V/A - Beethovens Rache 1988

Bonn was the capital city of Germany a few years ago and it was time for a compilation with bands from Bonn and the label 'Bönnsche Ton' finally released it in 1988 (Another release have a green cover) and it has become a true gem. Eight bands in total and each song is a hit. FFF, Molotow Soda (Ex-Canal Terror), Rabatz to name a few are on it and some material is nowadays unreleased and thus rare. Today it's very difficult to get a copy and my vinyl here I have acquired at a record fair for a lot of money. Beethoven's Revenge is a solid German Punk sampler which can be proud of and my appreciation to the creators, nice artwork, detailed booklet, all included: Big One! In 2002 is one more record called 'Beethovens Alptraum' released with more stuff from the Bonn Punk scene. Long live Ludwig Van...

V/A - Tanz Mit Dem Herzen 1982

One request now and another one from my former Blog. It seems NDW music is still popular and this record from EMI is a premium blend of this time. Usually only well-known bands on it with their classics and the mixture of synth-pop and 'punk' is acceptable. Those were carefree times, I was young, went to school and first approximations to the Girls and trouble with parentsToday, life is the challenge. Well, the sound is still alive and keeps me fit. A bit of nostalgia for all end 60s. Take care!

THE DAMNED - Shut It 7'' 1996 & Little Miss Disaster 7'' 2005

So here now two limited singles by the London dark punk band The Damned and both are simply delicious. The Shut It 7'' single was only available in U.S. and was released to promote the Not Of This Earth album, recorded by a new line-up which featured long-term members Dave Vanian and Rat Scabies, and new members Kris Dollimore (Guitar), Allan Lee Shaw (Guitar), and Moose (Bass). Side A has the pure cut while the B-Side is The Krupps Mix, both tunes are awesome, next 7'' is from 2005 and was released via their own Lively Arts label in 2005, it was the band’s first single release since "Shut It" record. The band’s line-up shifted again, with Stu West making his recording debut on bass guitar for the group, having taken over on live dates from Patricia Morrison, who has begun to concentrate on her daughter Emily and managing the band. The song continues the style the band established for their Grave Disorder album, with their unique gothic/punk/psychedelic sound, fast guitars and swirling keyboards topped off with a dramatic vocal. From 11 November 2005, the band began selling copies of the single on their Little Miss Disaster Tour. The sleeve featured Emily Strange as a result of a collaboration between the band and the Emily Strange website. On December 1, the single was made available from the band’s website, with a limited edition of 1000 vinyl copies (with a red splattered vinyl pattern), and on CD. The B-side, a live version of "Anti-Pope", was recorded live at Manchester's Academy on 4. December 2004 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their album Machine Gun Etiquette.

BLITZKRIEG - Complete Disarmament 1984

Anarchy HC/Punk band from Alkmaar with their lone release on Manikaal Records. Twenty-One angry tracks, reminds me little to the English band but yet different. I'm not in the mood to write more, it's a good record and you can read a few reviews on the kfth page. Somehow I get not awake today. Better I go back to bed and watch a good movie, really bleak without football.

SEPTIC DEATH - Crossed Out Twice 2013

Another highlight of my collection is this superb following compilation of my favorite hardcore combo: Septic Death I don't know why I have them post earlier, it must be this double album that I recently bought on a small record fair for little money. The reason why I like them is their aggressive and hard sound, the drums are like a thunderstorm, screeching guitars, loud fat bass, and Pushead's exceptional, sick voice heats the whole right. Whenever I hear it I get positively. Since I bought the 'Attention' record which came out via Pusmort in the mid 80s Richy and I were immediately thrilled. I can remember they're also popular in the metal scene these days. Well, this unofficial release is a great Fanclub edition, fantastic fold out sleeve sleeve, includes lyrics, artwork, fliers and fotos. The double vinyl comes in two different vinyl colors. Handnumbered to 250 copies. Forty songs from the Need So Much Attention 12", Burial 7", Kichigai 7" and Theme From Ozobozo album and various comp tracks..... all within. Overall very lovingly decorated and a real Fan Edition. Have fun with it!

THE CHOSEN FEW - Really Gonna Punch You Out!!! 2001

Now an absolute highlight what I searched for a little while and now I'm of course very happy to listen to this awesome double album which was released via the Italian label Hate Records in an edition of 1000 copies. Thirty-Two Raw Bad-Ass Rock'N'Roll goodies are here for your ears and the description is no exaggeration. This record is a fuckin' blast! First full marks for knotless Artwork, gatefold sleeve and inside & on the back detailed liner notes from Ian Cunningham (bass + vox) and when I read that I'm really back in the late 70s and I can feel the vibes inside me which moving me to be a punker. This wild and rough music, the fat distorted guitars and the driving rhythms shoots in my blood such as heroin, pushes me so upwards I can not otherwise to despise damn radio music & MfuckinTV, all mutantsI tell you, whoever doesn't going on with this sound can lick my pretty ass, hahaha.... I will not bore with info about The Chosen Few, there's enough on the net, only that: On this are the tunes from their only 7Inch The Joke's On Us (A Few Production), a lot of rehearsals and finally eight live energy goodies from a gig in Auckland, all songs were recorded in 1978. And Yes, Ian: It's Shit Hot! This is really a superb re-release and I'm sure everyone who has it gives it not away.

THE UNWANTED - In Case Of Emergency Kick Ass 1983

Classic Hardcore tape from Canadian's Unwanted who shot out this demo tape in 1983 with thirteen rockets full of speed/punk/hardcore. A short bio from their MySpace site: "Original line-up formed back in the early 80's consisting of four fuck ups from Winnipeg who had a different take on where the punk scene was headed. The boys honed their craft over the years with many line up changes, and a lot of blood sweat and beer. The Unwanted did several tours, put out some vinyl, and established themselves as one of the highest energy combos to ever step on to a stage. Sadly in 1985 bad blood split the group." In 1984 their only record "Shattered Silence " was released by Better Youth Organization/Head Butt Records with eleven cool trashers. The Unwanted kicks really ass and this little sunshine is just the right music for a cooking session.

PILOTI - s/t LP 1981

Piloti (The Pilots) is a Serbian rock band from Belgrade. Formed in 1981 and initially immersed in the Yugoslav New Wave/Punk scene, the band later moved towards mainstream pop rock, they came to prominence in the 80's and early 90's as one of the leading pop rock acts in former Yugoslavia. Distinct representatives of the pop-sound, Piloti based their style on sentimentally coloured lyrics. After releasing six albums and one soundtrack the group disbanded in 1997. This is their brilliant debut album with ten fresh new wave songs with a touch of ska & two tone beats, very interesting and this record brings a good mood at breakfast and is by far the best album they ever made.

V/A - Aktiv PR 1981

Fantastic Swedish KBD style compilation with thirteen songs which was released by Pippaluckbolaget Records. Successful mix of punk and reggae can be found here, no failure, every song on its own kind brilliant. In between, some songs take the pace out but this does not harm listening pleasure, that's pure intention! Again I am amazed how many bands from Sweden ever conjured forth again. Fine piece of vinyl...

V/A - Class Of 81

"The Class Of 81 is a collection of the vast numbers of new and unrecorded bands around New Zealand, and Auckland in particular, at the end of 1980. The bands themselves were inspired by the anyone-can-do it attitude that the punk and post punk global revolution had encouraged. By the end of 1980 there were hundreds of young bands playing gigs all over the country, and, in particular, every garage on Auckland's North Shore seemed to be home to an aspiring bunch of pop stars. The album as such held together fairly well, partially because there was a definite generic New Zealand sound developing, a sound not a long way removed from what, a few years later, became known as the Flying Nun sound. There was an angular quirky feel, almost jangly, to much of this. But unlike the Nun sound, the Auckland bands had a slightly more dubby, a looser & funkier feel. The album, despite plans and a steady stream of requests over the years, has never made it to CD. Regardless of that, Class Of 81 has attained a rather legendary status now as an album that clearly defined its era in New Zealand, and in particular, Auckland, Rock & Roll." (Simon Grigg)
