ATT MÖRDA EN ÖVERORDNAD - s/t 7'' 2016

Slyngel Rekords 016 is dedicated to Att Mörda En Överordnad (To Kill A Superior), a short lived five piece from Linköping and they were active 1983-1984. The protagonists in detail: Stefan (vocals), Nicklas & Per (guitars), Thomas (bass), Ante (drums) and there exists a tape called Här Är Er Djävla Relik! with ten songs from 1983-1984 and was, I guess, distributed around that time in small mailorders or at gigs. "Founded June 1983 and passed over in silence September 1984. Four public appearances on stage did happen. Three of the sessions were official but one of them was more unofficial. During an outdoor concert in Valla the band made a raid and entered the stage to play two beautiful songs before they were evicted." There are two decent goodies to listen to which have a better recording quality than the tape, as I am used to from the label, of course long out of print and thus a rare record. Cool one!

FIENDENS MUSIK - A Boot Right In The Face 7'' 2014

Slyngel Rekords stands for rare Swedish KBD nuggets, released on colored vinyl and mostly in a limited edition of 300 copies. Slyngel #008 is dedicated to Fiendens Musik, a combo from Lund and started originally as cover band, but quick evolved writing their own songs inspired by the upcoming Punk & New Wave explosion at the end of the Seventies. The band did under a short time four singles and two albums. "Fiendens Musik arose in the gap between the Swedish prog movement and Punk. The result was a raucous and thunderous rock to Swedish lyrics with a strong touch of reality. The band tackled topics such as everyday racism and unprovoked street violence decades before they hit the public agenda, and always with self-perceived lyrics. They struck right and left, with the same sharp irony against square progs and left-wing activists as against young moderate upper-class fashions. The band's name was taken, typically enough, from a Maoist pamphlet against rock music - this capitalist abomination - entitled "The People Can Never Win to the Music of the Enemy". Pompous nonsense to which the Enemy replied with an ironic wink." These two songs were recorded 1979 and are probably outtakes that didn't make it onto the first album, so both perfect for Slyngel's rare 7inch Collection. 👍

SABOTAGE - Sveriges Apor 7'' 2014

#007 from the popular label Slyngel Rekords has been sold out for a long time and you know why: 300 copies and more is not. Sabotage are from Solna (Swedish province of Stockholm län) and the four Thomas & Johan (guitar/vocals), Peter (bass), Matte (drums) recorded these two smasher as a demo at Sveriges Radio in Stockholm 1982 and they weren't even of legal age when the recordings were made, at least that's what the cover offers and that's amazing I thinkI wish I'd gotten into Punk when I was seventeen, I sure wouldn't be doing a fucking slave job right now. Fact is, that unfortunately only these two nuggets survived and possibly the band was only conceived as a small project to make school days more pleasant, who knows? "The band started as SEG DEG in the new year 81/82 and soon the name was changed to Sabotage because there were other bands with the same name we didn't know about. We (Sabotage) shared a rehearsal space with Thorsten Flinck's band Rockvindar, later CasablancaIn autumn they recorded a number of demo songs and shortly after that, the bassist was fired and we continued without a bass player for a few months. In total, Sabotage managed about ten gigs between 82-83. Mostly we played at Solna's leisure parks, but also at a youth rock festival in Huddinge and at the big Gräsrockfestivalen in Solna. The last performance was at the theater school in Stockholm after an invitation from Thorsten. By then, Sabotage had hired a bass player and interest in continuing with the band had cooled significantly and in 1983 the band broke up. Johan has continued in the arts and there also in a musical context, i.a. in the group Hedningarna and in own music projects and songwriting. Matte has not touched or owned drums since the age of 12, but started again in his 40s by co-founding the Punk band Strindberg Som Tortyr - SST. Peter sometimes plays in cover bands. Thomas no longer plays, but is still loyal to Punk music." Check both goodies via Slyngels bandcamp base and enjoy!

BRACKMANGLARNA - Popnissar EP 2015

Before I go back to the swimming lake today, another highlight from Slyngel Rekords, and number 010 is dedicated to a three piece from Linköping named Brackmanglarna and this bloody sucker was pressed 300 times. All three smashers were recorded in 1980 and the band consisted to my knowledge of Magnus (vocals/guitars), Johan (bass), Jan (drums) nd they made it to a record, so the detectives contact the band and they found this little three numbers at least. Excellent KBD Punk and again once more a band from the fundus of lost swedish delicacies. It's already twenty-four degrees, I'll go right away and swim a bit and I hope you also have the opportunity to jump into cool water and tonight there is trout with delicious butter potatoes, I love this dish. 🎵🐟 🌞 Life Is Great!

P-NISSARNA - En Sanitär Olägenhet 2019

Likbas was released by the same label Ken-Rock (specializes in old swedish punk classics like Slyngel Rekords) as the following album by P-Nissarna and that is for sure a collector's edition in my opinion, because in 2004 came (only as CD) a compilation called Flumpungar via Swedish Punk Classics out and the songs partly overlap. This dittie was pressed in 500 copies on yellow, red and black vinyl (yellow 100, red 200, black 200) and you can discover tracks from the Jugend EP ('79), unreleased 1981 recordings, 1982 recordings which were later released by Really Fast Records as Världskrig III and four goodies from the Kalla Den Va Fan Du Vill compilation, released 2007 on CD via Ztar Records. Quick Info: P-Nissarna were one of the youngest bands with a real cult status from Falun. They were active in the years 1978 - 1982 and their lyrics were considered provocative at the time, and they still kick into many stupid pale moonfaces.

SLITAGE - Farbror Polisen EP 2016

New lost material from Slyngel Rekords, #013 and it's Slitage, Norrtälje's first punk band, formed early January 1977 and the Ramones and Damned ignited the spark and made them want to start making noise in their rehearsal room. The band consisted of Petta (vocals), John (guitar), Ted (bass), Micael (drums). They did some gigs in folk house in Norrtälje and a tour to Småland's Lessebo. In 1979, a demo was recorded in Uppsala with the help of members of the pop band Hansa Band. Among the songs was "Stoppa Travolta", a song that felt just right in a time when disco and pompous symphony rock was a great contrast to punk. "Fort Men Fel" is about pickpockets who always fussed and wanted to whip the shit out of the punks. "Farbror Polisen" is about the nice uncles from the law enforcement officers. In the fall of 1979, the band was disbanded but members continued to play in other bands such as Studio Sex, Cherness, Blues Drivers, Mannish Boys, Generals and President Gas. This three track killer EP contains recordings from this demo, released in green vinyl in an edition of 300 copies. It kicks! So, please, either take the plunge or stop teasing me.

AGGRESSIVA KOSTYMER - s/t 7'' 2014

A real rarity is this 7Inch by a combo from Norrköping which had a short lifespan, 1978-1981, and left few recordings. A bit info from punktjafs: Aggressiva Kostymer was formed in summer 1978 at Café Röda Tuppen, a gathering place for lost Peking punks, progs and other lost people. The basic set was Per (vocals/guitar), Johan (guitar), Undertaker (bass) and Kryddan (drums). Undertaker leave and Peter came in, Kryddan also left the band shortly afterwards and was replaced by Micke. The band focused to play live as much as possible, mostly in Central Sweden. It was popular at this time to record at least one single, but not for them, "Live" it would be, that was real Punk for the band. But despite this, they paid a visit to a studio in Norrköping in the spring of 1979, which resulted in at least the songs "Plastkärlek" and "19 År" were taped. These two cannon songs lay and collected dust until Slyngel Rekords finally released them on vinyl in 2014 in an edition of 300 copies. Aggressiva Kostymer hung off their jackets in 1981, with the flag at the top. Two superb blasts!

DE VENERIAS - Monarki 7'' 2016

Today we visit Stockholm first, I think the following band came from there, at least both songs of this fantastic 7Inch were recorded there back in 1979. De Venerias consisted of Johnny (vocals), Leif (guitar), Claes (bass) and Peter (drums). Allow me to give you some infos from my favorite punksite swedishpunkfanzine here because, a) comes from the country, b) excellent archive and always worth a visit, c) all infos about this record in a nutshell, d) why write everything twice. "This is the Holy Grail!!!! The band could not afford to make a 7Inch release. However – they made sure that a test press was made as payment was not expected until the real records were presses. Quite smart, quite punk. Of the four testpresses one is for sure damaged when one of the members became Hare Krishna. Two records are with collectors and the last one… no one knows. 'Monarki' was on the Killed By Death #51 compilation. The rumor is that the B-side is even greater than the A-side but the owners are keeping the secret how the song sounds for themselves." Well, now you can find out for yourselfs because this rare sucker was re-released of course by Slyngel Rekordsthe label for rare lost Swedish Punk Nuggets, in an edition of 300 copies on yellow vinyl. And if the words haven't convinced you yet, move your fat ass to bandcamp and turn to maximum volume and kill yourself.

ISOTOP KNALL - (Tele)Vision 7'' 2015

The headquarters of Slyngel Records have with #012 again two fantastic nuggets unearthed and you know, this label stands for quality in every way. Isotop Knall (cool name) consisted of Jan (vocals), Boris & Daniel (guitars), Michael (bass), Mattias (organ), Urban (drums) and both songs were recorded in October 1980. Amazingly fabulous rhythms in both and the use of an organ I have rarely heard in punkrock. Their sound gives them a magical, almost childlike undertone, as if I were in kindergarten. On the a-side is a hearty three-minute piece while the flip is a cool 1:40 Christmas carol... and again this fucking organ, brilliant!! Convince yourself at Slyngels bandcamp presence, there you find more rare Swedish lost nuggets.
Hot stuff, my friends. Limited to 300 copies, blue vinyl and listening to this fills you with joy.

DISTORTION - Skäms EP 2016

Another great record from Slyngel Rekords and number 015 is dedicated to the youngsters of Distortion, a five piece which were founded somewhere in the Swedish province and the four decent songs were recorded in 1982. 300 copies in red vinyl exist and there are a few words on the back cover, but in Swedish, and I can't give you more information. Anyway, it's important that the slab is another rarity of lost Scandinavian punk nuggets and, as usual, released in an excellent presentation, nothing more is necessary. More Slyngel releases and sounds on their  bandcamp site.

BANDAGE - Republik EP 1978 + Populär 7'' 2015

You take what you have, Bandage thought and sat in a boy's room in the mid seventies and tried to mimic the hard rock bands with the help of acoustic guitars. In April 1977, they thought it was time to buy real gadgets, and in the same vein they heard the Ramones, The Clash and Sex Pistols and decided that it was punk they wanna play. In July the same summer, they did their first gig at a farm party in Tyresö. The set was then Peter (vocals/bass), Jan (guitar) and Stefan (drums). A little later Stefan #2 joined as 2nd guitarist. Then the high school began to approach the end and for a couple herded the lump. When Bandage rented a studio in May 1978 to record this four-song EP, it was already almost clear that the band would be closed down. Although the studio technician had to decide, it had not become a record. He suggested a little tentatively that it might be enough if they used the recording as a demo ... But a record it was, though so terribly punk it didn't sound. "Republik" their attack on the royal house, and closing "Sven Brutal" were pretty tough songs, while "Jesus Lever" could be mistaken for a religious song. However, they assured it was irony. And speaking of irony, they changed the lyrics from "Republik" to "Diktatur" instead of emphasizing the irony. But according to David Halvars, it was marginally more people who understood the irony in the text line “Dictatorship - We should have that! Dictatorship - We want that! Dictatorship - We shall have that in our country ”. Over time, a new bandage emerged. With only Peter and Jan from the original set, they continued for a while before the band went to the grave for good. (Info from the book Ny Våg)

In 2015 Slyngel Rekords dug out two more lost nuggets from the Stockholms and released the single in an edition of 300 copies in purple vinyl. They exchanged a few members, including David Halvars from Bitch Boys in the band, and recorded a demo in 1980 that sounded much rougher than the EP. The demo ended up on the radio program New Vags editorial which meant that the Swedish people got to experience a catchy punkpop song named "Populär". What should I report further? This is excellent stuff whereby I like the new single almost better but that's like everything, a matter of taste and I’m sure you’ll enjoy this fantastic stuff - they only existed about a year and never get outside Stockholm.

THE PAIN - My Head Is Burnin' 7'' 2015

I hope your Easter holidays are going well and I'll sit in the beautiful Wetterau and delight you with another rarity from Slyngel Rekords, # 011 is dedicated to The Pain, a gang of four consisting of Spiv (vocals), the Ant (guitars), Hocky (bass) & Stefan (drums). Little info from discogs: The Pain was the toughest, coolest and the most rowdy of the early swedish bands within the punk movement. The band, which came from Nacka, was born when Staffan and Håkan Uppgren came to a punk gala in France during their train trip, late summer '76. The band didn't get started until about six months later when they got a rehearsal place. Even though the band never played outside of Stockholm, they soon became famous throughout Sweden. After an EP and a single and three different guitarists the band imploded in fall of 1979 into a black hole filled with leather, studs, hydrogen peroxide and Beyaz wine. Hocky went on to play with the groups Chatterbox and La Crosse aswell as in Stabbers (together with Stejmo). Staffan started B-films and Janne Andersson continued to play with Ulf Lundell and also with his band JAPOP. Janne Oldaeus continued with the bands Rost & The Mosquitos aswell as a backing musician in Jerry Williams band. 300 copies were pressed, white vinyl and both songs are outtakes from the same session of their debut EP 'Feel The Pain' 1979 in Stockholm. So far so good, enjoy the sun and another Schätzchen afterwards.

ADRIAN CUBA - Kamp I Kramp EP 2018

Recorded 1982 in small town studio, Karlstad and first released on the Picassos Barn tape compilation, Slyngel Rekords has pushed these three songs again and as # 018 of their series unforgettable Swedish punk classics in an edition of 300 copies in chic purple vinyl last year re-activated. The band consisted of Gunnar (vocals/bass), Gnissel (guitar/vocals) and Pyri (drums) and I guess, after a short time they broke up and more info is not  available, they're not even mentioned in the essential encyclopedia by Peter Jandreus, so you'll see this combo is a real find. Enjoy this sound and search for more Slyngel posts top left.

GLO - Ruttna Radion 7'' 2014

Let's open August and I start with a bonbon. Surely some of you know that a little Swedish label called Slyngel Rekords at irregular intervals rare and unpublished material, demos of early Swedish punk nuggets in form of 7Inches in a limited edition of 300 copies and mostly colored, release and I can only recommend you to get these goodies, especially when you like the sound of the three crown culture, and short catchy three chords killer appreciate. This is the sixth record and was dedicated to GLO (Gothenburg Ligist Organization) which released two EP's and one album, Ljusåret Kommer and were welcome guests on numerous compilations. Both songs were recorded in Gothenburg 1980 and are finally brought to life. Certainly a tedious job: making contacts, creating artwork, pressing vinyl, raising money, etc... - this is D.I.Y. with passion; and it is worth the effort and I'm sure the makers would be happy & thankful about your comments, opinions and reviews. You have the chance to do this via Fatzebook where you can get in touch and discover more infos. GLO split up 1982.

IQ 55 - Du Är Så Sårbar 7'' 2013

In 2013 four friends, I think, had the idea to bring more rare Swedish punkrock in the world and founded a new label called Slyngel Rekords. Reason enough for me to post more or less one of them. Without my friend Fredrik I would never have been in touch with this stuff and without permission, I would not set in here. Thus, this first is as a quick snack and I recommend to buy the records. Meanwhile, thirteen are published, each limited to 300 copies, colored vinyl with nice artwork. Absolutely non-profit oriented and a good example of passion expression, from Fans for Fans. IQ 55 from Linköping was the first release and they recorded a 7Inch in 1979 and a demo in 1980. Brilliant kbd punk stuff. Get in touch with label via Fatzebook and stay up to date for new records.

DOCENT DÖD - s/t LP 1980

After a hard day I need now cozy music and with the debut album of the Stockholm band Docent Död I park right. Docent Död are among the better-known punk bands in Sweden and recently a limited 7inch with two rare pieces was published on Slyngel Rekords. After three famous singles (listen here) they have captured their debut album on Sonet and filled with fourteen mid-tempo goodies. Crispy melodic guitars dominate the pop/punk sound, the drums brings its full intensity herein, decent bass-line and a singer who has appetite in the recordings. I think you can hear those positive vibes and that creates a large number of fans. Docent Död have made a great debut, are present on several compilations and can make music, rätt så!

- Special Thx to Fredrik -
