MORBID OUTBURST - My Explosion 1987

Band around Karl Nagel from Preußens Gloria which released an EP and this is the record by Morbid Outburst and here's everything at the right place, nice artwork and a fuckin' cool booklet and most of the lyrics are sung in English (translation in the insert) and they're playing trashy, explosive and eccentric HC/Punk. Their only album was released in 1987 via Funhouse Records. The provocative cover caused a furious protests of feminist circles and was also later censored (a sticker covered the dick). Karl Nagel, the singer of the band started by the way his political career in the Anarchist Pogo Party of Germany (APPD). Unfortunately he was not elected to the Chancellor. My voice he had. The band broke up in the same year and Karl founded the Militant Mothers. Overall, a very successful album that stays in my personal rankings near the top. Really sad that the band earned not much positive resonance what I can't understand... anyway this is a new rip with all scans.

THE EFFIGIES - We're Da Machine EP 1983

One of Chicago's oldest and longest-running punk bands: The Effigies. Formed in early 1980 they played its first show in 1980 and was active for approximately a decade, undergoing multiple personnel changes with frontman John Kezdy the only constant, before disbanding in 1990. The band released five albums and several EPs, most on the record label they founded in 1981, Ruthless Records, which was distributed by Enigma. Later albums were on the Fever Records and Roadkill Records labels. This is their 3rd EP with four good ole school smasher.

FDS - Paranoia EP 1980

OK, a short summary of the rise and fall of Snarklangarna/FDS, as remembered by Patrik, with help from Micke. After various incarnations as Ingenting, Kallsvett, etc, Snarklangarna where formed in 1979 in Rågsved, Stockholm. The initial members where Eva Johansson/Pojken on vocals, Patrik Nilsson/Pinch on guitar, Micke Woxmark - formerly in Insekt - on drums and Jonas Lundborg/Picko on bass. Later in -79 Picko left the group and was replaced by Jocke Pegard/Plutten - formerly in Trams. Around this time the band also changed their name, to FDS. In February -80, they recorded a self-financed EP - Paranoia. As on FDS' live performances, Micke and Jocke switched between drums and bass on different songs on the EP. Guest vocals on the song Arabien, as well as art work on the cover, was provided by Aldo Morot and some reviews where quite positive. Apparently the song Paranoia from the EP later turned up on the awesome punk rock collection Bloodstains Across The World. In the spring/summer of 1980, the band had the pleasure of adding a fifth member, Essing, formerly of Incest Brothers. Unfortunately, all that is left in recorded form from this latest and greatest incarnation of FDS is one studio demo and a handful of badly recorded rehearsals and live tracks. At the end of 1980, the group split. So here now four great early Swedish KBD classics for your discerning ears. (Info from Patrik)

COMMANDO 9MM - Odio En Sudamérica 7'' 1985

This is my Spanish favourite band: Commando 9mm,founded in 1983 by Jose L. Rodríguez (guitar), El Mosca (drums), and Manolo Quevedo (bass+vocals) and this is their debut 7Inch on Ayuntamiento De Madrid with two goodies. Very fat stuff and simply extreme good. They made three albums and all are fantastic, I posted two on my former blog and one day here again. I'm too lazy to write more, I think I've said it all. A must have!

AMSTERDAMNED! - s/t LP 2011

AmsterDamned! was a Hardcore band from, you guess it, Amsterdam and were active from 1980 to 1987 and they only leave a few songs on vinyl on both legendary Als Je Haar Maar Goed Zit compliations and that's really a shame because this band is more than an alarm clock. On this record are 31 songs, previously unreleased Paradiso '82 live soundboard recordings and practise room songs with their female vocalist Joke. The LP is limited to 500 copies. All numbers are an excellent purchase for connoisseurs and newcomers. Sure, the songs are a bit simple and raw, but all in all, a damn good record for any collector of Dutch 80s hardcore punk which you can't ignore. Remarkably good vocals on tracks that way after more than 25 years still sounds just fine. This album is a fuckin' threat and you're a fool if you don't get it.

SHATTERED DOLLS - Lipstick Killer EP 1980

And last but not least a rare goodie from the Wanted-List which appeared on ROX Records, the only single by the Shattered Dolls from Liverpool: Jaki (vocals), Gof (guitar) & at some point Paul (drums). The research in the Internet brings not much info about the combo so let's talk about the music. Four songs in good seventeen minutes and it's punk with a good rockin' touch. Of course, the female voice is fantastic (that's take it out for me) and Jaki is damn hot. Musically I find them a bit lame and no real smasher there but not every record is a burner. It's rare and who wants to have a say must also be able to enjoy such music. The band split in 1982 and the members went to other bands.

KILLRAYS - The Prisoner EP 1992

Long time ago since I've posted a Frankfurt band so now I end this losing streak. The Killrays here with their debut record, a nice four track EP which was released by the Frankfurt label Get Happy Records in different vinyl colors. Basically nothing has changed and they still play their own brand of melodic hardcore. Their first two albums came out on the controversial label Lost & Found Records where desingnated the band as the "German NOFX" in the hope to peddle more CDs and for such a ridiculous and inappropriate name-dropping, the band never had an understanding of themselves. "Lost & Found were indeed true champion there and also at our last CD, "On Common Ground" was the promotional work sometimes frightening" (Gitarrist Tom). They took the bold step and their third album "Dependence Day" was released on their specially created own label Keep Smiling and the resonance was overwhelmingly positive and many refer this as their best album (I've never heard it). Well, those of you who likes a discrete & melodic punkrock sound this record is highly recommended and all the others venture a click. 100% PunkRock!!!!

BUST OUTS - I'm Too Shy 7'' 1981

And another firecracker from Finland from Bust Outs with their only record on Johanna Records. The band were Minttu (vocals), Kelloggs Bollocks (guitar), Jone (guitar+backing vocals), Saku (bass+backing vocals) and Arska (drums), sadly I have no more info, anyway. The sound is not so brutally punky as the Destroy killer but brilliant as well. Two new wave hymns, the title track is a six mintues melodic mid-tempo one with a nice guitar playin' and damn good lyrics and the flip comes also in a good pace therefore. Plus points of course the female's voice. Thanks at this point to mr/mrs. unknown for the reference to post this rare nugget. Sit down and cuddle ;)
