V/A - Room To Move EP 1980

I wanna end the uncomfortable February with a nice compilation with four bands from Northern Ireland who got this 7Inch dedicated from Energy Records and all songs have the spirit of the early 80's sound and this region is known for its powerpop/punk style. If you need more info about the bands so visit the cool spitrecords (the virtual home of Northern Ireland punk) site and become part of this unique scene and do you want more music? Well, then don't miss both Bloodstains Across Northern Ireland compilations.

1.Cyborg - THE OUTCASTS
2.Belfast Telegraph - SHOCK TREATMENT
3.Take Me - THE VIPERS
4.Snakes And Ladders - BIG SELF

PIEFKE+PAFKE & DIE JUNGS AUS DER DUNKELKAMMER - Und Es Geht Ab 7'' 1982

Piefke & Pafke... came from Hannover and the group consisted of the musicians Manfred Wieczorke and Detlev Schmidtchen, both members of the German Artrock band Eloy, as well as the lyricist and later magaScene Hannover publisher Reinhard Stroetmann. The 7'' is a great minimal-poppy one and a parody to the New Deutsche Welle, with which they represented the fast-paced flattening and commercialization of this genre satirical. Released on GeeBeeDee records the single ...Und es geht ab (...and it goes off) made it to number at least 58 of the German charts. In 1983 the last 7Inch "Auf In Die Galaxien..." came out on Teldec and that's it.

VOGUE - A Doll Spits Cubes 1981

Early Vienna psychedelic band around Gary Danner and Ronnie Urini - legend status. The Vogue is a truly legendary Austrian underground band, which were founded in Vienna in 1978 and they exist until 1982. From it's famous rare debut album "A Doll Spits Cubes" were pressed just 300 copies and because of a dispute, the album was scrapped, obtain a few copies on the collectors' market leading prices. The album was pressed with two exchanged numbers again and is now a cult. Here we have now fourteen songs and they're all great, a 60's spirit sound, trashy guitars and sometimes I think the production is quite thin but I think it was intentional and gave the whole album a brilliant flavor. I'm not much fan of the psychedelic style but this album is really top. Check for yourself!

RED LETTER DAY - More Songs About Love & War 1991

Red Letter Day is a punk band which formed in Portsmouth in 1984 and they released their first single in 1986 which found favour with disc jockey John Peel, who invited them to record a session for his BBC Radio 1 show. The single receive good reviews and two years later the first 12'' came out on Released Emotions Records, a split with The Sect. More Songs... followed three years later and this is my first contact with them. Red Letter Day play a solid heavy loud punk'N'roll with no barriers and you can get more info about the band on punkoiuk, it's worth a click. A very good record with eleven melodic fetzer. And now folks, have an exciting weekend!

- Special Thx to Fredrik -

ISM - Attack 7'' 1980

From the Wanted-List now a rare record by ISM, Punk from Bayside/Queens, N.Y.C. and this is their first release S.I.N. Records. ISM was originally a concept by manager & producer Bob Sallese and lead singer Jism. Larry Ray (now deceased) was the official drummer but Greg D'Amgelo and Dave Miranda appeared on some records and play at some live gigs. They released two albums and the debut album 'A Diet For The Worms' is nowadays fuckin' rare and I never seen a copie elsewhere. Two goodies on this, chunky sound with nice keys. The title track of their second 7Inch was used for Killed By Death #4. So far so good, enjoy!

- Big Thx to François -

V/A - Birkagården Gärdet 1986

I love stuff like this and next here is a ultra-rare live compilation which was released on Rosa Honung Rec. The songs were recorded in January & August 1985 and the rest in February 1986 at different places in Sweden. Besides the Instigators there are only Swedish bands present. A hot mix of punk & hardcore come along in a decent sound quality. If you search for some new bands then this record will inspire you. SKÅL!

1.T-Dojja - GUDIBRALLAN
2.Sommarlåten - TRÄD, GRÄS & STENAR
3.Passenger - WATABOUT
4.Vår Peggy Sue - KÖTTGROTTORNA
5.Välkommen Hem - ASTA KASK
6.Alarm - ANTICIMEX
7.Dom Styr Våra Liv - MOB 47
8.The Fix - INSTIGATORS
9.God Shave The Queen - INSTIGATORS
10.Poliser - TREDJE KÖNET
11.Rooms Of Darkness - SLAM
12.LTO - ROLANDS GOSSKÖR
13.Ditt Land Behöver Dej - CHARTA 77

BORDEAUX - L'Auto Stop 7'' 1980 + Baby 7'' 1981

This band from France has two 7Inches released and both can not be more different. Their first one sounds almost like hippie music, little tempo and really unattractive and I have long thought about posting them and when I heard 'Baby'  I was gracious because these two songs are first class '77 punk as I like it. They better have stayed this style because they make it great. Well, about the band no info but I guess they finished in the early 80's.

M&M'S - My Boyfriend's Back EP 1979

'My Boyfriend's Back' was a hit in 1963 for The Angels, an American girl group, and has also been covered in punk rock-influenced recordings by a lots of bands. So also from the American girl pop-punk band the M&M's which released in 1979 their only 7'' called 'I'm Tired'. Four Years later the German label Line-Records published the record again with one more song (My Boyfriend's Back). And nowadays this record is very rare and listed at exorbitant prices. All three goodies are beautiful sweet punk-pop with lots of charm and let's rise the sixties again.

SNIPERS - From The Tombs EP 2001

Their first EP, Blood Sucking Freaks is already a killer and the Snipers from Denmark brings with their second release, also on the grand Kick'n'Punch Records label, another Brainkiller out. And on it nine snotty garage-trashy punk rock numbers which ensures all over the line for a pleasant atmosphere. The right soundtrack when you traveling to a concert and the beer tastes again so fuckin' good. Unfortunately, far too soon disbanded but they left us with their two EP's which are little masterpieces of the Danish underground from the 21st century. Amen!

ARSENIK - Bad Girl EP 1980

From Karlshamn/Sweden came this short-lived band and they were active from 1979 - 1981 and Bad Girl is their only release on Ori Records. Arsenik were Paul Zanichelli (vox & keys), Anders Fernlund (guitar & vox), Peter Vestermark (bass), Roger Karlsson (drums) and these youngsters offers here three awesome poppy '77 punk tunes and the keys rock the songs and I love the rattling sound which fabricate the four. The band recorded some demos but only these three songs have made their way on vinyl. The title song was taken for the rare Killed By Death #51 compilation. They did a reunion gig in 2002. Enjoy one more Swedish Punkrock pearl from the good old days.

SYSTEM! - s/t LP 1982

A short-lived band from Berlin were System! and they existed from 1979-1982 and have only one record released on People's Records in 1982. Various compilations contributions, worth mentioning the Licht & Schatten album with two pieces were their first offer in the punk world. Here, we get nine pieces of solid punk rock, musically & lyrically in the major league, melodic and aggressive as I like it. In my opinion quite underrated band at this time and I think they deserve more attention. Why don't Karl Walterbach from AGR ask them to made more with the band remains a mystery. No matter, nowadays a classic and highly sought-plate that is be traded on any record fair to high prices.

THE RATS - Kids 7'' 1982

From Dunkerque came this five piece and this is their only record on Ratplay and both songs shine as mid-tempo streetpunk, lightly Oi! Influenced, and are easily digestible, the flip was used for the Killed By Death #24 compilaton. Again one of the bands which unfortunately disappeared after a record in the sinking. Definitely a good start into the weekend.

PUNKENSTEIN - Andere Zeiten - Andere Sitten 2000

A Request by Luca and I took it and refined it yesterday but I'm not happy with the rip, maybe the recordings are so, well anyway, here's the record with all Punkenstein songs they ever recorded, released via Vince Lombardy Highschool Records in an edition of 1000 copies and this is the info: Punkenstein were founded in early 1977 by Wolfgang and Fritz and first concerts were held in summer 77 at school festivals. The first line-up consisted of Wolfgang (vox), Frank (guitar), Fritz (bass) and Hans (drums). At the end of 1977 the first recordings were made (2 Track). In 1979 the entire line-up changed and Udo Lindenberg produced two songs in the Teldec studio (Pierre at that time on the guitar died unfortunately at the end of the 80s). 1981 again line-up changes and Wolfgang changed into the management and made the deal with Konnekschen who released then the first EP which today is one of the most wanted records of the early punk timeAround 1983, Punkenstein disbanded and, as usual in Hamburg, the band members reappear later in many bands. Be ready for radical rough furious German Punkrock!

HOOLIGAN - Low Position 7'' 1987

Japan has some really great Oi! bands, Cobra, Raise A Flag, Cockney Cocks, etc... They all excellent and worthy of recognition, primarily due to their unusual aggressiveness and extreme unapologetic poppiness. Hooligan proved here the Oi! spirit in an excellent way. They released this 7'' by their own and put two smashers on it, sung in native Japanese and the sound is strong and well produced. Have no further info about the band but if you like Japanese Oi! as I do, you'll love it.

ALLEYBIRDS - Habasit 7'' 1981

And again a visit in Sweden and meet the Alleybirds with their lone 7Inch on Daniel V. and it's from the Wanted-List and this is not a typical KBD record. Two great Reggae tunes here with a brilliant organ, no breathing instruments and this makes the single remarkable in my eyes and that's it for today, I'm a bit tired.

- Great Thx to Gen -

SKANSTULL - Inga Pengar Ingen Mat 7'' 1980

For almost two years this little not really punky 7Inch of the band Skanstull from Stockholm is slumbering unworked on my computer and I lose slowly the overview of all the cool stuff I have. OK, this is the bands second release on Hemliga Bolaget and they're playin' a solid rockin' roll with much fun. In total, they have made three singles and two other songs can be found on the compilation Hemliga Vågen, also from Hemliga Bolaget. Musically in top form, catchy and very nice bass running.

CARNAGE - All The Sad People 7'' 1983

From Bexhill-On-Sea, England comes this combo and they released after their Beautiful Carnage demo this 7'' at Creative Reality Records. And today I'm very lazy about writing and I'm using this short but full of content review: "This debut combines a garage recording, psychedelia, and an early U.K. punk sound with a modern anarchist stance. It has spunk and scathing cynical lyrics. Not exceptional, but raw and spirited." - Ruth Schwartz, from MRR #11. - I move back to the soccer Champions-League and leave you with this nugget.

V/A - The Rare Stuff? 1978

The Rare Stuff is a record which was to date unknown to me and I do not know a single song about it and I'm pleased to hear new fresh sounds and all sixteen ditty's are very welcome so we step in. Especially the Saints (Australia) stuff please me and I wonder why I did not find them somewhere before?? Hmmm... anyway, I guess this will change now. Also the rest (U.K.) is presentable and overall a very good piece of 33⅓ RPM. So the morning program ends and keep your peckers up!

1.River Deep Mountain High - THE SAINTS
2.Dot Dash - WIRE
3.Him Or Me - THE BANNED
4.E.C.4. - THE FLYS

V/A - Killed By Death #51 2003

Yes, this record rule and is a fuckin' document of extreme rare, wild, rough and lost Swedish punk nuggets. Every song a classic and if you can't move your ass to this sound go and listen to Heino & friends. Like Volume 1 in a limited edition of 500 copies thrown into the world and not easy to get. I have a very good exemplar and the crackers are from the original 7Inches, within all infos and with thirty-three minutes playin' time much too short. Lovely Unbearable!

1.Monarki - DE VENERIAS
2.Lev - DT & THE STOODES
3.Frösö Sjukhus 1984 - SHIT KIDS
4.Ode To Johnny Rotten - ZEPPO & THE ZEPP-ZEPPS
5.Hem Från Storan - WBT
6.Mongoloid - QUIET MEN
7.En Våldäkt I Vinyl - BIZEX-B

14.Pop I Radion - ABC 80

FLAG OF DEMOCRACY - Down With People 1990

Good Morning Friends and let us start this unknown Tuesday with extreme noises by Flag Of Democracy, a combo from Ambler, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia which formed 1982. This is their third album, in Europe via Bitzcore released with fourteen wild hardcore numbers. A bit wiki info: F.O.D. plays a mixture of melodic punk, frequently with two-part vocal lines, and noisy, dissonant hardcore, often at extreme speeds – many F.O.D. songs push past 200 beats-per-minute. The band never attained commercial success, but enjoys popularity in certain underground circuits, particularly in Europe. You should listen also to their Love Songs EP from 1984 and the band is still active and I'm finished with the fairy tale hour, perfect wake-up music or?

ATTIC - Yes I Want To 7'' 1979 + All Plans Exist EP 1980

And one more from the Wanted-List and I put both records in. Attic are a Portsmouth-based quintet founded in 1978 by Robert Bartlett (vocals), Pete Coote (guitar), Mark Bushell (drums), Steve Austin (bass) and Simon Green (guitar), Attic made their recording debut on June 15, 1979, with the Yes I Want To 7'' in 1979 released on Brain Booster Records, an independent label created by the band with another local combo, The Frames. Attic contributed two tracks on the local compilation South Specific and issued a tape-only album called Panda Music (all on Brain Booster Records), before splitting in 1981. Very nice new wave goodies in this file and you will appreciate them.

UNNATURAL AXE - Is Gonna Kick Your Ass 1978-1988

Awesome punk band from Boston and I quote you a review from an expert of the Boston punk scene: "It is 1977. A scruffy neighborhood of Boston sprouts a band of naive working-class kids who think they can shake up the world with their personal take on the punk rock experience. Not content, or possibly even competent enough, to be another Jam clone or a Clash clone, Unnatural Axe bash out their own brand of two-chord and three-chord rock, and crank it up extra high. Throughout 1978 and 1979 the Axe were playing regularly in New York, and at Cantone's, the Rat, and the Space in Boston as the opening act for the "big" UK and US new wave acts of the time. Their strangest billing must have been opening for The Police at the Rat in Kenmore Square. It is truly unfortunate that Sting squandered this "turning point" opportunity to learn the essentials of punk rock from Boston's finest. Sting's only question of the Axe vocalist: "Did you poop?" But such is the fate for the greatest moments of brilliance of our times: few people recognize it. The big club owners didn't see it and the major record labels didn't hear it. After two short years, the Axe packed it in. As a result, the Unnatural Axe discography is small, but what recordings do exist provide the documented proof that the Axe were, and shall always remain, the most important punk band Boston will ever call its own." (Monsieur Michel Bastarache)Enough words, time for music so let's go boys!

EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN - Thirsty Animal 12'' 1982

This rare 12Inch from the Einstürzende Neubauten was self-released by the band and exist in two versions with different covers. Both songs doesn't sound as commercial as their new albums and I post this because I ripped today and the last three days a few  albums and somehow their noises fits my current emotions. Anyway, to discover something new must old shit go kaput, right? Is always painful but mankind will survive so fuck each other remorseless. Don't worry, I like cooking...

DELTA KOPINSKI - Skandal EP 1997

Let's get weird and weird and confused are exact my feelings now but I don't want you tell more because it's nothing new and it would be fuckin' boring I think. Anyway, let's join this band, another side-project of EA80 frontman Junge called Delta Kopinski. Fat bass, driving organ, no guitars, sung by a minor girl, sometimes chaotic & doomy, pure punk rock. This record was strictly limited (300 copies) and released via Junges label Musikzimmer & it got me a lot of toil and sweat to snatch a copy. Highly recommended! A real unicum and for real hardcore junkies like me :)

ALIEN BEAT - Ge Mej Mer 7'' 1980

Here's the rare debut record by this great Swedish PowerPop band Alien Beat on Mandarine Records. Their only full length album Akrobat is a blast and when I look at the downloads you find that too. Alien Beat's sound is a fantastic mix of powerpop with a fat punk pulse. As is evident in the title song, very wild fast playin' and pretty crazy voices, a brilliant number. The b-side is pure powerpop, accompanied with piano and a strong melody, goes immediately in, stays there and you could sing it all day; a classic earworm. Damn good record!!!!

THE KELPIES - Television 2003

Final a late evening post and this belongs to one of my favorite bands from Sydney, The Kelpies and this release from Head Miles Records is an awesome one and features twenty-four tracks, their entire recorded output, including their Aberrant and Phantom Records releases: the tracks are taken from three separate recording sessions from 1981 and 1982. Tracks 1-13 were recorded onto cassette in the bands rehearsal space underneath 51 Stanley Street, East Sydney in 1981, tracks 14-21 recorded to 8 track Now Studios, Sydney 1981, tracks 22-24 were from a 24 track session in 1982 for a Phantom records single. This 24-song disc compiles all that's gone before and adds another tune, the studio version of the post-punk sounding "How Can I Tell You". The first thing that must be said is that the Kelpies were very much a vehicle for the songwriting of Mark Easton, an under-appreciated talent if there ever was one. He has a hand in each tune (except for "Change", which was co-written by singer Jim Atkins and Danny Rumour, then of Sekret Sekret and now with the Cruel Sea). The themes are the obvious punk ones of boredom, alcoholism, serial killers but there's a degree of lyrical sophistication that lifts the songs above the norm. Don't know where I got all the infos but thx and let the Kelpies rule.

NO HORIZON - s/t 12'' 1980

One more day until the long weekend comes and I look forward to it like a little child, why? Well, this week was so strenuous up and the early getting up is one of the things I do not really like at all. Ok, now a beer, expect visit and until then this short-lived band from Kiel/Northern Germany with this 12'' and their only (unfortunately) release on the legendary Hamburg Punk label Konnekschen Records. Sung in german & english and the music is quite nice: aggressive, snotty & cool rock'n'roll, also the ballad is very successful. A great rare KBD record!

DER RIß - They All Do....IMAGE 1985

The only cuts of this German band from the Ruhr area which appeared at Wishbone Records in beautiful white vinyl and the album was recorded and mixed on Feb/March '85 at Studiowahn, Bochum. On it eight great ass-kickin' punk trashers with an incredible amount of power. As far as I know some members are very active in the German thrash metal scene, Living Death or Mekong Delta are one of it, may you should know these bands and I remember, I had two records but I sold it. Unfortunately Der Riß was a unique side project and the only mini-album they released. Well, all songs are short (total playing time less than fifteen minutes), what I appreciate and they will turn your ears and limbs to jelly if you let them. No Question, a duty download and Aloha from Hell!

V/A - A Warped Sense Of Human 1981

This hot compilation is exact the stuff I really like and I think I certainly never come in touch with this record, so this was a request and I'm pleased. The hard facts: released on Peartree Records with seven bands, completely unknown to me, with two songs each. Varied sound, punk, wave, synth and alternative and the whole stuff is like a ripe apple. I guess only the islanders are capable of such sounds in the early 80s. Well, it's early in the morning, my first coffee is drunk and I have still two hours left to find my daily form. Enjoy the record whatever you do now.

1.Jacob's Room - DANCING COUNTERPARTS
2.Fun City - OFFBEAT
3.Victim Of The Bomb - ETHNIK MINORITY
4.So-So - N.A. POP 2000
5.All I Want To Do - TICKETZ
6.Hang Over You - KINGSIZE KEEN & HIS ROCKIN' MACHINE

STRAIGHT EIGHT - Shuffle'N'Cut 1980

Here's now a great album by this awesome band from London and their music is quite brilliant. On this release are twelve powerpop gems which kicks the blues out of every depressive mind. Info from their MySpace site says: "Formed in early 1976, the band after gigging the UK pub rock circuit soon went on to being discovered and signed by Pete Townshend of WHO fame. He released the first album 'No Noise From Here' on his EEL PIE record label. Subsequently the band got picked up by Transatlantic Records (UK) and RCA in the States. Releasing 'Shuffle'N'Cut and then their 3rd album 'Straight To The Heart' in 1982. Unfortunately just as the band were due to begin a World Tour supporting The Who, drummer Keith Moon died and the rest is history. Line-up was Rick Cassman, Boot Kingsman, Steve Cherry and Rod Berriedale-Johnson. After a massive departure from the UK music scene, the band are busy arranging a best of compliation CD. Lead vocalist and main songwriter Rick Cassman has also been busy playing and producing in The Deputies and has also been involved with Twickenham's Club Acoustica. The Band recently got back together for a few numbers at Club Acoustica and enjoyed it so much they are planning an official reunion gig sometime in 2010 to celebrate their 30th aniversary!!" Great Band, Great Stuff, Great Record!!

- Huge Thx to Fredrik -

BRIARD - Miss World 1983

Briard were formed in 1976 and released a couple of 7''s in the late 70's & they were the first band who released a punk single in Finland and after the 4th Rockin' On The Beach 7'' on Love Records they soon after recording split up. In 1983 the original line-up made a brief return, as they recorded their debut album Miss World in Finnvox Studios. And the result are thirteen crashing Punk'n'Roll numbers with english lyrics and all tunes kicks hard ass. The singer I really like him because it reminds me a lot of whiskey drinking, hahaha.. After that, Briard's story was over for good. Then Pete Malmi went solo, Sidi Vainio played in Päät, Shadowplay and Seitsemäs Maailma (and later concentrating on academic studies), Andy McCoy and Nasty Suicide made an international career in Hanoi Rocks.

HASSISEN KONE - s/t 7'' 1980

Back with a quick post because I'm in a hurry and must get my train in twenty minutes. Hassisen Kone with their second 7Inch on Hilse-Levyt and the a-side is a real kbd smasher while the flip is a nice cowboy groove rhythm one, sounds a bit harder as the first album Täältä Tullaan Venäjä on Poko Records. Anyway, a solid record from Finland and no 1-2-3-4 Ramones copy. Have a nice weekend all together!

V/A - Bloodstains Across Belgium 1997

Not really a wish but I am fond of this post especially because the sound booms now out of my boxes and I swing my pretty ass to thatNumber one of the bloody Belgium section with sixteen rare goodies and you will find a few of the original 7Inches in this Blog or over at kbdrecords. A small country with a great Punkscene and lots of cool bands which release a lot of good records and I like the rough sound and the offensive words, very very pleasant - So far so good, now I rip a record and come back soon.

1.Fascist Cops - THE KIDS
2.Bloody Belgium - PIGZ
3.The Modern Dance - THE DEFINITIVOS
4.Hot Love - ONION DOLLS
5.Alles Moet Kapot - DE JEUGD VAN TEGENWOORDIG

DIE B1 - Leisetreter Folterer 1982

Today this rare record of a punk band from Essen called Die B1, their only album released by the band itself. First thank you to the people who wanted this so I have once again come to listen to these really good songs, has been sleeping since ages on my computer. This is not my rip so excuse the bad rip and the bad pics. I think when I see the vinyl somewhere I take it and rip it again. Musically B1 convince with a dirty garage wave punk sound plus meaningful lyrics and can join seamlessly in the league other well-known German bands from this time, really a sweetie... enjoy!

PÖBEL MÖBEL - Let Sleepin' Dogs Lie 12'' 1987

We stay in Scandinavia and meet Pöbel Möbel from Jönköping and I'm not sure but I post their first record, a split with Anti-Hund Mina on Pissed Records, on my old Blog (Egal, move over to MusicNotNoize for a listen) but this mini-album is totally new to me. This is their last one, released via Blueberry Records and they give us seven powerful, not really spectacular, melodic numbers which makes the sun shine but that's it. Sometimes I wonder about the offers of some sellers for a record and I think to myself, have they a roof damage? Well, it's at each itself how much cash give for a platte its worth but I find it partly puke...shit, I digress... well, this 12'' is not hard stuff rockin' but new in Blogland and I'm content with these seven songs. And tomorrow I want to see that I fulfill some requests, unfortunately I forgot many, use the Babbelstub left, Cheers!

- Special Thx to Fredrik -

ELECTRIC DEADS - Anti-Sex EP 1982

This is not really new in Blogland but now I have the desire to hear this fuckin' great Danish combo: The Electric Deads, a four piece hardcore punk band from Espergærde, Fredensborg and Humlebæk, they formed in 1981 by Nils (bass), Kevin (guitar + vocal), Bibi (vocal) and Michael (drums) and they released three awesome 7inches and all are damn cool. This is, I think, their second one on Electro Static Records and Bibi's voice is of course outstanding to the fast sound. No wonder they are a must contribute on the Bloodstains Across Denmark compilation. Small country, unforgettable music.

THE IGNERENTS - Radio Interference 7'' 1979

The Ignerents were formed in 1977 in Whitstable, Kent, by brothers Chris and Steve Harris, joined by neighbour Mark Leighton on guitar, vocalist Kevin Holmes (later replaced by Ben Challis) and drummer Stan 'Gretsch' Littlejohn. The band were an important part of the local punk scene in the late seventies in Kent alongside bands like Wild Billy Childish's Pop Rivets, Naughty Thoughts and the Rivals. Like others they identified with Punk if not actually playing Punk. Having demoed for Step Forward records with the excellent 'Uganda Calling' the band released their debut 7'' in 1979 (Radio Interference) on Ace Records and then re-released it on their own label. The band finally evolved into a new band, The Beekeepers, which featured Nick Appleton on guitar alongside Steve and with Chris, Ben and Stan, and then after Stan died, Russell Lax on drums. The Beekeepers released one 7'' called Platform 5 in 1981. On the live circuit the Ignerents were active from 1977-1981 with infrequent gigs that included the Marquee Club (with Chelsea) and the Vortex in London (with Wayne County & The Electric Chairs) and they supported bands like 999 and The Only Ones. So enjoy this little pearl of early UK punk stuff and give the band your full attention. (source: punk77)

D.O.A. - The Menace Lives 7'' 1982

Yet a rare record which is an unoffical one on Sudden Death Records and I don't think you need no further words for D.O.A., my favourite canadian punk band which exist since 1980 and they're still active. They celebrate excellent punk rock and their music is still even after thirty years rough and first league. Here two killer outtakes which did not make it on the first album Something Better Change, my guess. Last year I think or was ist 2015, I don't know it excatly, I finally saw them live and it was a fuckin' great experience. I have a few classics from Shithead & Co. which I would like to post soon if I'm not become a victim of a heart attack.

ABURADAKO - s/t EP 1983

Let's start February with a rare flexi from Aburadako, a long-running Japanese psychedelic Punk group, their name means "Greasy Octopus", which formed 1983. They began as a punk-hardcore band before moving in more avant-garde directions. They have released eight albums to date. A notable oddity is that none of Aburadako's albums have titles and are only distinguished by their packages. This is their first record on ADK Records with six weird typical smasher or simply said: This is Japan, not Boston!
