COSMIC PSYCHOS - s/t LP 1987

Brilliant debut record by the Cosmic Psychos on Mr. Spaceman records and I can bite my ass because I sell this album, GRRR. Well, shit happens. I have a little hangover, yesterday I had a fun evening with an enormous amount of Gin Tonic and sometimes I pour the stuff in me like water, haha... you only live once, right? - The Cosmics are like a successful evening with lots of fun, good friends, love and of course, alcohol. Also recommendable their second record Go The Hack with nine storm warningsI lie down again and calm my skull.

THE PARTISANS - The Time Was Right 1984

Start this day with a classic record: The Partisans, formed in Bridgend/South Wales in early 1978, when all four members were in their early teens, issuing a handful of tightly played high-octane singles with better-than-average lyrics declaimed in a distinctive quasi-Cockney adolescent strop by Spike. This is their second album on Cloak & Dagger Records with thirteen energetic smashers, six of them live, which sounds still fresh and as up-to-date as in the 80s. Yeah, love this kind of intense music, a bit like G.B.H but only 'softer' if you know what I mean. So, I have to go into the city and get some gifts and it will surely a fight, every year the same... I kill them all!

- Special Thx to Fredrik -

THE OUTFIELD - Your Love 7'' 1986

In the 80s a lot of poppy rock bands streamed through the radio and my favorite channel AFN played lots of alternative sound so also this song from the English combo The Outfield. For me real catchy and I bought immediately the 7Inch and this morning the song came into my mind so I made a quick rip at 8:00. I'm surprised how much infos about band and song are available in the net, I thought that would be a one-day fly, especially in Germany the song did not run very often. Anyway, the band released nine albums and broke up in 2014, presumably because guitarist John Spinks died of liver cancer. So enjoy both melodic tunes with beautiful words, let's go ➔

EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN - Kalte Sterne 2x7'' 1981

Now a post I have to make because my feeling situation is so chaotic now that I don't know what to do, of course it's all about the fuckin' love, what else. Why is this always so difficult? I don't know. Well, to Einstürzende Neubauten I must probably not tellin' you much because they have been on the road for over thirty years and everyone knows a few records. Made earlier experimental music but were later unfortunately being commercial. This double EP I acquired for 70 D-Mark or so here at a local record store and all five songs are damn great, Kalte Sterne is a timeless classic, especially "Schwarz" is a killer! Read a full review. Comes with all artwork and not much scratches.

IRON SHEIKS - Do You Sell Beer Here? 1988

"The Geatest Rock'N'Roll band to take stage. The Best there is, the Best there was and the Best there ever will be." That's the Iron Sheiks from Australia and there's a fuckin' excellent balance here. This debut mini album was released by Greasy Pop Records and what a rage, what a violence shown, unfortunately it's much too short!!! They remind me a little of the legendary Ami combo Crumbsuckers. Six powerful punk rock tunes (with a slight metal touch) in fifteen minutes and if I say again a Killer!!! one then I mean it. Yes, every record here is a Killer and you might wonder "The guy is stupid" and maybe I'm.... but that you should know better, otherwise you would not be here. No, trust me and with a record which is titled like this nothing could be wrong. You either believe it or leave. Incredible merciless stuff!

MORBID OUTBURST - My Explosion 1987

Band around Karl Nagel from Preußens Gloria which released an EP and this is the record by Morbid Outburst and here's everything at the right place, nice artwork and a fuckin' cool booklet and most of the lyrics are sung in English (translation in the insert) and they're playing trashy, explosive and eccentric HC/Punk. Their only album was released in 1987 via Funhouse Records. The provocative cover caused a furious protests of feminist circles and was also later censored (a sticker covered the dick). Karl Nagel, the singer of the band started by the way his political career in the Anarchist Pogo Party of Germany (APPD). Unfortunately he was not elected to the Chancellor. My voice he had. The band broke up in the same year and Karl founded the Militant Mothers. Overall, a very successful album that stays in my personal rankings near the top. Really sad that the band earned not much positive resonance what I can't understand... anyway this is a new rip with all scans.

THE EFFIGIES - We're Da Machine EP 1983

One of Chicago's oldest and longest-running punk bands: The Effigies. Formed in early 1980 they played its first show in 1980 and was active for approximately a decade, undergoing multiple personnel changes with frontman John Kezdy the only constant, before disbanding in 1990. The band released five albums and several EPs, most on the record label they founded in 1981, Ruthless Records, which was distributed by Enigma. Later albums were on the Fever Records and Roadkill Records labels. This is their 3rd EP with four good ole school smasher.
