EA80 - Alle Ziele 2001

Yesterday I had a slightly crappy day because the work was so damn hideous, so I went out and decided to walk at the main and listen to my friends of EA80, don't think that when I feel bad put out the EA80 records, No! No! (rather Cure albums) but whenever I hear the Gladbacher I feel much better and so how it should be, right? Alle Ziele is the eighth album and one of their best, rough fat production (as Schweinegott 1998) and all songs are dynamic and powerful blasting right from the start. The highlight is the ten minute song "Waldmenschen" which is a superb example what great musicians they are and how much emotion can be put in one fuckin' song and I didn't felt this by any other band. Who has seein' EA80 live knows what I'm talking about. Lyrically, as always, very demanding and critical, and those people who put this band in a "depro" drawer has nothin' understood or are deaf and blind. I know, I praise the guys very high but many fans confirmed this through their numerous visits at EA80 gigs and that's not always easy. Alle Ziele is a further milestone in the EA80 discography and far away from the traditional punk crap. Glorious vinyl rip made to play always loud!!!!!

V/A - OX-Compilation #53 2003

The OX is probably the best-selling punk fanzine in Germany and I think they were the first who put music with their Heftschä, first as a 7Inch and then as a CD. This gives bands the opportunity to get to know a bit, or to promote new releases, of course for a little cash. The compilations are usually very well mixed, great covers and there is also much to discover. Here's # 53 with thirty-one fat punk rock blasts (and the only X-Mas song).

2.Sang Sans Sens - OPÉRATION S
3.Total Teen Degenerate - REAL LOSERS

EA80 - Geburtstag 7'' 1989

Today is a special day because a very good friend I know through and through has birthday today and I honor him with his favorite band EA80 with their second rarest single. 100 copies made that were never sold, but given to friends of the band on their birthdays. Each copy comes in a different gift wrap and is personalized for the particular birthday child. Recorded May 1987 @ Joswigstudio Düsseldorf during the Mehr Schreie sessions. On the B-Side is nothing, a mute track so to speak. This post is dedicated to everyone who celebrates birthday today and everyone who always celebrates. Let it crack!

EINLEBEN - Rauchzart 1999

Another band that I like very much and have I seen at many places in Germany and always enjoy is Einleben. A five nice sympathetic combo founded around 1994 and unfortunately dissolved in 2003. This is their second album with ten beautiful, melancholy punkrock numbers, often two-part singing with much power and strong melodies. The songs have the necessary attention to detail and are very mature. Einleben carry a lot of feelings, melancholy, variety and strength in a cold world, atmospheric songs with depth. The charm of the album unfolds it only really after repeated listens, what the long-term pleasure vastly maximizes. Has the first album Bunt a rougher punkier sound so is Rauchzart cleaner in the production, a bit different you know but that doesn't interfere, the platte invites you in the next starless summer nights. Comparisons to other great bands I spare you at this point, the band toured a lot with EA80 and I was lucky to catch a couple. Some members play since 2003 in Hi Tereska. And now feel the november summer sound!

L.S.K. - s/t LP 1997

Start July with one of my favourite German Punk band and it's really a damn good one: L.S.K. from Rathenow, near Berlin, founded in the mid of the 90's and the four gentlemen played punk rock of the gloomy sort. Who love the sound of the Gladbach EA80, like me, will love this record. First you would think this was a cheap copy but I must say L.S.K. do a very very good job. Overall, they have two self produced LP's and a mini-LP and appear on some punk compilations. Their music can be described quickly: fast short songs whose lyrics are usually held in person. I like to listen if I'm not in the mood for people/party or any action. Pretty cool live band. Disbanded in 2000 and they appeared under a new name called Die Angst. In any case: very recommended!!! New rip with new scans, Prost!

KILLERLADY - Minneapolis 7'' 2010

The first official release from Killerlady since the 'Ladyshave' 7" in 1999. The solo project of Martin, singer of the legendary german punkband EA80, with two exclusive new songs. Limited edition of 300 pieces in an exquisite package with many extras. 'Minneapolis' is a haunting, cool psycho number, supported by Martin's distinctive voice. In contrast, 'Fashion Pig' is a swinging hit in rumba rhythm, charming and humorous! Both songs were recorded in a minimalist home-recording style with beautiful noisy effects. If you want more check Heinrich's Einwegwelt Blog.

V/A - Hardcore Vol.1 1988

This nice litte compilation was released via Starving Missile and one more Volume 1 of which there is no second, as so often. Mostly German bands present plus two from immediate neighborhood. Twelve, partly only here, solid punkies with the two, for me ingenious EA80 songs, especially Drums Over London which kicks in the original version is awesome. But even the other bands contribute to a not boring listening pleasure, no fillers on board and a top record, 1000 copies exist.

1.Machine Gun - ARTLESS
2.The Common Man - ARTLESS
3.Drums Over London - EA80
4.Straße Nach Nirgendwo - AIDSCATS
5.Kein Anlass Zur Romantik - AIDSCATS
6.Search & Destroy - K.G.B.
7.Woman - CROWD OF ISOLATED
8.Run 'Til Death - CROWD OF ISOLATED
9.Ostsee - EA80
10.Schokolade & Schläge - BOSKOPS
11.Videot - BOSKOPS
12.Rudolf Hess - DREAM POLICE

DELTA KOPINSKI - Skandal EP 1997

Let's get weird and weird and confused are exact my feelings now but I don't want you tell more because it's nothing new and it would be fuckin' boring I think. Anyway, let's join this band, another side-project of EA80 frontman Junge called Delta Kopinski. Fat bass, driving organ, no guitars, sung by a minor girl, sometimes chaotic & doomy, pure punk rock. This record was strictly limited (300 copies) and released via Junges label Musikzimmer & it got me a lot of toil and sweat to snatch a copy. Highly recommended! A real unicum and for real hardcore junkies like me :)

V/A - Where The Wild Things Are II 1998

Hallo everybody, I'm fresh again and now 2017 will be opened with an international tape compilation which was a supplement by the Sabbel Fanzine, a German Heftschä and I have the chance to get in touch with the maker personally at the end of the 90s at a gig in Mönchengladbach, when Serene Fall played there and he did an interview with the band and I was also mentioned in the zine because he ask me too and it was a great session, thanks for this! At the beginning there was always a selfmade tape with punk from all over the world within and I have two from that, later was a CD enclosed because it's easier. Here now 90 minutes of cool rare punk compiled in loving artwork and much of what I did not know at that time and maybe even today hardly anyone knows.

EA80 - Hinter Den Dingen 10'' 2000

EA80 is punk and all their albums are complete after some tough discussions, they don't need, see no point in pandering to the music industry that is why all records were released in a familiar, loving D.I.Y. manner and that's a good thing. A true gem in the german punk rock world is this strictly limited 10'' of 1400 copies which came out in 2000. Two beautiful ballads with a playing time of twenty minutes. The band also creates it full again and convince those who know only the fast and aggressive songs which are also fantastic (Licht!). Atmospheric, intense, anger and desperation wrapped in a guitar sound that is quite alone in this country. EA80 is a band which keep their standard high for over twenty years. This 10inch is one of the best records in the world and should be in every collection and incidentally, this is probably the most colorful EA80 cover and the next concert is not far away. Thanks a lot for this awesome music!

MUFF POTTER - Bordsteinkantengeschichten 2000

Back in 1993 anyone gave me the demo tape "Bambule - Kleine Geschichten" from this German punk band from Rheine and meantime I've lost it. But I was pleased with their music and I bought their records. Muff Potter describe their style of music as Angry Pop Music, influenced by English and American Indie-/Punkrock like Hüsker Dü, Wipers, Leatherface, but also of German bands like Slime, ...But Alive, Boxhamsters or EA80. In their early days they played Punkrock with profound lyrics without striking or strongly politically phrases. That's what I like, direct in your face!!!! Was the sound during their first records a bit scrapy the band gets with every album musically better & better and in my opinion their first three albums are still angry, desperate, honest, snotty and simply delicate. And by listen to the fourth, I suddenly lost my interest, something had gone, I don't know what but I never come in with the new stuff. You probably know that? Kinda like cycling without a saddle, beer without alcohol, a pale facade... Anyhow, Bordsteinkantengeschichten was finally out and I was eager and it's their best record to date. I remember how often the platte runs up and down, every fuckin' time. They recorded a lot songs for this album and two songs doesn't find a place on the album and were released as 7inch, called the Potthoff EP, spiced up with a witty outro. Both released on the bands own label Huck's Plattenkiste. Every song is great; my favourites are 'Take A Run At The Sun', 'Das Siegerlied', 'Unkaputtbar' and 'An Der Bordsteinkante'. If you have a wire to the bands mentioned above then you must listen to Muff Potter. Salut!!!

EA80 - Licht! + 7'' 1989

Licht! is the fourth studio album by Germans primary punk band EA80 and is faster and rougher as other publications. When this came out I remember at that time I did my community service in Lüneburg and I bought the record somewhere in Hamburg. And I was so eager listen to the album and of course I had no record player there so I must wait two weeks to finally drive home and enjoy this fantastic piece of vinyl. That was a bloody torture I can tell you.... and then after the first listen I was completely blow away, "Wham!" and without exaggeration, the songs on this record are the best I have ever heard, not to top the optimal implementation of the lyrics (about love/sadness/confusion/desperation and reboot) played lyrically wonderful with the music. Their fourth album is for me one of the best punk records ever and has put many times my feet again on the ground in some dark stages of life. Notice: this album was released with a 7'' so don't buy without it. EA80 are and stay uncommercial and document the D.I.Y. spirit in an exemplary manner. Visit Heinrich's Einwegwelt blog for more rare studio, live and compilation material or use the search option in the top left! Unequalled until today.

V/A - Blackbox Compilation 1992

BlackBox was a short-lived German label in Waltrop which released a few 7Inches an the beginning of the 90s. L.S.K. - Momente 12'' 2000

This 12'' is the last release and I think their best one. LSK means bombshelter and they sound once again rough and strong with somber thoughtful lyrics, each slab a unique masterpiece in my opinion. Too bad this band no longer exists but they carry on as Die Angst. Influences by EA80 from Mönchengladbach is inaudible and they do it very fine, No cheap copy!!! They celebrate heavy driving gloomy punk nuggets and do that superb. Founded in the mid 90's near Berlin L.S.K. released their first Longplayer in 1997 which is a pretty gloomy sort album with excellent songs and its a mandatory album for everyone who likes EA80, Serene Fall, Fliehende Stürme, etc.. - Buy their debut if you doubt. Also live the band was mercilessly blown me away and a subsequent table football game was crazy fun, sympathetic guys. As a small bonus I added a live cut from that evening in Mannheim which was in 2000. Brilliant stuff.

EA80 - Der Mord Fällt Aus (Live) 12'' 1989

Of course these men may not be absent at this 9.March. An obscure 12", recorded live at the Spot/Kassel 15.11.1989, pressed in an edition of 300 copies by a fan in the late 80s. Some voices say the sound would be shit, but for a unoffical record from EA80, and I know none which appear earlier, is this a relatively acceptable sound (all five songs from their first 7Inch, also what the fuck?). Comes with an insert what is also not usual for bootlegs and the artwork is nice too in my opinion. The 'full' concert was posted by Heinrich on his Einwegwelt blog but I know its offline... bad luck. So enjoy Mönchengladbach live and more stuff later.

KLOTZS - .com 2005

Nice evening yesterday in Wiesbaden with my Friends from Klotzs, a band you're all waitin' for: 1, 2, 3, 4 Punkrock! Yes, that's Klotzs from Siegen, formed 1997 and they have released over the course of their existence a lot of singles, EP's, two full length albums, one 10'' and this megarare CD. How many of them were pressed is beyond my knowledge. Klotzs are absolutely D.I.Y. and come up with always something new, for example: the Angang EP has a wallpaper cover, the Schnür EP was corded with shoelaces, mostly in coloured vinyl and limited. Like EA80, they do their own thing and that's one more reason for me to buy their stuff. This Silberling comes from the presentation very chic and the CD here is a smaller three Inch one in a therefore specially manufactured packaging made of cardboard, of course with a few notes and lyrics and strictly limited. I'm sure they is sold out quickly. - At this point, my special thanks to iNgo for the great scans, Prost!!! - A few words to their sound. They make emotional noise punk, which is mostly fast, loud and agressive. Like a slap in the face. Inbetween then oscillates slightly a melancholy mood, which mainly through the voice of the singer and the thoughtful texts is generated. Try a sound clip on their MySpace site and maybe you get a stimulation or visit them at home. B.t.w., they toured a lot with EA80 and if you have the chance to watch both togehter you'd be a fool to miss this gig. One, Two, Three, Four...Punkrock!

D.R.I. - Live @ CBGB'S New York 1984

This brings back a lot of memories. In the early 80s I listen to a lot of Metal stuff because I was a Metaller with all my heart. I leave this style when I came in touch with American Hardcore bands like Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Warfare (UK) etc.... so also with D.R.I. The Hardcore sound was an integral part in this scene and then more and more concerts took place I rather visited of course those gigs as Megadeth or Anthrax. 1986 then D.R.I. live in my city, together with Holy Moses (ARRGGHHH!) and this show changed my lifestyle completely. I will not say that they made me a punk because I've also heard some German punk bands, EA80, Slime, Daily Terror, OHL for example, but they were rarely present live as the ami bands. I would say my interest in metal was deleted this evening, First-class performance with pogo till the shack crashed, unforgotten. Who ever saw a D.R.I. gig can attest to this. A little info:

D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) is a crossover thrash band from the United States that formed in Houston, in 1982. The band currently comprises founding members, vocalist Kurt Brecht and guitarist Spike Cassidy, as well as drummer Rob Rampy and bassist Harald Oimoen. D.R.I. never gained a mainstream audience, but the integration of their hardcore punk roots with thrash metal influences was a stylistic catalyst for their contemporaries - most notably Suicidal Tendencies, Corrosion Of Conformity and Stormtroopers Of Death - alongside whom they are considered pioneers of what would later be called "crossover thrash." They have released seven original studio albums, the last of which was released in 1995. Since then, the band has continued touring and intermittently going on hiatus. In 2004, D.R.I. released a web-only demo track "Against Me", their first recording in a decade. For years, there has been talk of an eighth D.R.I. album, which has yet to materialize.

The first three albums are all terrific and as '4 Of A Kind' came out the music was too monotonous to me and I lost interest. I love more the rapid, wild aggressive sound and here on this CD are all their hits. Forty songs in Thirty-Nine minutes. A Must Listen!!
