SHAKIN NASTIES & THE SHOCKS - Split EP 2003

I'm a bit lazy to write so I quote the info from Fanboy Records that I can seamless underline: "Wow, I hadn't thought old auntie '77 punk rock could be still that sexy. The Shocks, Berlin's well acclaimed answer to the Briefs, and comming outta Bremen it's the Shakin' Nasties, together on one hell of a split 7". Each band snotting out two little ditties, wich damn sure will proof, that, what we got at hand here, are simply two of Germanys hottest Punk Rock bands arround! The Shakin' Nasties, a Bremen based band (I go for alliterations), burst boldly into two punk smashers, featuring Jasper Hood's unmistakeable high frequency moaning. The Shocks are well known for their minimalistic retro -'deutschpunk', far beyond the city limits of Berlin. On this record they switch to english with two remarkeably cool tracks – sounds like they've never done anything else! A version of The Saint's 'Private Affair' and their own sweet little Rock'N'Stalinist." Four garage bad ass kickin' cookies which will amaze everyone.

V/A - Vi Äro Huliganer (Punk Och Ny Våg Från Eskilstuna 1978-1984) 2009

More superb music with this wonderful collection of early punk and new wave stuff from Undefined Sounds, released 2009 and this CD shows the impressive span of underground bands at this time in Eskilstuna. The songs have those wild easiness how it only happens in stinky basements and appear in small editions on vinyl. All tracks are quite awesome (particularly the MINX & DR NO & THE NEGATIVES songs...aaahhhhhh, if anyone have more from these both bands PLEASE leave me a message), mixed with a few live cuts, powerful & essential. Sweets you would kill for - No more to say, this is real punk. Grab this!

IDEAL - Monotonie 7'' 1982

Now one more rarity by my favorite Berlin band. Rarity you will ask? Yes, the B-side is what I mean. Ideal played one instrumental (Geheimnis Der Großstadt) in their career and that can be only found here. And it's worth for this song alone to buy the record, at least it was for me the incentive, now you see clearly. The A-side was a hit worldwide and it's no wonder why people searchin' for their records nowadays, pleasant stress-free music and all four albums are quite brilliant and they were very successful. So at this point I will not write much about them and if you click Bi Nuu you will find more infos/records and let's come closer to this sympathetic band. By the way, if you take a look at eBay for this single, you will realize that you can't get this record by cheap prizes, sometimes the offers are really crazy. The worls is full of assholes!, also Obacht! Time for soccer, tonight versus Bremen, Prost!

E.A.T.E.R. - Doomsday Troops EP 1983

Ernst And The Edsholm Rebels – E.A.T.E.R. were formed in the summer of 1982 in Grums/Kil, Värmland, Sweden by Mikael “Gröten” Karlsson (guit/vox), Anders Brännström (bass), Peter “Pelle” Forsman (drums) and Hans “Hasse” Dahlgren (vox). and this first line-up of E.A.T.E.R. recorded Chaos Cassette vol.1 which was realesed in the fall of 1982. A number of gigs were played by this first line-up, among them the chaotic and by media well documented gig at Segmons Folkets hus in february of 1983. By the release of the bands debut EP Doomsday Troops (Ernst Records) Hasse was replaced by Mikael “Micke” Larsson as the leadsinger. Micke had earlier played in Psykjouren together with infamous and by now nationwidely known Buddha. Doomsday Troops EP was recorded and produced In KAAS by the band & Micke Blomqvist, and released in the summer of 1983. The record was sold all over the world, and E.A.T.E.R. recived recognition from people like Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys and Pushead, the artist that made Metallicas and the Misfits cartoons. With the new line-up and a sucessfull record-realese the band went on the road and toured Sweden. A review: "Not to be confused with the '77 U.K. punk band Eater, this Swedish group (Ernst And The Edsholm Rebels) floor down on the acceleration and rapidly hit fast, lightning doses of 1000-m.p.h. thrash mayhem. An outrageous display of burning speed and mind-boggling turbulence, combined with chaotic chops of lyrical expression. Don't be fooled by the hilarious intro to the title cut--this EP hauls its load fast and furious in the new Swedish tradition." - Pushead (from Maximum Rock'n'Roll #13, April/May 1984) - The band is still active and I recommend this five piece of classic swedish hardcore tunes and the compilations Really Fast #1 and Killed By Hardcore #2.

THE VERNON WALTERS - Last (Live) EP 1990

From Hoorn came this dutch punx called the Vernon Walters (1986-1990), named after an American diplomat & officier mainly known as personal adviser to presidents Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy. Frontman Hans Engel (vox+guitars) plays an important role in the dutch underground scene. He was also active as a programmer for the youth center Troll and co-founder of the Westfries Popkollektief. The band started the label Let's Make Our Own Records and they released a split with Indirekt in 1987, followed by their only album two years later, and three singles. Musically they played melodic punkrock with political messages by sincere lads; which didn't mean they were not having a sense of humor. Later Engel was active in the band Hungry I. In May 2003 at the age of 42 he get killed during a stay in Spain. In August 2007 revealed the street sign with his friends Hans Engel Intersection in the Hoorn and Eastern Polder Bangert new district. So this is their last record with six live goodies which were recorded @ the Troll/Hoorn on 2. June 1990.

VITTU EI KIITOS - s/t EP 2004

Debut slab with six great Hardcore goodies from Rovaniemi, Katja and Jukka Jonza from Turku and released via Höhnie Records! Founded in the summer of 2002 at the Arctic Circle! All four people in the band take lead vocals, all sung in native Finnish, the sexiest language in the world! Zero cover versions! Six own songs in the tradition of old Terveet Kädet, Kohu-63 or Shitter Limited, but none with these bands really comparable! Recorded in studios Napalm/Tampere, the capital of Finnish HC punk! The first 500 copies appeared in white vinyl. From the cult factor hard to beat!

J.R. BAND - Separationsångest EP 1981

The one and only record by this Swedish punks called J.R. Band (stands for Jukka Rasilla Band) and they were probably from Gothenburg but I'm not sure. More info about the band is nowhere to found. All three songs kickin' good, the production is pretty dirty and rough and I like their simple trashy sound, very catchy and with a lot of charm. It’s a pleasure listening to them and never gets bored at all. One more little highlight in the great wide punk rock ocean.

NIRVANA - @ Roskilde Festival 26.06.1992

What should I write here? Everyone knows Nirvana and there are so many numerous bootlegs available after Kurt's suicide in 1994 + the sell-off thus boosted. Personally, I have never experienced them live because the hype about the band really passed me by and I had no opportunity at that time so I think: I missed something historical. Of course I bought the records then and realize how great they are and I regret, not having been there. Anyway, Kurt, Chris and Dave have caused a sensation and remain unforgotten and they proved that impressively alive and those who caught a gig can confirm this and I believe it on the basis by such awesome sound recordings too.

CADILLAC - Sweat'Shit 1978

Tonight I will make you happy with another re-post from the Tahiti Girls blog, which unfortunately died much too soon and this nugget is by a four piece from north europe, more precisely Vaajakoski/Jyväskylä and Cadillac were active 1974-1978 and founded by Jouko (guitar + vocals), Tapani (bass + vocals), Jussi (drums + vocals) and in 1977 they released their debut album 'Fly' as Rock Cadillac on Discovox. But one guitar was not enough for their '77 rock sound so Jarmo joined as second guitarist and the Sweet Brains 7'' followed in advance as a sample on Titan out and few months later this, the second and last, brilliant album with twelve decent mid-tempo cookies came and you can clearly hear why two guitars are sometimes a must. Represented on only two compilations: Bloodstains Across Europe 2 + Killed By Death #33 and supposedly only 300 copies were made of this album and therefore predestined for wdthtc. You'll like it...I'm sure

BÖHSE TANTEN - Tough Ain't Enough EP 2013

Let's come to this nice record which was released hand numbered to 500 copies via Antisozial Records and it's the debut vinyl by the Böhse Tanten from Madrid and they cover lieder by Böhse Onkelz which is nothing special, but the Böhse Tanten are Skinheads and play only the older ones with their own lyrics (in Spanish and broken German)! Founded 2007 by Malte (vox), Niklas (bass), Peter (guitars) and Jaime (drums) they came to the idea to polish the old Onkelz songs in a punkin' direction and their first album (only as CD, 500 copies) Made In Madrid with eight songs is nowadays a rare jewel. What the boys drifted until 2013 is not known to me but a compilation album called The Oaschwukal Jahre was released with the CD and EP tracks and since then it has become quiet. Of course, you can ask: Does make that any sense at all? but I think it's cool because the music is not bad and that counts. Ach Scheiße, zieht Euch die vier Liedchen rein und damit hat sich's!
