Last post today, and as you're used to in this theater, a great compilation created by Hyped To Death. A little introduction of the label from their page: "Rare, obscure, independent and undiscovered punk, post-punk, "D.I.Y." and Power Pop Groups from the US and UK 1977-1984. Hundreds and hundreds of bands dealing with compilations and dozens of releases of individual acts, all brilliantly restored on CD and custom CDRs. Plus tens of links and liner notes galore..." I think all their releases came out in limited editions and are not uninteresting for collectors. This one is my only copy, and try to find a disc by yourself is similar to finding the Holy Grail, almost impossible. The best way is to contact the label. Well, maybe more will follow or someone out there will send me some. Until then, enjoy it!

Bin ja weiter fleißig in deinem Blog beschäftigt und suche eigentlich schon Jahre (ich glaub, es gab nur 2 EP's) die nirgends vertreten ist und da sie sich unglücklicherweise einen Namen ausgesucht haben, der (So ähnlich) später von ner Nazi Band Verwendet wurde. Gerät man schnell inj Gefahr als Nezu verkannt und verurteilt zu werden. Nachdem du aber sehr, sehr viele alte, selten EP's u.A. auch aus der Schweiz hast, erdreiste ich mich mal und frage dich nach dieser Band: Es ist die Schweizer Punk Band "Kraft durch Freude" (Nicht wie die Nazis Kraft durch Froide). Ich glaube, sie haben mit auch wegen den Scherereien zwecks Verwechslungen aufgehört oder Name geändert.
ReplyDeleteIch suche diese Band jetzt schon nahzu 20 Jahre, Aber außer abgelaufenen Links auf alten Blogs findet man nichts mehr. Vielleicht gibt es ja doch mehr oder vielleicht hast ja du ne EP, Konzert-Mitschnitt; Album? oder anderweitige Samplerbeiträge, die du irgendwie uploaden könntest
Damit würdest du mir wirklich nen Herzenswunsch erfüllen.

DeleteThis was a great series, but he only ended up doing 4 volumes before he retired it (I got three of them from him shortly after as well as 2 volumes of a series he was doing called "Planet Punk" for things outside USA, UK and Canada). I don't think they are even available by request any more.
