V/A - Halt! 2023

All right! Now, after a long time, one more selfmade Compilation is coming and there are songs on a certain topic that I don't usually do, but this time it was a need for me and it's quite possible that a second one will follow. It's about society & people, and I took thirty-seven killers which I like and think, they're fit. This manipulated society that is trapped in those systems and marches along tightly without following their own emotions and demands, that others hate because of a pimple on their forehead and let themselves be fooled every day and are numbed by the guidelines that are presented to them. Frightening & Incomprehensible this mass social control... I'm so sick of them! Certainly not just here but everywhere and I guess you know what I'm talking about, you see it every day. Anyway, this is my small contribution from the WDM Records headquarters with a lot of help by friends. Enjoy!

V/A - Spit On Your Grave! Vol.2 2004

Ahhh, it's so nice that there are still holidays, even if they are religious in origin. I always welcome them and I think there should be more of them. Today is one of those and we'll come to one more post and it's the second & final Compilation from Buried Alive Recordings with more rare KBD goodies of early American stuff and like Volume 1 this selection is also impressive. Just wait a minute, I still have to buy some alcohol.... well, unfortunately there isn't a lot of information here either, cheap packaging and there isn't a 1977 song on it, but that doesn't bother you because the CD is well stocked and you can buy a copy cheaply or look for the original 7Inches which is almost impossibleNow it's time to dust off my place, prepare a delicious meal later, create covers for a self-made compilation and maybe a third post will follow, ma gugge.

1.Fifi Goes Pop - TINA PEEL
2.Take Me To Your Leader - THE PUDZ
3.Good Bad - THE BONERS
4.I Saw It - DEEP WOUND
5.Convulsions - GG ALLIN & THE SCUMFUCS
6.Kill For Cash - KRAUT
7.Use To Be Cool - THE VAMPS

15.Amerikan Story - CULT HEROES

FUCKIN GUTE BÜRGER BAND - Des Endlose Krampf Mit Dem Egoländers 1981

From Hechingen near Stuttgart came the Fuckin Gute Bürger Band and consisted of H.W. Rotkraut (vocals/guitars), Meier (guitars), Sandy (bass), Lord Patexx (keys), Micha Motorrad (drums). In 1980 they released their debut Live In Stammheim on Unknown Records (1000 copies). The second and final album followed a year later on the same label. The musical range of the five is pleasantly diverse, punk, NDW and a little bit of reggae flow into each other and the biting, vomited lyrics, are sharp and provocative. Political slogans are largely avoided and would rather suit the band less. At first glance one might think this is an uninteresting Seventies Kraut Revival band, but fourteen outpourings prove the opposite. I can't tell you how I got this slab, but I'm glad I ripped it. On Compilations are F.G.B.B. rarely found so give them a listen and enjoy good feelings with great guitar parts!

EVEN WORSE - We Suck! The Lost 1982 Album 2016

Now a slab where I have again to say: Thank You! to the makers who have re-released this delicious music again. Was only available as lame CD under the title You've Ruined Everything 2002 and I wanna quote this nugget with words of the detectives: "One of the best kept secrets of the early pre-NYHC scene, along with Bad Brains, Beastie Boys, Heart Attack, Undead, Kraut, etc., the never-on-vinyl-before lost album by Even Worse, featuring "Big Takeover" magazine editor Jack Rabid (and previously Beastie Boys' founder John Berry, and eventually Noise the Show host/Hugo Largo's Timmy Sommer, and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore's only punk rock band in a later incarnation), with their classic "New York Thrash" compilation lineup recorded at the famous 171A studio, co-produced by Bad Brains, with additional live tracks from New York's legendary Max's Kansas City Club from August 1981. Limited to 500 copies on 180 gram vinyl plus a revealing insert. (Radiation/ 2016)" - A twenty-two course menu that guaranteed fill you up and maybe, if there's enough space, a little piece of mint afterwards. Colossal Stuff!!

KRAUT - Whetting The Scythe 1984

Second release on Cabbage Records by New York's Kraut with nine awkward mid-tempo cookies and the little brother of the slashing debut Adjustment To Society ('82). Well, this sucker is a bit different in my opinion and not as rough as number 1, it doesn't slash and bite me enormous and disappears fast in the dark streets of my nerve pathways, but every fan of Ami punk should take a little shit of time and listen to, while reading useless info: "Whetting The Scythe, a brief nine-song album, finds Kraut abandoning punk for tasteful demi-metal, using doubled guitar leads and charging, articulated power at more moderate tempos. It’s a partially successful variant, easier to follow than hyperdrive punk. Kraut has the chops, the intelligence and (occasionally) the songs to make something really unique. After doing some unfinished sessions, Holland left to become a Cro-Mag and was replaced by Chris Smith (ex-Battalion Of Saints). The new lineup completed three of those hard-rock items in ’85, but Smith drowned and Kraut threw in the towel. The Movie, a 27-track CD, combines the three previously unreleased tracks with both studio albums in their entirety." [Jim Green/Ira Robbins] - The cover is definitely a highlight and now ready for the fuckin' weekend, folks!

IDEAL - Bi Nuu 1982

What I have written about Kraut also applies to this fantastic band. All albums are real Sahnestücker and the first two I haven't not ripped (Oopss!) - The final studio album also shows that Ideal from Berlin are still a fantastic German punk band and that their first record was not the non-plus-ultra. Ideal was for me not a pure NDW band because they understand to put personal & socially critical lyrics in melodic, sometimes aggressive music. I would describe it maybe as 'Schlager', hahahaa... and fuckin' hell everytime I listen to their plates again their music loses none of its relevance and wakes a whole lot of memories. The brilliant live record Zugabe mentioned here again which shows the energy from the band live. Always a good choice & a real pleasure.

KRAUT - An Adjustment To Society 1982

I can't get enough of awesome music and I know words like Killer or Classic I often use but folks, the following record is one of them without exaggeration. I remember, I download their Unemployed EP years ago on kbdrecords and I was entranced immediately. Clear that I immediately burned a compilation of great 7inches and these belonged to unseen. An Adjustment To Society is the debut record by Kraut on Cabbage Records and is packed with sixteen mid-tempo Punk jewels. Right from the start hit after hit and I have rarely enjoyed thirty minutes so much, believe me. Short info: Kraut was a New York City punk band formed in 1981 by original members Davy Gunner (vox), Doug Holland (guitar), Don Cowan (bass) and Johnny Feedback (drums). They released in their five years two EP's and three albums plus in 2004 "Live At CBGB'S" on New Red Archives. In 1986 the band broke up, Doug Holland went on to play for New York hardcore band the Cro-Mags. Here you will find a few reviews to this platte which fit excatly. And now: Listen!!

V/A - Killed By Death 1989

With this record the Killed By Death (Motörhead 1984) serie is born and stands today for brilliant punkrock of the glory late 70s-early 80s days. Everyone knows today what is meant. This copy was released 500 times, later re-released without the Beastie Boys tracks. I guess, I'm not the only one who is grateful for this serie, and I think the makers have not thought it would so fuckin' bang in and become lots of followers. Sure, all these records are bootlegs and the bands never seen any royalties, you can think what you want, but I think it was a good idea because many bands don't exist or the members are out of sight. Anyway, ultimately offer the plates a fantastic overview of what was cool that time and the originals are long sold out and therefore a good thing. Well, let's see when there is a new release comin' along.
