MASSAPPEAL - Nobody Likes A Thinker 1986

Cool Hardcore Brett by Massappeal, formed in 1985 around core members, Brett Curotta (guitar) and Randy Reimann (vocals) with various floating rhythm sections, Massappeal forged an intense sound that relied as much on the early eighties hardcore sound. Debut album on Waterfront Records and in this file ten loud Bastards! Puhh, I'm so tired... Easter was extreme but fortunately it is Champions League soon.

TUNNELANGST - 180 BPM [Tape] 1997

Here's a fine tape from Herborn's Tunnelangst (which means "Fear Of Tunnels") and I remember them very well because the manager is a good friend of mine and singer Heini is a real charmin' man, this also applies to the whole band. I organized a gig together with Serene Fall in September 1998 and this evening's still remembered to this day. Sorry for delete the live recordings, always annoys me when I think back. Tunnelangst play punk in the classic british style of the early 80's, leather jackets, lots of alcohol, iros, and songs against all the wrongs of the world. Oh yeah, their scary looking singer (Heini had a iro as big as the fair tower) is also the model for the "Knuddelpunk 2" picture record. They were present on both "Sieger Sehen Anders Aus" compilations and in 1997 they released their full length CD on United Kids Records called "Gepflegte Szene" with fifteen heart attacks. Shortly after the band broke up due to musical differences, a few members founded the Rotten Bastards (Hardcore pur!) to put their musical outpourings into your bloody ears. This tape here contains both demos which they recorded 1996 or 1997 and has eight offensive punk trashers in German/English. Haut Rein!

INSTIGATORS - Shockgun 1988

Hell Yeah, another saugute record I love to hear is the third album of the Instigators and I have the German one which was released via Weird System (unfortunately without insert) and they say with a better cover, absolutely true and has a bonus song opposite the original on Positive RecordsTwelve melodic guitar-heavy punkrock pearls as they can only be played by this band. A pleasure this music and that's why I'm a damn fuckin' punkrocker! How can you sit still and accept all the radio shit? The mendacious business of artificially diced arbots, which is all about money, the fake music industry who tell you what to hear, all these hypocritical bastards... the society needs people like us because we show them how stupid they are and we are many (no idea why I leave now this small puke but it just pisses me on). Well, anyway... I recommend you to get their first album Nobody Listens Anymore and find other compilation tracks by using the search function at the top left.

I.A.F. & RÄHÄKKÄ - Split EP 2003

Again further with more extreme music, this time with two absolute brilliant bands and I love this awesome record. AARRGGHHHHHH, I'm fuckin' angry!!!! OK, first side is awesome killer trash hardcore from Barcelona from a band called I.A.F. (Ideal Anti Fascista) and if you have heard this you wonder if the B-side hardly beat this. Driving played hardcore volume with tempos and they're really pissed. I don't understand a fucking word so I think music like this speaks for itself (don't worry there's a lyric sheet inside) and I love this aggression and anger underlaid with a terrible sound, these guys are damn good. The same applies to Rähäkkä, a scandi-thrash-hardcore-crust band, extremely drunk but still political. The band was formed in the mid-90's in Tampere, Finland, featuring members from such legendary bands as Kaaos, Bastards and Kohu-63. The band is now back from a hiatus as long as three and a half years and is more fucked up than ever before, doing shows every once in a while and about to record some new material in the very near future.

LEATHERFACE - Edward's/Birmingham 31.3.1991

I'm sure a lot of you know the last Leatherface album which is called 'Viva La Arthouse' and it's again a delicious release. Recorded live in Melbourne, nineteen tracks in an awesome sound quality. And I sit here & listening to this album again & again. I love Leatherface and they accompanied me for almost twenty years. Like the 'Live In Oslo' album with this release you can do nothing wrong, you’d better hurry up and get a copy. Leatherface live shows have become the stuff of legend, if you’ve ever been lucky enough to caught them live you’ll have witnessed the pre-gig excitement, the trepidation of the emotional possibilities, the rollercoaster ride of each song and the overall full on powerhouse brutality of melodic punk rock. Here is another bootleg from my hard drive and this post is the proof that you can be creative when you listen at punk rock. Now I dig out this treasure with thirteen songs in a consistently acceptable sound quality. Get this for free and buy their new album - it's a must have and worth every cent! CHEERS!

THE STRIKE - Oi! Collection 2004

This is a damn cool release from a damn cool band. The Strike never recorded an album and on this collection are songs from the Split Skin's & Punks 2 with The Betrayed, three demo cuts and all their official bastards. Unbelievable that their material was released so late because The Strike were founded in the late 70's near Inverness. Their first vinyl appearance were two songs on the Strength Thru Oi! compilation, Gang Warfare and Skinhead, both fucking good. Other compilations goodies followed but for an own album has it as I said never be enough, for whatever reason. There is an informative biography inside by Fergus (singer) so I don't wanna tell you. Musically fourteen shiny Oi! smasher with heart & power!

V/A - The End Was At Hand [Special] 2012

This nice comp was created by my Austrian mate Reinhard (at that time for the legendary, much-loved WildDevilRules blog). Cause was the general hysteria the world would end in 2013, according to the Mayas and well, it's doomsday and I wonder why all these spinners in poor hippie clothes such an uprising practice. The world goes down slowly and not otherwise. I must confess, I did not much notice of a new Apocalypse and honestly I don't give a shit. I demand doomsday as a public holiday where we all not must work. Maybe the Mayas sacrificed more people that day as usual. Well fuck it, the masses needs always some shit where they can hold on to, funny that it's always at the turn of the year, has almost become a tradition. Idiots!!! Not only this was the occasion for my Austrian friend Reinhard to create this self-made compilation here but also to put his favorite songs in a splendid selection on a CD, adorned with a glossy cover. And the result is great, brilliant punkrock from all corners of the world in beautiful order. Great Stuff!! A few words from Mr. Reinhard to the CD:

"Seems that armageddon didn't happen yet - so what shall we do now?? ;-) To celebrate this suprising fact I've compiled a sampler with songs I really like - hopefully you'll like them too. So this one's for you survivors - have fun & all the best! ...and of course: any comments are highly appreciated!"

I hope you enjoy this exclusive gem and may you create your own sampler at the next pay raise, volcanic eruption, child birth, flood, castration, lung cancer, be in love and don't forget: the next end of the world comes certainly....

PANKRTI - Dolgcajt 1980

Debut album by this great band from Ljubljana which were formed in 1977. Pankrti (The Bastards) were known for provocative and politically engaged songs and billed themselves "The First Punk Band Behind The Iron Curtain" (Look at it this way) - They are one of the most important former Yugoslav Punk groups and one of the first punk rock bands ever formed in a communist country (really?). After five albums the band ceased to exist at the end of 1987. In 2007 the band get reunited. Get their 7inch Namesto Tebe too. Pankrti rocks modestly. So, its Saturday and its Soccer time.

V/A - Pultti EP 1982

This little juwel was a self-released one and discogs says Pultti was a fanzine made by Pexi, the singer of Maho Neitsyt and probably 118 copies were pressed but I'm not sure. Fact is this one is a very rare one and the music here is all quite good. Starts with the classic Appendix from Pori and I think you know them well because they had two albums released in the 80s, nice mid-tempo punk at its finest. Maho Neitsyt from Kuusankoski with a short dirty goodie, always nice this pinched voice. They released a lot of 7inches through the 80s and essential is a compilation called "Näinkö Viina Vaikuttaa?" with all their recordings, it's sure a bootleg, don't know when this came out. From Etuala exists only this song here, maybe it's a side-project from some of this band here, no idea, sure the song kicks enormous. Behind Antikeho stuck no other than the Bastards, the hardcore kings, everyone knows. More Antikeho you can find on the great "Russia Bombs Finland" compilation on Propaganda Records. Nato is another unknown band, maybe from Helsinki and here with the longest track, 3 minutes. Cool Punk'N'Roll sound with snotty guitars and a fine solo. They're ditto on the "Russia" comp. and a few other bootlegs. Appendix close this record with a Killer one. Resume: Successful record, no failure, nice artwork, Pogo guaranteed!

1.Ei Raha Oo Mun Valuuttaa - APPENDIX
2.Ne Ei Myyneet Mulle Viinaa - MAHO NEITSYT
3.Päästä Vetää - ETUALA
4.R.A.Y - ANTIKEHO
5.Isänmaa Vituttaa - NATO
6.Kytän Unelma - APPENDIX

JACK & THE RIPPERS - A Wonderful Piece Of Punk Rock 1997

Jack & The Rippers were one of the first punk bands in Switzerland, based in Geneva, which has at that time an equally vibrant punk scene such as Zurich. Most important members of the band were the brothers John (vocals) and Francois (guitar) Seilern, Englishman with Austrian blood which that occurs from the work of their parents were aground in Switzerland. Their mischief drove the Rippers although only for about 8 months (October 77 - June 78), and therefore the release of their first single experienced no longer as a band. Musically the band can be describe as brilliant power punk with strong English strike on the right track. Their only 7inch was released 1979 on Another Swiss Label in a small edition, 500 copies or so, and is for me one of the best swiss punk records all the time, (the original 7” single is now very hard to find.) 'No Desire' is a hymn, a short ecstasy with great lyrics. I can use the song for any compilation, totally addictive stuff! They recorded a 2nd 7inch 'Don't Pretend' but it was never released, first 2003 from Fan Club Company in limited edition of 500 published. Loud, Proud & Punk Records recognized the genius of this band and released this slab with all their early recordings, 2004 Dirty Faces comes with another compilation with two more songs. After the end of the band the Seilern brothers founded relatively quickly a new band with their bassist Babine and two members of another Geneva punk band (The Bastards) called the Zero Heroes. The sound was almost as significant to the English power pop with influences of ska elements, they released two albums. So enjoy this wonderful piece of punk rock!!!!

V/A - Pogo Punks 1999

Actually I didn't post a sampler again because the most songs on this are otherwise available in Blogland and I thought to myself it's a waste of time to post lots of double cuts but this unoffical release leaves me no choice. Excellent song selection with massive early original Swiss Punk from 1977 - 1982. I have found that many Swiss punk records are available again today at fair prices, but you have to be fast. Here we have nine complete 7inches (except Bellevue) and this goes out to the swiss maniac who falls from the chair and lobotomized his neighbors.

2.Mental Disaster - REBELS
3.I Feel Like A Tram - JACK & THE RIPPERS
4.Cry For Fame - DIETER MEIER
5.Dein Freund - BELLEVUE

PANKRTI - Namesto Tebe EP 1981

Pankrti (The Bastards in Slovene) were a punk rock band from Ljubljana, Slovenia, active in the late 70's and during the 80's. The band started playing in fall of 1977, practicing in the basement of Kodeljevo's music school, and held the first concert at Moste High School. Initially they played covers of established punk bands including the Sex Pistols, The Clash and New York Dolls. Some of their first songs that became popular were "Za Zelezno Zaveso" (Behind The Iron Curtain), "Anarhist" (Anarchist) and "Lublana Je Bulana" (Ljubljana is Sick). They were included in the Novi Punk Val compilation album. They released their first album Dolgcajt (Boredom) in 1980 and gained the status of a cult band all over former Yugoslavia. - This EP is an awesome four track killer (two slow & two fast numbers) with rough & dirty melodies and is made to play fuckin' loud.....you got me?
