DIE SCHLIMMEN FINGER - Horst EP 1991

Now the last post for this year and it's from a band I like a lot and after this I'm leaving home. The band story of Berlin's Schlimme Finger is relatively short. Founded in 1982 as D-Marx took the band a year later a new guitarist and changed the band name in Die Schlimmen Finger and published in 1985 a Split EP with Disaster Area on the Pogar Label. It was followed by numerous gigs in Berlin and Switzerland. Finally, the drummer left the band and it came in 1988 to the final end. Musically, the combo plays melodic german punk with funny lyrics. Very nice and correct popular songs. This EP was pressed in limited edition by Crime Records in transparent vinyl. I'm sure you will like this - al last: "I Wish You All A Happy New Year" - See Ya!

OSLO BØRS - 3 Spor + 1 EP 1979

Norway, the land of icebergs and Vikings, up in the ice cold north there is was small scene with bands like KJOTT, HÆRVERK, OSLO BØRS, who were classic '77 styled. This awesome EP comes in a gatefold sleeve and pressed with a small center hole. Estimated to be limited to 500 copies and mainly distributed in Norway. The band's name is translated as "Oslo Stock Exchange". And again I must say this is unfortunately the only publication from this classic band. I add in this file one more 7inch, Simply Brilliant!!!

V/A - Flops Of The Pops 1991

Ohhh, what a great evening I had, thanks to my friends (which was magic). Well, it's a tradition that a lot of punk record labels (mostly german, for example: AGR, Weird System, Double AA, etc...) use for their first publication a compilation LP. It shows in what direction the label goes & they prefer and what we, the users, can expect. Incognito Records put out their debut LP in 1991 and with bands from all over this planet. The label is known for their awesome '77 punkrock classics and they're always up for a surprise. As far as I know all these songs were not anywhere published and therefore this is plate a rare piece of round black vinyl, containing a 16-page booklet and at lasta pretty D.I.Y. cover. The eyes are satisfied and I promise you the music does too!

SCAVENGERS - Born To Bullshit 7'' 2002

This record is a fuckin' must have! Both tracks rip your heart off and it takes over 20 years the small label Raw Power Records released this superb single in an edition of only 200 copies. No idea why it took so long. Both tracks are real killer and I can promise you will be blast. Here's some info from wikipedia:

The Scavengers were a New Zealand punk band, formed in 1977. In 1979 they moved to Melbourne/Australia and became The Marching Girls in 1980. Formed at Auckland Technical Institute by Graphic Design students, Ken Cooke, Simon Monroe, Mike Simons and Marlon Hart as "The 1B Darlings" in 1976, the band was heavily influenced by British R&B, Glam Rock and '60s US Garage Rock. In 1977 they renamed themselves The Scavengers, gave themselves punk stage names (Cooke as Johnny Volume, Monroe as Des Truction, Simons as Mike Lezbian and Hart as Mal Icious), and their style mutated in the direction of the US Punk rock and pre-Punk Rock acts. Through much of 1977 they were, with The Suburban Reptiles, the only Punk bands in Auckland.

In June 1977, with The Suburban Reptiles and The Masochists, they played New Zealand's first major punk gig at Auckland University. During this time their repertoire was mostly covers but by early 1978 they had written a set of original tunes. In late 1977 bassist Hart left to be replaced by Brendan Perry, who performed under the stage name "Ronnie Recent". He later reappeared in The Stimulators. In March 1978 they began a residency at new Auckland Punk Club, Zwines. Soon after Simons left (inspiring their signature song "Mysterex"), and Perry moved to vocals. Two Scavengers tracks appear on the Ripper compilation AK79 and a posthumous album was released in 2003. Perry later formed Dead Can Dance and Monroe (aka Des Hefner) played briefly for The Birthday Party during the band's final tour of Australia and New Zealand. Monroe went on to play in a series of Melbourne-based acts including The Slaughtermen and Maurice Frawley. Both Cooke (Go Public and Daisy West) and Monroe are still working musicians in Melbourne.

The Scavengers were hugely influential in Auckland in the late seventies, inspiring a whole generation of young bands and their importance goes far beyond their few releases. They reformed in 2004 for a one off show in Auckland without Perry, and again at the AK79 reunion in 2008.

Both tracks were recorded 1978 and you can really feel the anger and the spirit of the early days of punk life and proves this feeling was not only in Europe or the USA alive. Get this!

PPPÖNK - PP. EP 1997

Here’s a blast from the Icelandic underground past. The band started in 1997 with an exchange student named Benjamin Jay Kline, who studied in Flensborg High School. He had agreed to partake in the school’s singing competition, with his own song. When the time came he decided to go to the movies instead and asked his “sister”, Laufey, to sing it instead, to which she agreed. The school band had one Freyr Gígja on guitar and Guðni on drums, and their co-operation proved so fun that they decided to continue, and recruited Nonni on guitar and Bjössi on bass. While waiting for the drummer on their first practice, a chap they knew named Kjartan was out walking his dog, and dropped in on a visit. He sat behind the drum-kit, counted in, and thus the band was fully formed. The band had one popular song, called “Surferboy” which got on some charts, and was released on a compilation CD called “Drepnir”. Then Freyr dropped out and Gísli Árnason took his place. The Sugarcubes’ label Bad Taste got wind of them and released this awesome 8 Song EP in 1997.

CHUZPE - Love Will Tear Us Apart 7'' 1980

Chuzpe was very likely the first real punk band in Austria and was founded in 1977 by the Austrian Underground-/New-Wave-Band singer, guitarist and songwriter Robert "Räudig" Wolf with versatile cast and "Wiener Schmäh" (With Weaner Schmäh is popularly referred to one of the residents of Vienna awarded mentality, which is characterized by humor or the associated state of mind: often somewhat melancholy, sarcastic or morbid, humorous and belittling, sometimes slightly cunning and mischievous, often grantelnd (misanthropic), usually accompanied by a smile and friendly. The term libel is not associated with an insult in conjunction). They sang English and Viennese. Under the influence of the Ramones and Sex Pistols, their music evolved more and more into punk. In 1978 they recorded in the gorilla studio a few songs and which four were selected for a single. This would have been the first punk release in Austria but the production was, unfortunately for cost reasons, set prematurely (Two songs were posthumously released on the noteworthy Austro-punk compilation Es Chaos Is Die Botschaft from 1997). In May 1979, Chuzpe appear with three songs on the Wiener Blutrausch compilation. The band performed in 1979 for a short time as Robert Räudig & The Beat Boys and published in the same year, the first Chuzpe single and their style already went towards into neo-garage and mod-wave. This was the beginning of a development that Chuzpe were known as one of the Austria's most successful new-wave bands. The absolutly brilliant cover of Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', which made it to number 8 in the Ö3 charts is awesome and one of the best covers I ever heard. As Chuzpe77 the band released in 2003 a 16 song album with their old stuff in heavily guitar-based versions. After a farewell gig in 2004, the project Chuzpe77 was buried.

V/A - It Happened..But Nobody Noticed (Australian Underground 1976-1981) 1986

A brilliant collection is this unofficial release of some of the 45's released during Australia's most prolific independent era of 1976 to 1981. Over two decades before the White Stripes and the Hives made 'garage-rock' the new buzz-word, numerous Australian bands were cranking out a raw, high-energy music which had all the elements that the kids are hankering for today. So pick this compilation and enjoy this awesome stuff from alotta great bands and alotta great music!

2.Time Enough For Love - FUN THINGS

TYRANTS - Hard To Get 7'' 1981

Bret Starr (guitar), the son of late 60's American football legend Bart Starr, Ed Guerriero (vocals, harmonica & keyboards), aka Eddie Lee Sausage of "Shut Up Little Man" infamy), Dan "Radar" DeMars (bass) and Jim Lukes (drums) were the Tyrants, an early Punk and New Wave band formed in 1979 in the frigid climes of Green Bay, Wisconsin. This little piece of a rare record is their only output, released on Miller Management and issued in five different picture sleeves. The song "Attitude" was their calling card, despite being the official B-side of this record. Both of these songs were later featured on compilations: "Attitude" was compiled onto "Hyped To Death: U.S. and Canadian Punk 45s" and 'Hard To Get' was compiled onto Teenline N°.103 - American Pop-Rock & Powerpop:"T" '76-85. Both tracks are catchy and ideal for a carefree sunny day on the beach.

STREBERS - 7'' Collection 1985 - 1990

This is a little compilation full of 7inches by another awesome Swedish punk band which come over with a powerful and melodic sound and nobody can just go over here. They released a lot of 7inches and albums, and they present on a lot of compilations too and you can catch more in the net about them. Here's a bit info I would give: One of the classic swedish punkbands in the mid 80's. Influenced by bands like Asta Kask and in 1987 Micke from Asta Kask joined Strebers as a full member on guitar and vocals. Songs were conceived by drummer Johnny Rydh, who whistled melodies to guitarist Mikael "Ulke" Johansson. Johansson then in turn translated the harmonies to electric guitar. His distinctive guitar sound played a major role in Strebers' songs, which were a mix of punk rock and Swedish folk music, while Rydh wrote most of the lyrics. The band first split up in 1988, Rydh and Ulke then started the band Six Guns together with the bassplayer Ztikkan from Rojnes and Crystal Ocean. Before they changed the name back to Strebers in 1989 with the same line-up as they have had in Six Guns. Early in 1992 the drummer Johnny Rydh was killed in a car accident and the band then decided to quit. Ulke and Ztikkan later formed the even more successful band Dia Psalma. Strebers reunited in 2000 for a gig at the Birdnest-anniversary in Köping. They also made a reunion-tour in 2001 and played at the Hultsfred-festival in 2003. This little file contains the Ung & Arg! EP ('85), På Liv & Död EP ('86), Mitt Blood EP ('88), Flickan & Kråkan EP ('90) and the reissue Bad Boys...Behind Bars! EP from 1991 which has the same songs like the Mitt Blood EP but with different artwork. A lot of stuff also but the Strebers are quite brilliant and positive vibes are guaranteed.

MRTVI KANAL - Prošlost I Budućnost 2008

Mrtvi Kanal was punk band from early 80's, from town of Rijeka, Croatia/former Yugoslavia. They never made it to the vinyl which unfortunately was a cause with many former Yugoslavian bands, but this awesome compilation of their early recordings is an absolute classic. They started as a classic punk band but soon they developed to a darker punk/new wave sound, and they had very powerful lyrics as well. They sing in Croatian about socially related stuff with razor sharp punk sarcasm that even had no mercy for punks as well, old punk from around here, a real identity and not just a life style fashion to fit in. Electric harmonica as a constant equal instrument in the band's sound collage in itself gives testimony to their proper tone. Past and future of the Compilation edition that the first seven songs combines footage emerged on the tape that was in 1983, therefore, at the very end of their career, shared with the group Cramp, while the remaining six shots from the very beginning of the bands career in 1979. The older material, unfortunately, is primarily characterized by poor sound quality, which is why some songs irritating to listen more carefully. Great pity, but I guess that's about it made the best deal possible. Feel it, of course, in music, but the most bother the ears of the vast differences in image quality. This release to me is all the more worthwhile & interesting, and definitely recommend to all lovers of punk and ''The Past & Future'' is another excellent album from the musically most significant period of Rijeka and forms a necessary part of the collection of new wave fans. In any case, praise edition.

TILT - Runął Już Ostatni Mur EP 1985

Tilt is a Polish wave/punk/rock band and regarded as one of the first punk bands in Poland. Founded in Warsaw in 1979 they've been existing with several breaks until now. This is their first release (Already Collapsed Last Wall) with 3 numbers. Special mention here that the saxophone is an integral part in all songs and it is my opinion here a good idea. I do not know a lot of punk bands that used at that time such a Instrument. All sung in Polish which give the songs a special charm. A very good first output and their best one. The following albums are too much poppy to me. Check it out.

PSYCHED UP JANIS - I Died In My Teens EP 1995

Psyched Up Janis was a Danish rock band started by Sune Rose Wagner, now a member of The Raveonettes, Martin Bjerregaard, and Jakob Jørgensen. They played their first concert in Sønderborg under the name of Western Front, in 1989. Psyched Up Janis recorded their first demo entitled I Never Change in 1992. That year, the band moved to Copenhagen and Martin Bjerregaard joined the band as drummer. The trio went to Sweden to record the first, self-financed, record, I Died In My Teens. The song by the same name made Single of the Week in Kerrang! This EP is very rare and is one of pure class which supplies you with solidlinks, steady bass riffs, obsurd lyrics and excellent music. A band that not many people have heard of. So get it right now.

ASB - Never 7'' 1983

From the French side in Switzerland came this short-lived band called ASB (Area Sole Band) and they were formed October 1980 by Jean-Jacques Olivary (guit), Blaise Schmidli aka Blaze (bass), Thierry Savary (vox & guit), and Yvan Mettraux (drums) in Yverdon, near Lausanne. They released in total three 45ers, all self-produced and today all rarities. I couldn't find more info about the band and even the swiss Bible of Punk only mention them!!! The A-side is a short mid-tempo number and the right track for another Killed By Death compilation while the flip is more reggae/mambo influenced. Nothin' wrong here, a fine record.

BLITZ - Heil Reagan 7'' 1981

It even sometimes funny, because I'm looking for this little pearl for years and now I got them sent twice. These are the beauty moments of a bloggers life, haha....here I found a little review which which I can only underline. "The first work of this Berlin quintet is truly brilliant. 'Heil Reagan' has powerful rhythm from bass and drums, plus a frenzied guitar and english vocals. Very interesting-sounding female voice. Real Underground. 'No Time' is a real melodic reggae-influenced song that suddenly goes off, the voice is insane. For me, one of the best singles of the year 1981." (Eugene Honold, Pretty Vacant No.8, 1981) - They later also appears on the awesome Soundtracks Zum Untergang (coming soon) compilation under a new name (and more wavish approach) M.D. BLITZ and then it became quiet around the band.

- Special Thx goes to Fredrik & KHS -

THE OUT - Who Is Innocent? 7'' 1979

So, X-Mas is over and forward into routine. YES!!, this is everytime a sunny moment & all the shit here's quickly present. UUAARRGGHHHHH!!!! "Leber Geht Weiter!!!" and here's a fine piece of vinyl which was released on Rabid Records and it's the first record by English combo The Out. Side A is a refreshing PowerPop song with a nice keyboard intro and then turned into a melodic shiny guitar sound, support with driving drums, a number one song I would say, the flip is also cool, more punk background here. So in the end, a fantastic record and if anyone has their second (Better The Devil 7'') for me this would be nice. Aloha and out!!

EA80 - Dezember EP 1989

Last post for today and its good those damn fuckin' days are gone. This is the very best punk Christmas record I know so far. Why? Well, EA80 is in fact the best german punk band in the world and all the four songs here are AWESOME!!! And they present these in english so that everyone hillbilly understands what the band thinks of fuckin' Christmas. This EP was only sold in the last three weeks before Christmas in three consecutive years (1989-1991). Today a coveted collector's item. I think, I bought my copy in the beginning of the 90s, but I'm not sure, anyway. There is not much to report because every release from EA80 is brilliant and for those who heard this band name for the first time: Caution! They Infectious!!! - And now, dear people I'm leaving you and wish you all a rest nice damn Christmas and come all across well.

V/A - Navidades Radioactivas 1983

This nice X-Mas compilation was released by the Spanish label DRO, mainly with releases of Spanish new wave groups, from pop to punk or industrial. (today, the DRO label is owned by Warner Music Spain, S.A.) The song selection on this LP goes exat in this direction. Each in its own way pretty charming and the versatility of this LP makes this interesting. I love this album and I'm sure you too. Highlights are Aviador Dro, TNT and Siniestro Total. Beautiful record, great rare Spanish synth/punk, a must have!!

12.Resurrección Blanca - AGRIMENSOR K
13.Afunfun, Afanfan - SINIESTRO TOTAL

DOG DETACHMENT - Machines 7'' 1982

A band which I never heard before is Dog Detachment and they were a new wave/punkrock band formed by the Armstrong brothers in Johannesburg in 1980, first playing under the name "Dog". They played a subversively independent, high pressure brand of rock that they themselves referred to as "Stormtrooper Pop". Their first album, "The Last Laugh" was completed in 1983 and it's a fuckin' blast. They unleashed the title track upon an unsuspecting media, and blew the public away. They released three albums and singles and this here is their 2nd release with two awesome tracks. In 2001 RetroFresh released a Compilation CD called 'Best Kept Secrets' an overview from their three albums with rare tracks added. The best of a band that did not believe in compromise. Very interesting band that you would like to hear more.

VONN - Bubble-Gum EP 1983

What a splendid storm last night and I slept like a stone, and I'm still tired. I'm glad when this day is over, need a fuckin' break. Next record is a three song smasher from this youngsters which were founded in Montpellier, in the sunny south of France. Released on Mr Vinyl records the boys offer a healthy '77 mid-tempo punk sound, neither more nor less. No more info further and who needs such superfluous details. Excellent EP and their only one. Now I would prefer myself to lie in bed again but the fuckin' everyday life screams for me. Well then, adieu!

OLSEN BANDE - Christmas EP 1993

One more fuckin' X-Mas post this year and soon again begins the routine called everyday. Gone are the quiet days and the madness in form of noise, people, cars, stress, etc.. begins again. Alle Jahre Wieder!!! - The Olsen Bande (featuring members of the legendary Boskops) from Hanover released three EP's during their existencen and send Christmas greetings with 3 aggressive snotty punk numbers. Song 1 was re-recorded and provided here with German texts (there's an English version available but i don't know where), the two others in English and treat the vexing issue with neighbors and the shitty society values. And after "Not My Life" comes a short fascinating Christmas poem, read by a young lady. This whole record is published by Nasty Vinyl and was only pressed 500 times.

WELLBLECH UNTERGRUND - Woher Wohin 7'' 1983

Wellblech Untergrund were founded in 1981 as a four piece band in the Linz area. While they initially played Party Punk with many cover versions, they quickly found their own style with lots of melody, polyphonic songs and uncomplicated lyrics moulted thus secures its place at the Linzer punk headquarter Kapu. After their debut single in 1983, they contributed two numbers to the Sparkassen sampler called '2. Linzer Rock Nacht', which "Heut Nacht" is one of their strongest songs. Topic is a Saturday night in the town: going out, meet friends and get girls. The lyrics read like a confession of youth punk culture in every village and a very charming post donates to a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon Punk in Austria. Wellblech Untergrund developed in the following years to a rudimentary psychedelic avant-rock band and performed in the mid 80s as opening act for Einstürzende Neubauten and The Jazz Butcher in Vienna. From start to finish they played in the same occupation and broke up in 1988. "The departure from the scene was not much fanfare. The band broke up, because the air was simply out", recalled Wellblech singer Tomislav Zuljecic in the late nineties, in a letter to Alexander Magrutsch. Too bad, I think, because the two songs here have everything what a good punk record should.

OHL - Jenseits Von Gut & Böse 1986

Formed January 1980 in Leverkusen by singer under the stage name "German W" (W stands for "resistance"). Four years after the start of the punk wave in the U.K. was OHL one of the first German punk bands. OHL, an acronym for Supreme Army Command were one of the pioneers of German punk. The band is due to their political texts and iconography throughout their military record covers as controversial. After a self-distributed cassette Herbert Egoldt paid attention to the band and produced two EPs and their first LP "Heimatfront" on his label Rock-O-Rama. The band was, like most punk bands, fierce, uncompromising and provocative. Lyrically polemic against both the radical left and the radical right, mixed with a wild and hard sound are OHL a perfect example of German hardcore punk. "Jenseits Von Gut & Böse" is a no hard hitting political punk album like the previous ones but its still the most mature work of this period. May you be surprised but I promise you this is real OHL and this pretty record should be in every record collection.

STOCKHOLMS NEGRER - Fy Fan Svenska Flicka 7'' + Jag Är En Vit Neger 7'' 1985

Stockholms Negrer was a Swedish punk band, active with concerts in the second half of the 1980s. They released four 7inches and three albums, here are their first two ones. Formed by Michael Alonzo from KSMB with amongst other his brother "Totte". Johan Johansson the drummer from KSMB played drums on the first Stockholm Negrer record and did some gigs with the band, but was never a real member of the band. He had his own band at the same time called Strindbergs, Lutte Larsson, an other drummer for the band, earlier played in Sixten Redlös. During the 90th century the first half, they continued to play much but made no further recordings. Their provocative lyrics and image still continues to annoy and upset. For example, the two songs from 1986, "Gratis Hora (Free Whore)" and "Djävulsrasen (Devil's Race)" are so controversial that they were forbidden to be given out on vinyl and exists today only in some occasional surreptitious copies of cassettes, distributed by the group friends. Rough '77 punk sound with a lot of tempo, a typical Swedish classic record. Nothing wrong here! After the reunion of KSMB the band split up. Compilation featuring the band: "Kyssar Från MNW", "Volym 4 Den Bästa Svenska Musiken 80-Tal" and "Svenska Punkklassiker Volym 2".

EPPU NORMAALI - Jee Jee 7'' 1978

Eppu Normaali is one of the most popular rock bands in Finland. The band formed in 1976 in Ylöjärvi, a small town near Tampere, whose lyrics are written in their native language. The band's name comes from the movie Young Frankenstein by Mel Brooks. The brain, which has stolen the laboratory assistant is labeled with the name of 'Abby Normal' and actually a warning that the brain is abnormal. Abnormal translated into Finnish means Epänormaali. The band's first public appearance took place at the Rockin SM-Cup in 1977. The jury was unimpressed but singer Juice Leskinen encouraged them to send out demo’s. Soon they were signed at Poko Rekords and released their debut album ‘Aknepop’. Styled after the Ramones it was filled with short punk-pop songs. While the band has sold in Finland more than 1.5 million albums, they enjoy legendary status and all the albums, at least one gold record, have generally receive platinum or multi-platinum awards, but outside the Finnish-speaking countries they are hardly unknown. This 7'' was released via Poko Rekords and here we have 2 great punk rock tunes. Splendid!

REKLAMATION - Namnlös EP 1980

Just visit Sweden and encounter this rare & amazing KBD punk record which was ca. 500 times pressed. Founded in Stockholm as a four piece combo and this is their only release but it proves once again that Sweden had at that time an intact punk scene. All four songs kicks every fat ass and you're a fool to ignore them. Dirty catchy guitars without exception at cyberspeed as I like it. Info about the band I cannot find but who give's a shit, the music here is fuckin' great and all members are millionares today. They feauterd on these both compiltions Varning För Punk & Killed By Death #51. Reklamation? Yeah, a must have!!!

GREG SAGE - Straight Ahead 1985

OK, folks...what should I write to this amazing artist/music/record?? Greg Sage is the man! And for all you people who don't know him first told he is the head of the brilliant Wipers. You can buy every record from this extraordinary band and none of the albums is disappointing. I must confess: I'm the absolute Wipers freak and so I am little biased but this is Greg Sage solo here and We both love his stuff. He wrote songs that really catch you and you find yourself in every single one (at least my beloved girlfriend and me this went for). I could now tell stories where, when we heard this fantastic LP but I'll spare you, this is mine. On this record twelve unique grenades which Mr.GuitarMan wrote in a fit of melancholy aggressiveness and I can understand every single feelin'. Believe me, I say this not because I like him, this is pure magic and there are cartainly a few on this fucking planet who can do that. Well, my life hangs through and this sound kicks me further forward! Fat thanks to Lars which brought me to the idea to post this album here because he missed it and was amazed....me too. Includes all cover scans and ripped in glorious 192 kBit/s. Get It!!

LOS VIOLADORES - Y Ahora Que Pasa Eh? 1985

Los Violadores (The Rapists) is called a music group that was founded 1980 in Argentina. They played mostly punk rock with Spanish lyrics. The group, which is regarded as Argentina's first punk band, parted several times, but is active for their second reunion since 1999. Musically influenced mainly by the Clash, they played punk music with social criticism texts. In the process of national reorganization in Argentina their shows were canceled, the band members arrested several times and it was forbidden to them under their original band name provocative act. Therefore, the band appeared at times as "Los Voladores" (The Flyer) and spread their music in the underground scene. Although they started playing at the beginning of 1980 in small underground clubs, the band clearly shows their "Anti Dictatorship" position and their debut album, recorded between May & June 1982 during the "Falklands War", and was released in 1983. Unlike the raw, thrashy hardcore produced in neighboring Brazil, Los Violadores are more '77 influenced. In 1984, Los Violadores were asked to contribute a track for the now legendary P.E.A.C.E. compilation. By then, they were already changing direction towards a more commercial one, something typical for many bands from the era. Their second LP "Y Ahora Que Pasa, Eh?" is definately more rock/pop influenced, but still enjoyable. So enjoy this awesome album as I do and watch out for more releases.

V/A - Smashed Again!!! [Special] 2013

It's time to post another selfmade compilation which I made for our vacations and it gets me very sad but I think you will like it. Here's the original description from my old Blog: I'm still amazed that Forward Into The Past is yet popular and is still online, shows that you have taste ;). I also think that comp. is well done and a worthy successor was a real challenge. But here it is: again full with rare music from the early punk days mixed with new stuff, punkrock from all over the world. Once again my deepest thanks to all my blogger friends, supporters and those who provide me with songs and information, and of course those who leave their comments. And here I would like to ask the following question for you and tell me your opinion: How do you like this comp, what song and why exactly this song? Don't spare criticism, numerous comments would be nice. I'm excited to see what comes of you. With this post ends the week with temporarily various stuff and I think it was not a bad choice. MFD - All Of This EP 1987

For those of you who don't know who M.F.D. is, they were a mid-tempo, melodic punk band from D.C. who were active in the mid-to-late-'80s, rubbing shoulders with the likes of greats such as Government Issue & Black Market Baby, really catchy tunes that had one foot in punk and one foot solidly in rock. This EP was their first release by DSI Records in 1987. Melodic and intelligent DC hardcore, but closer to the GI's sound than to the other Dischord bands; they're expanding and improving the sound of their first LP without experimenting too much. Tight, tuneful, and songs that will be remembered. Great stuff.
