludes my knowledge. Anyway, the sound quality is excellent and powerful and presents the band in top form, was certainly a nice show. Good start for breakfast, continue ripping vinyl. WIDOWS - Balls'N'Bollocks 2000

This Bootleg compilation is no longer in my closet, you probably suspect why. Anyway, this record contains the rare Overscrupulous EP, Wall Of Berlin EP (both released 1979), the Were Comin EP and their only full length Fun? from 1980 plus tracks which was recorded live @ Tavastia, Helsinki 25.5.1980. The Widows were formed in early 1970's by brothers T.B. Widow (vocals, bass) and Johnny Widow (guitar), after been influenced by bands like New York Dolls. It wasn't until 1975 that they got a permanent drummer as Rocky joined them. The first one, for Love Records, had been recorded in 1978, but for some reason wasn't released until May 1979. This delay didn't make the band happy, so they switched to Poko Rekords after that. Things didn't work out very well within the band: Rocky had had enough and left, and Jacky announced that if Kelloggs wouldn't be kicked out, he would leave. So Kelloggs was out, and new guitarist J. Blockhead, as well as drummer Archie, was in. This lineup recorded the Fun? album in 1980. However, the lineup changes hadn't improved things that much, and Widows started to fade out. The finishing blow came when Jacky was sentenced to jail. Widows, in essence, was disbanded. Still, they played one more gig in Lepakko, with Pete Malmi on vocals, and even visited studio (T.B., Johnny, Pete Malmi and Affe Forsman on drums), but the recordings were never released. (Info by Mika Saastamoinen). They are represented on numerous compilations. Excellent stuff in every way.

DEAD KENNEDYS - The World Has Gone Down The Toilet 1984

A few re-upps are done so we come to today's post  with one more fine live stuff by the Dead Kennedys and this time recorded @ the W.O.W. Hall, Eugene/Oregon 17.11.1984 and comes via Dungeon Records, limited to 150 copies in red and transparent vinyl and the tracklist on the back is wrong the correct one below. I think I do not have to say more words and if it's a broadcast recording I don't know but the sound quality is relatively good. Of course, as usual with enchanting announcement of Jello and great stereo effects. A top start into tne new week, or?

CRISIS - The Guilty Have A Past 2004

This unofficial compilation by State Laughter Records is full with fourteen nuggets and we talkin' about Crisis, a band which was formed 1977 in Guildford, a large town in Surrey, with the lineup of Phrazer (vocals), Lester Jones (lead guitar), Douglas Pearce (guitar), Tony Wakeford (bass) and Insect Robin (drums) and they released in their short lifetime three great singles and a mini-LP. "Crisis adopted slower tempos and concentrated more on the atmosphere and tension of the music rather than just making a loud, generic thrash.In many ways, by 1978 they were already dabbling in a style which, much later on, would be referred to as Post-Punk, not a million miles away from early Joy Division or The Ruts’ moodier moments." In early 1979, the band underwent a major change in personnel when Phrazer and Insect Robin were replaced by Dexter (a longtime fan and roadie) and Luke Rendle. After performing their last show, supporting Magazine and Bauhaus in their hometown of Guildford @ Surrey University 10.05.1980, the band broke up.

So you know where you belong, I would like to conclude September with a fullblast and this unofficial release is a collection of Japanese punk & hardcore rarities from the years 1980-1985 and you know how difficult it is to get the originals, especially from the Far East, therefore I'm always happy when someone shares such bootlegs of its goodies with us. I can't confirm that all the bands are from Nagasaki but that is irrelevant anyway. Crazy wild noises as I'm used to from this island... nothing stays dry here. Worth mentioning the detailed insert with all information about the songs/bands. This is a pearl hardcore product, 500 shots, don't miss!!! - Have a great weekend!

MISFITS - Live In Detroit 1983

Oh No not another Misfits bootleg .... oh yes!! This is a broadcast recording in an acceptable sound quality I would say. Twenty-two horrorpunk nuggets and this record was released in an edition of 500 copies by Radio X in 2016. They bring the gig decently into your room and of course they are more dynamic on Konserve, example Earth A.D./Wolfsblood. I think, a good start for February and this slab will quickly warm you up.

NIRVANA - @ Roskilde Festival 26.06.1992

What should I write here? Everyone knows Nirvana and there are so many numerous bootlegs available after Kurt's suicide in 1994 + the sell-off thus boosted. Personally, I have never experienced them live because the hype about the band really passed me by and I had no opportunity at that time so I think: I missed something historical. Of course I bought the records then and realize how great they are and I regret, not having been there. Anyway, Kurt, Chris and Dave have caused a sensation and remain unforgotten and they proved that impressively alive and those who caught a gig can confirm this and I believe it on the basis by such awesome sound recordings too.

V/A - British Underground 1977-1982 Vol.2

There are days I really like to sit at the computer and postin' some rare stuff, today is such a day, and let's come to the last cream on this coldy Sunday and it's an unoffical compilation from Chaos Wrecords, released in an edition of 700 hand-numbered copies (I think in 1994) and this fourteen British Underground pieces are certainly not the best of UK punk & wave goodies (in my opinion) but it's another piece of countless bootlegs (it's good that they exist) and the song selection is not bad. I cannot say how I came across this series but it was worth and I bought this record via ebay. I love English punk and with the Disco Zombies and Crisis are two of my favorite bands on it, so bring it on. Of course required Volume 1 and a total of three slabs of this mini-serie were released to date and the last one follows then in 2022. Now enjoy the rest weekend with beautiful music, cold beer and other intoxicating means + the sun.

ANGESCHISSEN - @ Hamburg/Störtebeker 21.12.1994

Here is an amazing live recording from Angeschissen, a Hamburg combo which existed from 1984 to 1988 and they were one of the influential and stylistic punk bands of the Hamburg scene in the 80s and consisted of: Jens (vocals), Christian (guitars), Daniel (bass) and Stephan (drums + vocals). Christian was guitarist of Slime from 1980 until his first dissolution, where he had played together with Stephan; he was also drummer of Torpedo Moskau. Both brought hardcore punk into the style that hit American influences like Wipers and Rites Of Spring. In addition to singer Jens, Stephan also wrote some of the lyrics. The musical style of the band can be described as powerful dirty snotty melodic punkrock which is, in my opinion, live more intense and dynamic as on plate. In 1987 they released their first EP 'Angst Macht Keinen Lärm' via Buback. A year later comes the first longplayer, Angeschissen, with twelve goodies out and it was exclusively as vinyl record released. Then the band was supported by the studio guitarist Atli Grund and a split slab with Rachut's second band Das Moor came out also in 1988, shortly after the band was carried to the grave. In 1997 the Hamburger label Schiffen released a double album with all the recordings, this time also on CD. Follow-up projects by Jens were then Blumen Am Arsch Der Hölle, Dackelblut, Oma Hans and Kommando Sonne-Nmilch. So this is an excellent live document in a very good quality and I saw them a few times and I like to remember their great, impulsive and funny performances. Their only important compilation contributions are on the great Hamburg '88 album by Bitzcore.

Let's continue where I stopped yesterday, and yes, they exist: Volume Two!! A Mexican label called Chinga Tu Madre Recordz has pity and released this wonderful compilation in 600 handnumbered copies, 300 copies in green vinyl and 300 copies in black vinyl, with fifteen Spanish smasher and I think a worthy successor to the first record. Healthy mix, never boring and some 7Inches of the bands in the blog. V/A - La Repera 1996

Ah Fuck, unfortunately nothing with the DFB Cup yesterday and thus also next year not internationally present, after all a very good game of the SGE and congratulations to the black-yellows. Let's go to what's more pleasurable, talk about Get Baque Records. A private amateurish 'label' which specializes in rare stuff, mainly from Europe, and all music is ripped from original vinyls and it's 100% D.I.Y. and pressed in a limited edition. I think someone has digitized his record collection and shares this in form of CD-R with us, simple artwork to that and finished is a small musical highlight. I'm sure this is a lot work and takes toil and time but the result is worth the effort. This is the first GBR compilation with twenty Spanish rarities 1978-1983. Well, whether I would sell them is another story. So, thirty degrees today, time for sun.

DISTRUST - A Dream Of Peace EP 2008

One more on this rainy Wednesday and nothing info can be found about this swedish Hardcore band, but who cares anyway. There's a bit info on the back cover and I use my swedish and it seems this is an unofficial release. So a few words I have: This reissue is the full 7-track cassette by this Swedish D-beat hardcore band, originally out in 1983. Rip-It-Up rawness galore, this band featured members who later played with ASOCIAL and SVART PARAD. All in all the seven songs are fast, dirty and loud and very beautiful are the melodies which has every fuckin' song to offer. I mean, the boys bludgeoned not so brutally on their instruments, No! - they play excellent hardcore punk and sung in their native Swedish language and as a small bonus is a live cut which was recorded in 2006 with it. A respectable pointer! - TIP!

RAMONES - @ The Palladium, NYC 7.1.1978

"Hey Ho Let's Go" - Yes, you know what comes... Yeah, the Ramones and I must tell you not much. In the World Wide Web there is sufficient information available. Like the Sex Pistols, the Ramones stands for punkrock of the first hour. Every punk has their records in the shelf, of course even me. Unlike the British with their snotty anarchic style the Ramones playing short, melodic, snotty 1-2-3-4 hymns and influenced a lot of bands. They were also different from the outfit; leather jackets, worn jeans, sneakers and long hairstyles (like the Beatles), almost in uni-look, the Ramones outfit was born. For me in addition to the Dead Kennedys the best band from the U.S. - This bootleg was recorded at the Palladium in New York City on January 7, 1978 in an amazing sound quality. Tommy Ramone is the drummer on this recording. He left the band soon afterwards, although he continued to work with them as a producer and manager, this is his last album as drummer. Hard to believe that all members are dead. I will listen to the Ramones till my death because this feelin' is etched in me. Have fun with this sound and "Gabba Gabba Hey" my true followers.

TURBOSTAAT - @ AJZ Bielefeld 20.03.2015

Turbostaat is one of my favourite German combo and their gigs are always emotional and never shit. Together with the Mönchengladbachers I visit every concert that is near Frankfurt and I like their records but what I find pity they didn't play old songs, only as encore. Well, two years ago they gave a two-day gig and played all the songs of their five records which was fantastic, I've never experienced this before and that makes Turbostaat unique and that's why I love them. The ones who saw the band live know what I'm talking about and maybe they go for a world tour.... these recordings have an amazingly good sound quality, I had dragged this from youtube and cut this in painstaking workin' apart and pushed the sound a bit higher, as you are accustomed to by me! Pics you can see on Honeymilk. So, hope you like this eighty minutes act plus the artwork and maybe I have one last for today, Cheers!
