L'ATTENTAT - Made In GDR 1987

Einen habe ich noch für heute and it's a real nugget. L'Attentat was founded 1985 in Leipzig and was one of the most radical representatives of their genre. 1987 came these recordings on illegal ways in the BRD and were banned by X-Mist Records on vinyl. I remember someone gave me a tape with these recordings and at that time it was something special, iron curtain, cold war, etc... and the sound is quite respectable, not usual in the 80s, but I became attentive and ordered to my surprise the slab via mailorder for five or eight Deutschmark and I'm glad nowadays that I still own them, released in a big fold-out poster sleeve with translated lyric booklet and the thirteen songs can be measure without a doubt with the shit of today. A solid rough punk record with unpolished and political goodies as it could probably only arise during this time. All scans with it, vinyl rip, 192kBit/s ... grab it!

THE HYNKELS - s/t EP 2004

Puh, yesterday was a chillin' one and I was not able to do anything. To the post: "We're Not A Part Of The Industry!“ is on the back of the one & only impressive EP (limited to 500) by this short lived band from Vienna. The Quartet is also very D.I.Y. and spits five awesome punk tunes between US Hardcore and early UK punk out my speakers. So the best ingredients are scattered! Simple structure content with a statement: "1-2 Fuck You!" and I love lyrics like this. The Hynkels can totally convincing. With humor and an adequate garage sound the band leaves all the mainstream scrap behind. So shall Punk Rock! Note: Unauthorised non-commercial public performances, broadcasting & copying welcomed! And so here it is: recommended....real honest.

LOST KIDS - Bla Bla 2 1981

And more record today by Copenhagen's Lost Kids and this is their second and last one, again on Medley Records and unfortunately the slab is not quite impressive as Bla Bla 1 and I play with the idea of selling them. The songs ripple without emotions and I am really disappointed, from the eleven songs are two or three really cool but the rest is lame and not my cup of tea, even a trumpet is used so what the fuck? Too much pop and the band lost their aggression and hardness. Well, somehow I had a different memory but now... listen best to yourself and write how you find it. I'm going to take a shower, then soccer and later a gig in the waggon. Cheers!

RÖVSVETT - Hunden Beskyddar Människan Men Vem Beskyddar Hunden 1984

Now a decent tape rip with the Demo from the Swedish Hardcore combo Rövsvett. Born on a hot summerday in 1983 in the little town Tranås in Småland. Frank and Jerker decided to ask Rylle and Löken if they wanted to form a brutal hardcoreband. The name felt natural since Motörhead, Ramones and Baccara already was taken. After many sweaty gigs with Rylle on guitar, Löken bass, Frank drums and Jerker on something that was supposed to resemble song, came their first democassette “Hunden Beskyddar...” in 1984. This CO² band is full with eleven ass-kickin' hardcore tracks and they sound much better than on their 7inches which can you get here. Rövsvett show that they were one of the best Swedish hardcore band ever and I like this sound a lot. A review from Septic Death singer Pushead: "Summoning Swedish insurgence that discharges a quick spasm of invasioning disorder and brawling vigor. Jerker's throat vibrates in growling wails as he wrings out a forceful vocal assault. Compelling guitar structures keep the action alive with hammering drum exertions, as these reels spin off alerting mayhem in that Swedish acceleration tradition. Good stuff to watch for. (Maximum Rocknroll #16, August 1984) - So enjoy this awesome Hardcore lollies and have a nice start into the weekend.

KARANTEENI - Anna Palaa, Frank!! 2001

Let's move to the cold north of Europe and meet Karanteeni from Tampere. The band was founded 1978 by Konttinen brothers Hate (vocals) and Rina (guitar). The band went through several lineup changes: a total of eighteen people have been members of the group. They released four great 7Inches and one full length album, all via Poko Records. Guaranteed 1-2-3-4 fresh melodic short songs that boost my body fluid and promotes my libido... Karanteeni split up in 1984 but still performs occasionally and since 2014 they are back again. On this little charming compilation are all their early stuff to listen and after just two songs the arctic cold disappears out of your ass.

- Great Thx to Marcus -

MDC - Millions Of Dead Cops 1982

If we talk about American Hardcore so is the debut of the Texas MDC unavoidable. Originally formed as The Stains in late 70s and they released a 7Inch on Radical Records (listenwhich already shows an amazing quality with two offensive smasher. Then the band also changed their name to a different initialism of MDC with every new record released. They play fast hardcore punk music espousing far-left sociopolitical ideals, with singer Dave Dictor expressing his animal rights, gay rights, transgender rights, pro-racial equality and anti-capitalist convictions. I have experienced the band several times live, last I think 2016 in the Au, and the dynamic and intensity of the recordings have always been exceeded and are always a pleasure, as well as this fantastic album, a milestone!, and together with D.R.I.'s first twenty-two song album (digi today) the best Hardcore slab from the states... convince yourself!

CORAIL - Comme Un Surfer 7'' 1979

One more rare 7Inch from France. In Paris are Corail at home and they released their sole record without an label, and are thus another band which no television sect, maybe a few, have them on their radar. No compilation contributions or other activities are known (except on the CD-R Je Suis Né Dans Une Poubelle by Get Baque Records GBR 25) and therefore as white as my wallpaper. Fact is, both lullabies kick decently, in which the flip is clearly the better one with its excellent dirty catchy mid-tempo beat. The a-side is a simple rockin' stomper with perfect guitars and a solid solo, four minutes must be filled.
