MÄDELS NO MÄDELS - Take That! EP 1998

By popular demand, finally Punk from Sindelfingen by Mädels No Mädels who have been celebrating their cutting '77 style dance music since 1989. Originally founded as Heavy Mädels they released their first EP under this name on FAE Musik. This was followed by the renaming to Mädels No Mädels and since then several singles and three albums have been born. They haven't all the qualities of a successful band, that doesn't let anything or anyone get in the way. Unmistakable Punkrock that always sounds crisp like fresh from the baker. In this file you find their fourth EP plus the legendary 333 x Up & Down 7Inch from 1992, both released via the great Incognito Records label. Sound 'Made In Germany' that roars, sweaty concert-goers, 99% humidity and snapped guitar strings are trademarks for a typical Mädels No Mädels gig. It's no exaggeration to say that the band brings fun into your life with their refreshing, carefree music that takes you back to life and leaves everyday life where it belongs. Also represented on numerous CompisMusicians on these two singles are Oli (vocals/guitar), Johnny (guitars), Jenz (bass) and Hari (drums) and their debut Doggie Style comes soon. Until then, let yourself be intoxicated by their driving music, buy their records (if available) and enjoy spring. Cheers!

MÄDELS NO MÄDELS - Doggie Style 1992

The long wait is over today, here it is finally: the debut album by the Sindelfingen Mädels No Mädels on Bellaforte Records with seventeen variable songs. You immediately notice the carefree nature of the three, because the good mood and humor that they convey in their songs is extremely contagious. In addition, the fantastic artwork means the record won't stay on the shelf for long. Drummer Johnny describes their music: "Our unmistakable Punkrock sounds as casual as a spaceship falling into a lipstick factory." Sounds interesting? Then convince yourself and listen to it and if you like, check their other stuff in this theatre. So, the vacation is slowly approaching and I still have a few things to do. Have a good weekend with the Mädels and do something nice. Cheers!

V/A - Up + Down 1994

It goes forward now with this sunny compilation by Incognito Records and its a small excerpt of their proud 333 x Up & Down series which features circa 45 EP's and a few of them are waiting somewhere in this theatreI will quote the exquisite introduction by Barny, the label boss, so you know what medicine you need: "Two years ago we started putting out 7''s, which are limited to 333 handnumbered copies each. No, we're not lazy, but we were sick of the music-business and we wanted to release just good music by cool bands. We didn't look for famous names and didn't give a fuck about "market-chances" or bollocks like that. If we liked a band we put out a record by it. That was it! Of course, we couldn't expect to sell thousands of records by These not too famous upstarts, so we had to limit them. We thought 333 would be a not too bad number.... When the series started we've been surprised about the big publicity in mags and zines. People from all parts of the world wrote letters to us and in due of this big request we're re-releasing the best songs of the first bunch of 7''s now. An important note for CD-haters: this 74 minutes flood has one third more playtime than a LP, but it costs less than one third more than a vinyl-longplayer. Technical developments are not always bad, even not the "anti-punk" CD, if you use it the right way! Anyway: If you still hate silverfishs, go buy the original 7Inches of the 333 x Up & Down series. We're trying hard to feature bands from around the globe and so the '77 style survives us all." Finally, I would like to mention the excellent black and white artwork with lots of infos, pictures and little bedtime stories so that even deafs have their fun.

V/A - Bring Back The Vinyl 1994

A very good overview about the Sindelfingen/Böblingen (south germany) punk scene gave this little compilation with the wonderful album title. Published in 1994 by Bellaforte Records in bright turquoise vinyl and offers fifteen punk-rock-metal-hardcore songs of bands who were mostly unknown, which made here & there one or two demos and then disappeared again in whole wide punk universum. Pure underground stuff! The song selection here shows a lot of beer & spirits participated in the recordings and with nearly fifty-three minutes (famous for vinyl) and a thirty-two paged booklet inside makes this record absolutely worth buying/hearing. So here is something for everyone. Getting to know!

1.Ok Fred - WIZO
2.Astrogirl - DR.BUTCHER & THE MEATEATERS
3.Housemyster - HONECKER'S RACHE
4.Plasmatron - DIS:CONFUSION

V/A - Flops Of The Pops 1991

Ohhh, what a great evening I had, thanks to my friends (which was magic). Well, it's a tradition that a lot of punk record labels (mostly german, for example: AGR, Weird System, Double AA, etc...) use for their first publication a compilation LP. It shows in what direction the label goes & they prefer and what we, the users, can expect. Incognito Records put out their debut LP in 1991 and with bands from all over this planet. The label is known for their awesome '77 punkrock classics and they're always up for a surprise. As far as I know all these songs were not anywhere published and therefore this is plate a rare piece of round black vinyl, containing a 16-page booklet and at lasta pretty D.I.Y. cover. The eyes are satisfied and I promise you the music does too!

1.Hitchhyker - THE RAGS
2.Outside - WOMBELS
3.Aline - DIE SCHWARZEN SCHAFE
4.Rhedeg I Paris - ANHREFN
5.Rollercoaster - GLAMOUR GHOULS
6.Lottery - BROKEN TOYS
7.Mä Lähen Himaan - KLAMYDIA
8.Oy Oy Oy - THE PROLES
9.9 To 5 The World - THE LOUD
10.No.1 - PROBLEM
11.I Hate Cocks - DIE MÄDELS
12.Nackt Unter Kannibalen - THE LENNONS
13.Keine Zeit 18 Zu Sein - KULTHUREN
