AUSWEIS - Murnaü 1984

A restless night lies behind me and after I already ripped another record now back with rare medicine. From time to time I repost records of unfortunately inactive blogs and it's really bad that many are dead. Today one from my favorite blog and a dear friend... here are his words: "Very first release of this French band. Ausweis play great postpunk influenced by Killing Joke. The quite short and more uptempo 'Gangsters United' show their punk roots. Ausweis stirred some interest in the UK as the following records were released on UK labels: the 'Victimes' 12" on Chainsaw (label of Living In Texas) and 'Jours De Haine' 12" is the first release on Ediesta Records. You can also watch some TV appearances on their MySpace page. There is a discography CD in the works but that's already more than a year I guess. I hope it will be issued as their records are scarce and/or pricey these days. This mini-album was released on cult label L'Invitation Au Suicide and contains a lyric sheet small poster and a big poster" (Curious Guy, phoenixhairpins). Ausweis are on numerous compilations and I would be glad if somebody send me the France Profonde Vol 2 slab.

ANGRY RED PLANET - Little Pigs, Little Pigs 1987

Weekend's near and we welcome it with Angry Red Planet, a three piece + formed in Detroit in 1982 and the first slab was the self-released a EP called Too Much Knowledge Can Be Dangerous in 1983. Gawker's Paradise was the followup four song EP which was released by Touch And Go Records in 1985. After that followed Little Pigs, Little Pigs on their own Angry Red Records in 1987 and their last album Give 'Em Enough Dope...., again on Angry Red Records in 1989. During the 80's they played regularly in the Detroit area, as well as touring throughout the rest of the country. During its existence might have gotten more attention in Europe than in the U.S.A. Not only was the first album licensed in Germany in 1987 (“Little Pigs, Little Pigs” – but without the elusive silk screened cover the original pressing has) – German label Double A Records also released a so-so live album with recordings of the bands highly enjoyable 1988 Euro Tour. Like so many bands, Angry Red Planet had developed a rather twisted, noisy sound by the end of the 80s, when rock music (seemed) dead and on the floor. Give this two or three listens and you will start singing along, guaranteed. It’s about time somebody does this band minimal justice and re-releases the discography. I'm not sure where I found these wonderful words but they take over my useless ones, I heard them first on the brilliant Going Nowhere Slow and 10 Meter Ohne Kopf compliations and their music is quirky, innovative, original hardcore-punk… Just listen!

THE DAMNED - Machine Gun Etiquette 1979

I can save words to the next band, everyone knows them and everyone loves them and everyone hates them. Machine Gun Etiquette is the third album by the greatest surviving British punk band: The Damned and was the group's first since reforming with a new lineup of Dave Vanian (vocals), Captain Sensible (lead guitar), Rat Scabies (drums) and Algy Ward (bass) and the band became more experimental; without original guitarist Brian James, the songwriting was more democratic, resulting in a blend of punk, psychedelic rock and pop styles. Twelve awesome powerful tracks which belong to their best. A true Classic!!

NOISE - Små Röda, Lätta Regndroppar 1981

Only release by Swedens Noise on Svenska Popfabriken with ten multi-faceted spring songs. The usual suspects are: Kristian (vocals), Fredrik (guitars), Jan (bass), Allan (drums) and Mats (klaviatur) and previously two 7Inches appeared on Klooak, nowadays damn rare of course, plus two songs on the nice Svensk Pop compilation from 1979. I think somebody was looking for this slab and I totally forgot it. Well, who can wait is often rewarded. The lifespan of the band was probably short and historic accents they haven't left much into the punk world execpt three excellent unknown pieces with decent music on itNow quickly back to bed and a little doze. In three hours the duty screams!

- Great Thx to Donot -

MASSAPPEAL - Nobody Likes A Thinker 1986

Cool Hardcore Brett by Massappeal, formed in 1985 around core members, Brett Curotta (guitar) and Randy Reimann (vocals) with various floating rhythm sections, Massappeal forged an intense sound that relied as much on the early eighties hardcore sound. Debut album on Waterfront Records and in this file ten loud Bastards! Puhh, I'm so tired... Easter was extreme but fortunately it is Champions League soon.

BELLEVUE - Discography 2011

During the late 70's Andreas Hofer (guitars) & Jürg Grob (bass) began to meet for evening sessions of noise at former "venues" such as defunct bomb shelters and parking lots. These nights brought together a wide range of very unique and diverse characters (many many others were also very actively involved). When vocalist Peter Hefti joined in 1980, the name Bellevue was adopted. After a handful of shows Jean Bhend (drums) left and was replaced by Major Many from the Rebels. The band consisted of former art-school students, looking for a new direction and for those involved who weren't, Bellevue was a reaction to the stereotypical, chart-oriented music that was dominating the mainstream of that time. Bellevue sang in German and English, lyrically dealing with issues such as government surveillance, the army, drugs & genetic engineering. Besides a handful of shows across Germany, they predominantly played in their home city of Zurich with the odd out-of-town performance every so often. It all unfortunately came to an end in 1983 after the release of their second single "Soldatenlied".

So here is now this beautiful piece of punkrock outta Switzerland! Absolutly beautifully packaged collection of the two 7"s of this essential SwissPunk band, some never before released studio songs from the period plus three remastered but still raw live songs. Killer-Punkrock-record with thirteen magic midtempo-punk-tracks with mostly German lyrics. Edition of 500 copies only, includes an awesome insert with band-story and images of old concert-posters.

Und jetzt wieder ein weiterer selbstgemachter sampler mit reichlich rarem deutschen PUNK Zeugs der sich sehen lassen kann, emotional & wütend, direkt aus dem Herz gehaun. Good Morning Maniacs!, I hope you have a day off today and enjoy it with good weather. First, I need cigarettes so I'm going to get some... wait... back with Jever and now Mr. Pennsylvania Punk legend Billy Synth with the Turn Ups and their second album on Tragik Records and we listen to thirteen great synth-punk smashers and I wonder why they were not taken for the essential great fucking Killed By Synth compilation, maybe too snotty. Anyway... Billy (vocals + synths), Demo (bass), Stevinyl (guitars) and Joe (drums) have recorded a cool album that kicks and if you wanna know more read an interview on Attacking The BeatStay tuned for more nuggets but next I want to rip another record.

GUILTY RAZORS - Guilty! 2006

A decent re-release is the next album with original recordings from the late 70's. The Guilty Razors had a singular history. During the 1970s, marked in Paris by the many manifestations of leftist movements, five young musicians influenced from the late 60s atmosphere by their favorite groups (Stooges, Kinks or Velvet Underground) decide to form a rock group. A live band especially, which expresses their rage through a wild rock and uncompromising. So naturally they just incorporate the emerging punk scene in Paris next to Metal Urbain and Asphalt Jungle. They play @ the Gibus in the first part of Jam (not without daring to take on the English Rickenbacker stars!) and also provide the latest delivery punk festival at Olympia in 1978 before the public destroys dozens of chairs. But their working-class reputation and bad boys expertly maintained by their manager Alexis Quinlin very influential character of the rock scene, will soon catch up. In March 1978, following their many escapades, the Polydor label terminates the contract, makes removing the trays 5000 copies of their first EP called 'I Don't Wanna Be A Rich', which eventually almost all pestle. Only a hundred records sent to the press escape destruction. The Guilty Razors still continue to record other tracks including some at a chaotic time in Madrid. The group finally separates early 1979. Their songs will be released on LP/CD in 2006, thx to Seventeen Records. A track appears on the compilation KBD #7 and the complete 7Inch is banned on KBD #77 (click the orange letters above) together with more essential rare goodies.

STILMORD - Det Spelar Ingen Roll Rock'N'Roll 7'' 1982

Released on Polar Records in 1982 and we have two catchy pop-punk tunes. A short bio I found: "Stilmord was a Swedish power-pop band formed in Täby near Stockholm in the early 80s. They got their band name from the album Talmannen by the Swedish comedian Kalle Sändare, who was well known for recording his telephone jokes with unknown people. On this album he mentioned the name Armand Stilmord (Armand Stylemurder), and the group liked it so much that they took it as their own name. Stilmord got their recording contract when they were competing in a rock contest at the club Underground in Stockholm with the artists Yngwie Malmsteen and Orup. The first single "Det Spelar Ingen Roll Rock'N'Roll" was a hit and it even was used as a jingle for the Swedish rock radio show Eldorado. Later the same year, 1982, Stilmord released a second single "Förbjuden Kärlek" for the same label. After this they changed record labels to Gazell and at the same time changed their name to Rabalder. The third single release "Dina Ögon" was no success and sold only seventeen copies. They continued as a band for a year longer but changed style to funk music inspired by Level 42." Nice little gem!
