BITCH BOYS - A'Capella Schumacher EP 1981

From Stockholm comes another great punk band called the Bitch Boys and they were formed in 1978. They disbanded in 1981 after several songs. They also did some gigs and had plans for more, but due to memberproblems it all died. They reunited again in 1994 and re-recorded all the old songs again on a compilation album called "Vi Är Trötta På Att Vara Bäst". The name of the band is a parody of the Beach Boys. The band played angry & funny stuff and you can hear it quite well. A rare release and again I thank the noble contributor who sent me this little piece of vinyl. And because I'm a nice guy I packed their first 7Inch 'Häftig Fredag' from 1979 within.

SIXTEN REDLÖS - Ni Ska Få Ångra 7'' 1984 + I Wish I Woz An Animal 7'' 1985

Sixten Redlös (aka 6-10 Redlös) was a punk band from Jönköping who was active 1981 - 1987, 2002 and 2009-2010. They released during the latter period, in the 1980s a couple of singles and an LP. The band started as a skatepunk band in the early 80's in Jönköping/Huskvarna. The first gig was on 22. November 1981. The band was first called 'Rövens Hemd' but changed soon to Sixten Redlös. Group members were heavily involved in the occupation of the old fire station in Jönköping and thus became one of the first bands that moved into the Kulturhus, the result of the occupation. The drummer Jonas was replaced by Johan and Jojje stopped playing guitar. The group recorded the first demo in Asta Kasks Studio in Töreboda. A few years later they released the first single "Ni Ska Få Ångra" on the label S Records. 1985 follows single number 2 "I Wish I Woz An Animal", recorded in MNW studio in Waxholm. In the years 1984-87 the group toured extensively in Sweden, Denmark and Norway and made around 150 gigs. 1986, Mats Larsson Lutten band to become a drummer in Stockholms Negrer. The group recorded an LP "Slå Alarm" and continued touring. 6-10 Redlös did include a highly acclaimed concert at the first Hultsfred Festival with the English New Model Army who invited the group on an England tour. The band dissolved in 1987 after a series of chaotic gigs. In the 90's Seadog Records released a best of compilation called "Sålunda Spelade Sixten Redlös". When the Kulturhuset in Jönköping celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2002 the band main attraction and in 2009 it was again time for Sixten Redlös to get up on stage. Along with punk comrades Asta Kask they did a number of sold-out gigs. In 2010 they played on "Den Stora Punkgalan" in Stockholm, including Bitch Boys, Stoodes, Problem and P-Nissarna. The band appeared on several Swedish punk compilations. Two solid 7Inches full with a powerful sound and don't worry: This is Punkrock!!!!

BANDAGE - Republik EP 1978 + Populär 7'' 2015

You take what you have, Bandage thought and sat in a boy's room in the mid seventies and tried to mimic the hard rock bands with the help of acoustic guitars. In April 1977, they thought it was time to buy real gadgets, and in the same vein they heard the Ramones, The Clash and Sex Pistols and decided that it was punk they wanna play. In July the same summer, they did their first gig at a farm party in Tyresö. The set was then Peter (vocals/bass), Jan (guitar) and Stefan (drums). A little later Stefan #2 joined as 2nd guitarist. Then the high school began to approach the end and for a couple herded the lump. When Bandage rented a studio in May 1978 to record this four-song EP, it was already almost clear that the band would be closed down. Although the studio technician had to decide, it had not become a record. He suggested a little tentatively that it might be enough if they used the recording as a demo ... But a record it was, though so terribly punk it didn't sound. "Republik" their attack on the royal house, and closing "Sven Brutal" were pretty tough songs, while "Jesus Lever" could be mistaken for a religious song. However, they assured it was irony. And speaking of irony, they changed the lyrics from "Republik" to "Diktatur" instead of emphasizing the irony. But according to David Halvars, it was marginally more people who understood the irony in the text line “Dictatorship - We should have that! Dictatorship - We want that! Dictatorship - We shall have that in our country ”. Over time, a new bandage emerged. With only Peter and Jan from the original set, they continued for a while before the band went to the grave for good. (Info from the book Ny Våg)

In 2015 Slyngel Rekords dug out two more lost nuggets from the Stockholms and released the single in an edition of 300 copies in purple vinyl. They exchanged a few members, including David Halvars from Bitch Boys in the band, and recorded a demo in 1980 that sounded much rougher than the EP. The demo ended up on the radio program New Vags editorial which meant that the Swedish people got to experience a catchy punkpop song named "Populär". What should I report further? This is excellent stuff whereby I like the new single almost better but that's like everything, a matter of taste and I’m sure you’ll enjoy this fantastic stuff - they only existed about a year and never get outside Stockholm.

COCKNEY REJECTS - The Peel Sessions 08.08.1979 & 13.02.1980 EP's [2014]

Well, since the fucking formatting doesn't allow me to write any text next to the picture, I have to write my words as usual, although I would like it to be different. Fuck This Bitch! This is really a pain in the ass and I can't understand this bullshit system... Egal, now a double feature with two rare John Peel sessions by the Cockney Rejects which came out on Pirate Love Records in a limited edition of 300 numbered copies each. I guess, I don't have to tell you much about the boys, they were one of the first Oi! bands that formed by brothers Jeff & Micky Geggus in the EastEnd of London 1977. The band are fans of West Ham United and the violence depicted in their lyrics was often mirrored at their concerts, and they often fought to defend themselves (often from supporters of opposing football teams) or to split up conflicts between audience members. But those are just side notes, the Cockneys are a venerable combo who are still touring and very active, even forays into the metal genre show how versatile and brave the Londoners are, and to date they have released nine albums, the first two are classics which the so-called Punks will still hear in one hundred years, I think. It's been a nice day of swimming so far, I bought a pack of fifty Rolo's and now I'm watching a little Tour De France with a Benediktiner but weekends without football suck which you can certainly confirm!

- Great Thx to Fredrik -

V/A - Feel Lucky Punk?!! 1991

Let's sprinkle a bit of warmth into your little desperate hearts on this cold gray Sunday with this unofficial record from Gonzo Hate Binge Records, so let the detectives themselves speaking (so I do not have to blah blah): Greetings, Collector Scum! and welcome to the world of snotty, obnoxious, two-chord punkrock! V/A - Bad Teeth #1: U.K. & Irish Punk Bands 1977-1982

Last post today, and as you're used to in this theater, a great compilation created by Hyped To Death. A little introduction of the label from their page: "Rare, obscure, independent and undiscovered punk, post-punk, "D.I.Y." and Power Pop Groups from the US and UK 1977-1984. Hundreds and hundreds of bands dealing with compilations and dozens of releases of individual acts, all brilliantly restored on CD and custom CDRs. Plus tens of links and liner notes galore..." I think all their releases came out in limited editions and are not uninteresting for collectors. This one is my only copy, and try to find a disc by yourself is similar to finding the Holy Grail, almost impossible. The best way is to contact the label. Well, maybe more will follow or someone out there will send me some. Until then, enjoy it!
