V/A - Brainkiller 1999

Pooh...what a soccer match against Darmstadt but in the end a deserved victory and important three points against relegation. - Last post today brings us to the States and this compltaion is a further nugget of excellent kbd stuff. Smashers from rare 7Inches which move my ass and this piece is one of my favourite record. All infos inside, perfect artwork (very colorful) and no failure. So I would do it as well. At the end of the record the underdogs from Spain there, perhaps a tribute to the Oi! 4 album. So let's kill brains with Lost Punk Hits From The Americas 1977-1982. V/A - Killed By Death #9 1995

"All American Punk, No Foreign Junk" on Volume #9 and here we found more obscurities and even more rare punkrock from the good old days and what shall I write more about this awesome compilation? One great song hunts another and all tracks are Killers!! 2000 pressed on black vinyl with orange and red labels. Due to a "printing problem," about 200 copies have tan labels with red ink. The repress (of 1000) has a blue and black cover (as opposed to the white and black cover of the first pressing). All Killed By Death or Bloodstains compilations and bands have pushed open the door for a new wave of weirdos, because these types of releases will flourish the CD age. KBD would never go boring and I will never stop listening to it.

1.Break My Face - TAPEWORM
2.Blues For An Insurance Salesman - TAPEWORM
3.Police State - CRAP DETECTORS
4.Big Doings - CORPSICLES
5.I Wanna Kill My Mom - THE PANICS

7.You're Not Gonna Get It - EPICYCLE

V/A - Killed By Death #7 1993

Volume 7 scouring the globe to distant countrys and starts in the United States, a short visit to Canada and a longer stay in good old Europe. Eighteen bands, eighteen rare punk rock nuggets is called the baggage and it would be a significant loss to lose some on the road. So beware of luggage thieves and locker tricksters. Tickets are at a reasonable price just a click away (you have to be quick). And now, enjoy a pleasant journey and come back soon. Thanks for your attention. Ende!

V/A - British Underground 1977-1982

Subtitled as the Best of the UK Punk New Wave. Well, this lies in the eye of the beholder or? Anyway, this small flame is the first Volume of this Mini-Serie and this unofficial release was comin' out on Chaos Wrecords in 1982 and it's full with a decent mix of both music styles. I realize there are a lot of UK comps and this is of course for me great, I love the early UK sound and I'm always fascinate when I get a copy of a record which is brand new, even when I know the songs. Minus points for the loveless design, no inserts, no info. So check the following orange button for details. Was bleibt?, a decent platte with cool and varied stuff. But € 50,- I wouldn't pay for. Have fun with this, Aloha!!

1.Instant Tunes - XTC
2.Cold Beat - THE SOUND

V/A - Killed By Death #2 1989

From my former Blog one more compilation of tracks from extremely rare punk records (1977-1982). First pressing was limited to 700 copies and pressed on black vinyl with yellow and black labels. Killed By Death, a series of bootleg compilations showcasing some of the rarest punk rock to date, keeps this tradition alive. KBD wasn't the only compilation series to take on limited-run and out of print punk, but it had the greatest impact, and continues to be produced today. There's a mostly secret and sordid history behind these compilations; many were produced illegally, and as such, lack contact information. With a very few clues, I set out to explore this bizarre world of "grey-market" punk rock releases. So here comes Volume 2 and a truly great record. One great song after another. If you had to get just one Killed By Death record, you can really take almost every record in my opinion. A classic in far too many ways to even take a stab at here. Still one of the best comps ever. Reissue on red vinyl, same tracks as the original. So KBD never grew out of being KBD, and I will never grow out of listening to it.

1.Bummer Bitch - FREESTONE
2.I Hate Tourists - THE FREEZE
3.Son Of Sam - CHAIN GANG
4.Disgusting - THE MAD
5.True Life - MACHINES

V/A - Killed By Death #8½ 1995

After such classic compilations is absent of course a record from the most famous series and this volume has "All American Punk, No Foreign Junk" on it. Excellent song selection, bringing to light some previously unknown (and now ridiculously expensive) records. First pressing with white cover, second in blue. A few bands can be find on other comps. Full with rare stuff from Belgium and France and you know what explosive material comes from there. The song selection is quite good, Pogo is guaranteed. V/A - Killed By Death #26 1996

You know with a KBD Sampler you can't do nothing wrong, right? # 26 is a collectionn of early canadian punk from 1977 - 80. Unfortunately, this is one of the harder KBD's to find. It's also one of the best! Much of what is on here is already well known. D.O.A. (two live cuts), The Action & Viletones along with one Forgotten Rebels (Angry) are pretty. Even with the three Smash The State volumes covering a lot of the lesser known bands, a better effort than this could have been put forth. Once more a fine limited (1000 copies) Compilation from the series which I highly appreciate. Brand new and also great Bloodstains Across Canada with more rare Canada stuff.

1.Nazi Training Camp - D.O.A.
2.TV's On The Blink - THE ACTION
3.Danger Boy - THE VILETONES
4.Backdoor To Hell - THE VILETONES
5.To Have Some Fun - THE UGLY
6.Shoeshine Boy - THE CURSE
7.Killer Bees - THE CURSE
8.Angry - FORGOTTEN REBELS

V/A - Tepid Spit Artists/Rare Trax Vol.9 1988

I leave April with this bootleg tape from Down Under which I bought in the 80s from any mailorder when I remember right. At that time I'm not an insider of Australian Punk stuff and  that's why I get this tape for a low price. Now most of the songs are still available and on classic compilations (Flowers From The Dustbin, Bloodstains Across Australia, Not So Humdrum, etc...) scattered but a few cuts are still rare and the records nowadays very hard to get. I think the song selection here is quite good and the work has been worth in any case. This is a C-60 tape in an acceptable sound quality and the last post for today. I wish a sunny long weekend.

1.More Suicide Please - THOUGHT CRIMINALS
2.No Complaints - LEFTOVERS
3.Task Force - RAZAR

V/A - Killed By 7Inch #9 EP 2000

The next various EP is a bootleg, limited to 400 copies on thick black vinyl, plain white labels. One band from the U.K., the others from the States. And as we are used to it by the 12inch compilations bless us this little piece of vinyl just as with rare and superb punk goodies. I must say the 7inches of the 'Killed By Death' series are very hard to find and I'm glad I have a few, so search this Blog for it. Maybe sometimes comes the LP with all singles from # 6 - # 10 out as it did with the first five volumes which you can snatch here. You know with a record like this you can't go wrong, all four songs damn good and my favourite here is The Mel's cut. Detailed info in the file and on the back cover. It's the first post for today and it's early in the morning, first get bread and then again clothes wash. Enjoy the weekend and this little juwel.

1.Can't Understand - ROSES ARE RED
2.Modest Living - THE MEL
3.I Could Puke - WHITE BOY
4.Social Sacrifice - THE MARTYRS
