Freshly regenerated and full steam ahead into the blog business with this hot record. The Lost Tapes is exactly what it is, lost recordings of this old danish punk band and this rare piece of vinyl was released in 2008, which was actually their first album, but was never released before and there only classics on it. Brats were from Copenhagen and formed in 1977 as a punk band. Original line-up featured Hank Shermann (real name Rene Krolmark, at that time known as Hank de Wank) on guitar, vocalist Franz De Zaster, drummer Eddie Haircut and bassist Mickey Rat. After recording songs for danish Pære Punk compilation, the band split up in 1979, not much later reforming as a heavy metal band with new members. So this album is one of my all time faves and if you listen to you know why.

SUBWAY - One Way Subway 12'' 1979
Last today with this rare gem and then is here one week pause.
Subway starts already as a famous hippie band from 1969 to 1972 and in 1976 they leave this image and do what they really born for: Punk! The group performs with wonderful nicknames like Pete the Screamer, Robbie Rauser, Pretty Paul Morelli, Mr. Tid Solo and Wes the Whipper. Performances take locations including The Bronx, on Punk Pop on Martinikerkhof during Summer Manifestation on July 29, 1977 and opening for Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers on 24 November 1977. Subway surfs along on the waves of the "Groninger Springtij", the country is going in and making records. National highlights include four performances in February 1978 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. A live recording "Working For The Company" appears on the compilation 'Keihard En Swingend!', with an action photo of Pete the Screamer on the cover. Through the Amsterdam punk label No Fun they released their first 7inch Jesus Loves Me. In October 1978, the group leaves for England for a tour. Their music is quite Rock'n'Roll punky and the rocking rhythm & blues sound is brilliant. The group visit Berlin and a tour following in the Netherlands. In 1979, the mini-album One Way Subway came out on Universe Productions with six ass-kickin' smasher with nice lyrics. In 1983 the group takes final leave on the My Generation Festival.
Have a great time, enjoy music and the Sun!

COSMIC PSYCHOS - Go The Hack 1989
A few hours left so an old post from my former Blog and Fuckin' Hell comes out with the second album by this awesome band from down under, I really love their sound: dirty, rough, simple, garagey punk rock & roll” that the band excelled creating. Cosmic Psychos is a punk trio which was formed in the late 80s. Originally, Bill Walsh and Peter Jones were playing in the band called Spring Plains, which broke up in 1985. That same year they invited Ross Knight to join the group and thus Cosmic Psychos were born. Robbie Watts replaced Peter Jones after the recording of the brilliant live Slave To The Grave album in 1990. After a long hiatusa, at the end of 2005, the Psychos went to the studio to record the new album "Off Ya Cruet!" with a new drummer Dean Muller that replaced Bill Walsh. After the shock about the tragic loss of Robbie Watts, it was an option to drop the brand "Cosmic Psychos", but Ross was overwhelmed by the grief and support of the fans, so he decided, with full support of Robbie's kids: "There's more beer to be drunk!" John Onya (from the Onyas) was chosen as the one to play the guitar as he has already been friend of the band for quite some time.
V/A - Sveriges Största Singel III 1983
Sveriges Största Singel was a mini serie of three records by Mistlur Records, again sold to a single price and full with more Alternative/Pop/Punk label bands. I listen much to the Raketerna album and I thought somewhere I know the last song on their record and found it here. Volume I I found quite amazing, and this compilation is as strong. Nice artwork with much information inside (in Swedish), you can discover the early new swedish sound of the 80s. Enough words, I must hurry because I fly off.
1.Hunger - STADION
2.Salta Diamanter - LOLITA POP
3.Lågsäsong - DOCENT DÖD
4.Staten Och Kapitalet - EBBA GRÖN
5.I Det Tomma Sessionsrummet. Studenten. Kanslisterna - DAGENS UNGDOM
6.Flyktförsök - DIESTINCT
7.Kärlek Och Hat - BRÄNDA BARN
8.Golva Mig - RYMDIMPERIET
9.Jagad Av Drömmar - RAKETERNA

MAD - Na Und! 1984
From Lucerne comes this wave/pop/punk combo called M.A.D. which existed in the early 80's. After the release of two solid singles they bring out their only album on MAD Records in 1984. A total of ten melodic punk songs with a light pop wrap, with sometimes critical global texts (nazis, war), serious topics about the page 1 girl in the daily press and personal views on love, death and devil (and I hate getting up early too). An interesting album indeed and they manage the leap between punk and pop (or NDW) with their brilliant ten songs and provide for entertaining pleasant mood. - Forget Your Past... Forget (even if it's hard) - So enjoy this rare classic.

AFFLICTED - I'm Afflicted 7'' 1979
One more piece from the Wanted-List. This rare record (Bonk Records) was made by a one-band band comprising Steve Hall which he formed in the late 70s. You can get more infos about the record and band on the great PunkyGibbon site. Two classic kbd goodies which bash in. It begins sonehow with live audience but I don't know if this is a live recording, if then this is a first-class live sound. Howsoever, both songs are terrific and maybe I should get even a full length album. So, now fast to the stadium for the last home game of the SGE in this season. Enjoy!

RAKETERNA - s/t LP 1982
Uhhh, Yeah, this is the right record for early in the morning. Melodic Poprock with echo guitars and quiet noises, Yeah, this is a fantastic record. A bit info about Raketerna, they were a group that played during the years 1979-1982. The Rockets was formed by Hasse (vox+guitar), Per (guitar+vox), Mats (drums) and Pelle (bass) from the split of the punk band Grisen Skriker (Pelle was later replaced by Peter) in Stockholm. They released a few singles, a 12'' inch and one full length album on the record label Mistlur Records. They toured localy with the much popular Swedish punk group Ebba Grön in the early 80's and appeared on some compilations. The band also featured extensively in the documentary short film 'Hemligheten' - A film about Hasse (Edström) and 'Johanna' from 1982 by Rainer Hartleb. So you have lack of sleep as I then take this album with a cup of coffee and enjoy every tone of it.

SJØLMORD - Holocaust 7'' 1980
Again in to Norway to a band which released their first single on Plateselskapet Mai with two funky punk tracks. Some of you might know the title track from the Anarki & Kaos: Norsk Punk Vol.1 compilation. They released in 1992 a second 7inch on the netherland label Cenotaph Records and Discogs describe this as hard rock style, I never heard it but these two cuts here are pretty '77 punk, not so snotty as some other early classics but worth a listen. About the band I have not much infos, only they were founded in Trondheim and they existed from 1978 - 1980, the name Sjølmord means Maritime Murder. That's all and if you know more feel free to leave your comments.
- Thx again to Fredrik -
THE YES-MEN - Fratricide 7'' 1998
The Yes-Men were a garage rock band from various parts of Australia and were formed by Sean Greenway (vox/git) in 1995. Greenway was pretty much a mainstay and large part of the burgeoning Melbourne underground rock scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Musically they were one of the most powerful Australian high energy rock'n'roll bands. If you like Aussie punk like me then this is essential. They are very close to the pulse of Radio Birdman but also had a cool modern thing going. Worth to check their MySpace site. Sadly Sean passed away from an accidental drug overdose in January 2001 and The Yes-Men did not longer exist. What a loss.
KAKA DE LUXE - Las Canciones Malditas 1983
From the cold north to sunny south, back to November 1977, a group of young misfits, calling itself the lightweight of the pin, which ranged from futuristic comic fanzines making, decided to form a band, inspired by the newborn London punk storm. Kaka De Luxe was founded in Madrid and were Fernando Marquez (Lefty), Manolo Campoamor, Carlos Berlanga (Dario Castro), Enrique Sierra (Sir Henry), Olvido Gara (Alaska), Nacho Canut (zinc Alloy) and Pablo Martinez. No member knew just sing or play, but wasted energy and provocation in some letters that passed censorship difficult time. They recorded an s/t EP in 1978 and in 1983 appeared, when the group had been dissolved, this album with the 'damn songs' which contained their first demos. Kaka de Luxe was very active and is one of the most important bands of the Madrid scene!

OUTO ELÄMÄ - Oi Maanne Suomi 1998
Here's another killer from Finland, Outo Elämä (Strange Life) was formed in late 1978 by Arto 'Otra' Romppanen (vocals, guitar), Juha 'Jussi' Hakulinen (bass) and Harri 'Jazz' Leppänen (drums). In early 1979 another first geneartion punk from the town of Joensuu (in eastern Finland), Harri 'Hape' Turunen (guitar) joined the group. The most productive year for the band was 1979 when they gigged around Joensuu and recorded a demo (this recording) produced by Reijo Heiskanen, the guitarrist for Hassisen Kone (the most popular New Wave group at that time in Finland). The material was written by Otra and was termed Rebellion Punk. The ignition and inspiration came from the climate of occupying and sqautting a house in Joensuu and standing up against such human grievances as racial segregation in South Africa. The working-class brats also gave the finger to opponents of economic equality. Adopting the left wing drive of the likes of Clash, Sex Pistols, Pelle Miljoona, Che Guevara, Bob Marley and a countless number of other leftie freethinkers, they let fly, occasionally getting burned but never losing the attitude. 19 years later, Alternative Action Records now finally released this awesome stuff and to say it with Orta's words: "I hope this release you're holding offers moments pf pleasure for all of you hardened friends of 70's punk who cared more for genuine attitude than superficial musical assets." I have nothing more to add except start the download right now.

CHAOS - Tribal Warfare EP 1984
Pogar was a small vinyl punk label in West Berlin of the eighties, which originated in 1981 in the former Berlin indie record store Vinyl Boogie. A total of about 50 different titles appeared on Pogar and this is Pogar 10. Chaos is one of these very unknown bands because they never release an official album, 1980 came their first demo out and then further a few tapes. In 1984 in an edition of 1000 their only vinyl here on Pogar Records. A compilation CD with all their recordings were released from Street Dogs Records and that's it. At that the 4 gents are not bad at all. Typical 80's UK punk sound in the vein of G.B.H, just a bit dirtier. Nice driving guitars, a decent tempo and a cool voice, really a lost nugget. What's next Baby???

V/A - Pesthauch Des Dschungels 1983
Absolute cult compilation with lots of bizarre punk bands. Released on Park Platten Records and is today much sought (a limited number of copies comes with a net and a set of cards). They range from punk rock, darkwave and a bit of experimental music. I like this diversity and this is why sampler are just made. It's a long time ago I listen to it and now I thought, I should post it. A true masterpiece I would say, very well done. Note: behind the "Die Ulkigen Pulkigen & Die Geilen Greise" hide none other than Die Ärzte.
1.Too Much Too Soon - CHIM CHIM CHEREE!
2.Die Einsamkeit Der Würstchen - DIE ULKIGEN PULKIGEN
3.1000 Jahre - DIE AUTOS
4.Lehn Dich An Mich - K.T.P.
5.Sator - ASMONDI BIZARR
6.Schweigen - EA80

THE BRAINS OF HUMANS - Game 88 EP 1989
Holy Shit, I have a big hangover and four gigs in one month is really too much.......but there is no better way to waste my time and yesterday it was once again a nice evening with wonderful people. Since I have not much lust to sit today in front of the computer just a little faster post by a band from Zurich with their only release I think, 2000 copies were made and we have 4 tracks, slightly metallic wrapping mixed with classic hardcore. The singer seems really pissed and lyrics like "Give Aids A Chance!!!" are very zynical & speak for themselves. This EP is awesome, comes fat if you want to start a day with drinking.

ALTERNATIVE - In Nomine Patri EP 1982
Last one for today because I'm in a hurry for Serene Fall/Klotzs tonight in Exzess so I stolen the info from PunkyGibbon (forgive me): "These Scottish anarcho punks first surfaced with the poppiest (and by far best) cut on 1981's execrable Bullshit Detector. “Change It’, lifted from their demo, was a pretty crap song, but it had a tune and the whole LP was so miserable that even this innocuous ditty sounded good. So, having released their first recording via Crass, they spent the rest of their career being compared to them. By the time of the In Nomine Patri EP, they had a second guitarist - Dougie McHale (Actives) - and Wilf had been replaced by Gordon 'Gogs' Smith. With the addition of another vocalist (Linda 'Linger' Rotherham) they then shared a split cassette with Dirt and Reality Control (Live 23.10.82 The Bunker), and underwent more lineup changes. The new band released If They Treat You Like Shit - Act Like Manure, an LP which is considered an anarcho punk classic. They split in 1986 after recording more demos with yet more personnel revisions."

SLEEPY SLEEPERS - Sinulle Äiti 1975
This is a complete surprise and I never heard of them and they exist since 1975 as Punk was still in its infancy. The Sleepy Sleepers were founded in Lathi + the band released 19 albums between 1975 and 1989. Sakke Järvenpää and Mato Valtonen were the main members of the band, later they founded Leningrad Cowboys. This is their debut album and here's a brilliant mix of Rock'n'Roll classics, nice ballads and fast dirty punk tunes. They describe themselves as a rock band and maybe they are so on their other albums Sinulle Äiti kicks the shit out of me and for the mid-70's they were surprisingly far in terms of a rough sound. What they sing is beyond my knowledge but their lyrics must not always family safe - it's written their records were banned on Finnish Broadcasting Corporation. This is not always bad, right?? Enjoy thirteen tracks of this exceptional combo.
- Special Thx to Fredrik -
COCKS IN STAINED SATIN - Hebephrenia 1987
Here again another pearl of Frankfurt's Cocks. After two EP's and a 12" this is their first full length album. All music were written by drummer Bernd Hasenfus (R.I.P.) so why this is called Hebephrenia. This album brings twelve very catchy choruses and upbeat riffs together with a slick production that keeps a raw edge. All twelve songs have a serious pop flavor which causes a cheerful sound and a sense of humor. I listen to them now and then I thought by myself: why not post? I'm a genius, haha.. The record was pressed in bloody red vinyl and is today very rare and hard to find. A fantastic punk goodie which is simply just fun. I love them - Fits every birthday or SM party.

THE SCABS - So Called Friends 7'' 1981
The Scabs are a Flemish band that were founded by Guy Swinnen (vox+guitar), Frank Saenen (drums), Fons Symons (bass) and Willy Willy (guitars) 1981 in Diest and had their greatest successes in the late eighties and early nineties. The original line-up of the band was composed in 1979. Strongly influenced by the British punk sound of the late 1970s; they were sometimes referred as the Belgian answer to the Clash. The first single 'So Called Friends' appeared 1981 on Refused Records. After two self-produced singles, the group signed a record deal with EMI. After the 12inch 'Here's To You Gang!' and the less successful debut album 'For All The Wolf Calls' they leave EMI and move to the new label Play It Again Sam Records, based in Brussels and released seven albums. 1996 the Scabs were history. On the occasion of the 25th band birthday they came together again, played a few concerts and in 2015 came their latest record 'Ways Of A Wild Heart' out. That's the short story. I like their first two singles best because these cuts are excellent punk killers, sound & rhythm = TOP!, cool voice and 'So Called Friends' is the absolute highlight for me. Rare record and one of my favourite piece of vinyl.
BLACK MARKET BABY - Baby Takes 1991
Oh Yeah, one of my favourite DC bands are Black Market Baby, I have their album but not the 7inches and like a revelation I get now sent this fantastic collection. Clear that it is my damned duty to confront you and this tidbit is worth every fucking tone. The name Black Market Baby was suggested by Keith (guitars) after seeing a trashy tv movie of the same name and the band were founded in 1980. The band's first record 'Potential Suicide' was released via Limp Records in 1981. Two years later their only full length 'Senseless Offerings' came out on Fountain Of Youth Records and is in my opinion one of the best US punk records, songs like 'Downward Christian Soldiers', 'Killing Time' or 'I See-You See' are grandiose played smasher, fuckin' rare record. In 1988 the band could not find a label to release the next album they broke up, playing a farewell gig in January 1988. In 1990 the label Yesterday And Today released two more singles, 'World At War' (Split with Bad Brains) and 'Drunk & Disorderly'. They loosely re-formed in 1993, playing the occasional show and recording sparingly before calling it quits again in 1997. So this collection was released by the Hamburg label Bitzcore and is full with bombs. A short review from the inoffical BMB site: "Half the Senseless Offerings LP and a bunch of stuff from '86—the unreleased material is some of BMB's strongest stuff, loud, punishing, hard-edged punk." - Excellent idea and certainly sell out very quickly, don't be a moron and make a choice.

TDK - Esto Es Una Empresa Capitalista 12'' 1985
Puh I'm really through, fantastic gig yesterday and can't wait to enjoy them again in Brighton. TDK (Terrorism, Destruction And Kaos) were a hardcore punk band born in Madrid, Spain in 1984. They exist about six years and released a couple of singles, an album and this 12''. Especially this record, managed to stick very strong in USA, where people from Black Flag and Dead Kennedys were impressed with the level shown by these guys. 80's spanish punk at its best by the underrated TDK, catchy punk rock with a dark edge, only comparable with Dead Kennedys or two of them previous band Espasmódicos.

V/A - The Label SoFar! 1979
This record is a request of mine and I'm glad I can listen now to it. Released by 'The Label' with bands that were there under contract and bring some good records in the grey world. A fine mix of nice songs and when you search for the solo records you realize that these things are rare and expensive, logically after 35 years. Fuck long drivel, so it's slowly time for the Chameleons concert here and now at 20:00 in Nachtleben and I cannot tell you how much I'm look forward for this damn cool gig....hhuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! and tomorrow no work because it's Feiertag!!! - Have a nice evening :)

CHIN CHIN - Sound Of The WestWay 1985
Chin Chin were an all-female group, formed 1982 in Biel, Switzerland. Although the band started as a trio, it was always the aim to recruit a lead singer and a second guitarist, but the search was to prove very difficult. Although there was a vibrant alternative scene in Switzerland, female musicians were virtually non-existent. There were plenty of girls wanting to sing, but few who actually could. The band would hold more auditions than the singers could notes. And although Chin Chin saw themselves as a punk-rock band, catchy pop vocals and harmonies played a big part in their songs, setting them apart from the other contenders in the process. Eventually, Carol joined the band as lead singer and Chin Chin's first and only EP "We Don't Wanne Be Prisoners" (containing 3 self-penned songs) was released in the summer of 1984 on the band's label Farmer Records. In 1985 they released their first album and it's a brilliant mix of punk-informed crunch and buoyant pop melody that shows Chin Chin as true pioneers of D.I.Y. noisy pop. As it happens this combination of DIY punk ethic, fuzz guitars and bubblegum pop was also gaining traction in the UK with the nascent C86 scene. The album become one of the most sought-after 80s indie-pop records and for good reason.

PARTIBREJKERS - s/t LP 1985
Partibrejkers (Partybreakers) is a famous Serbian rock group from Belgrade, as well as an acclaimed act of the former Yugoslavian rock scene. The band was founded by Zoran "Cane" Kostić (vocals), Goran "Manza" Bulatović (drums), Nebojša "Anton" Antonijević (guitar) and Ljubiša Kostandinović (guitar) in 1982 and released their debut album in 1985 on Jugoton and the special thing here is: this album was recorded without bass, fairly unusual for a rock band but the Partibrejkers take this hurdle. Their lastest album came out 2007 and I don't know if's the combo still active. Well, anyway....this cool record has twelve raw Yugo rock'n'roller which you must lend your ears.

OFF! @ Annandale Hotel/Sydney 2013
Let's spend some fuckin' great US Hardcore with this delicacy. Black Flag, Circle Jerks, OFF! The stations of frontman Mr. Keith Morris, the one with the best punk voice and as Jello Biafra, one of the pillars of american punkrock. I have all the records from his old bands and with OFF! he kicks another excellent example out what's inside him and I think the songs give us all a strong impression of living in the U.S.A., the land of the free. This bootleg is a highlight of 29 energtic songs in a brilliant quality with nice greetings to the audience and the band is hot. You can really feel the gig and I like every minute of this 30 minute H-bomb. In 2011 we had the chance to visit a concert in Wiesbaden and we both were just thrilled. I can really recommend anyone to join a OFF! concert, you will never forget it. OFF! are Keith Morris (vox), Dimitri Coats (guitar), Steven Shane McDonald (bass), Mario Rubalcaba (drums).

V/A - Nobody's Perfect EP 1986
One more rare record from my Wanted-List now. The first issue was released as Lasta-EP II by ST-Records in 1984 with different artwork and this here two years later on Leukemia Records. Musically, we are in Europe (except Bill Of Rights) and approaching a slightly aggressive sound that we all know as punkrock. I think the band names speak for themselves and every song is a typical representative of this genre: loud + rough + snappy! Each band puke in their natural language which I always enjoy, even if I don't understand a word. Four mid-tempo goodies and three short rapid heart attacks, what you want more? Probably appeared in small editions and hard to find... pull now!

KAARE OG PARTIET - Hakekors EP 1980
Ultra rare Norwegian KBD release by this awesome band from Hamar/Norge. Members were Ulf (vox), Svein (guitar), Arne (bass) & Trond and Bulle (both drums). This legendary one and only EP was the second punk release in Norway and what a blast!! Six classic tunes here with snotty guitars, brilliant pace and a rough, tough shouter. All sung in Norwegian and all together this little piece of plastic gives me the right early wild punk sound. They are also present on the Anarki & Kaos Compilation - Now come closer and don't hesitate with the download! You will not regret it, I promise :> And by the way, two members later formed Betong Hysteria.

THE STIFFS - Volume Control 7'' 1980
"From Blackburn in Lancashire the Stiffs started in 1977. Their first single 'Standard English' was released in early 1979 on their own Dork Records label. The much more impressive follow up "Inside Out"/"Kids on the street" was also released on Dork Records in December 1979 and both sides became instant favourites of BBC Radio One..s John Peel, who was quoted as saying on air that it was 'the finest record in the entire history of the universe'! EMI quickly snapped the band up and re-issued 'Inside Out' on their Zonophone subsidiary in early 1980. The single 'Volume Control' was released by Zonophone in November 1980 but it's lack of chart success prompted EMI to release the band from their contract and cancel plans for an album. They signed to STIFF Records in January 1981 for a one-off single 'Goodbye My Love' (a cover of the 1975 UK hit by The Glitter Band), whilst the band went out on a UK tour with the U.K.SUBS. Several line-up changes ensued, but the Stiffs didn't release another record until 1985 with 'The Young Guitars' 12", once again on their own Dork Records. After incessant touring the band folded in 1988, leaving behind a fairly large legacy of unissued material." (source: Still Unbeatable Records) - Two great PowerPopPunk smasher which demand your attention!!!!

STRICHER - s/t LP 1982
Only album by this german band on Rio Reiser's label David Volksmund Produktionen (which released especially in the early 80s some good bands/records). Stricher were founded in Berlin by Helmut Schweiker, Jan Selber, Jochen Hansen, Maike Christiansen and Siewert Johannsen and their record was produced by Rio Reiser. The LP is extremely hard to find and is nowadays a little expensive when you hold it in your hands. Musically, the band offers a consistantly good mix between Punk, New Wave and dark rock, some might say Gothic but I think that is an exaggeration. What excites me is the healthy mix of melancholic songs and hard numbers without being monotonous. Really a great record. Stricher fascinate and they prove this too on their following 7inch 'Rot/Morgen' a year later.
PERFECTORS - Journey To Mars EP 2010
A request from the babblestub and this is Wow! Four unreleased tracks from this awesome Welsh punk quintet that were all recorded back in 1979/1980. This beautiful looking EP has been pressed on the Japanese '1977' record label in a pressing of only 500 copies and they won't last long!! The Perfectors were an influencial punk/new-wave band, formed in Newport at the end of the 1970's. The Perfectors apparently had a big influence on a few bands that later formed part of the much publicised Welsh music scene. The Band eventually split up in the summer of 1980. Here we have four punk tunes which makes everyone power pop punk happy. Even essential their first 7inch YT502951D and the cuts on Bored Teenagers 3. Don't know who this sent in because it's relic from my old blog and a lot of water is flowed down the Main.

NRG - Aber Mein Liebchen 12'' 1986
This rare record is really amazing and I like it a lot. Very hard to find because it was pressed in a small editon. Here we have five strong punk tunes mixed in a catchy wavie sound plus the wild voice. Two 4 minute tunes, three short stirring tracks. Excellent!! Here's some info from their MySpace site: "Danish punk band NRG was formed in 1981 in the Copenhagen suburb Albertslund and existed until 1989. Their music evolved along the way from '76 punk and hardcore over free form avantgarde to a sort of paisley underground garage rock. They released the single Kulturel Forvaltning in 1984 and the mini-album 'Aber Mein Liebchen' (Hub Records) in 1986. Through all the years the band consisted of Kim Ingemann (guitar & vocals) and Claus Lindhardt (drums). Their line up was concluded with, in 1981-83: Erik Vosbein (bass) and Uffe Ejlerskov (guitar). In 1983-84: Uffe Ejlerskov (bass). In 1984-85: Soren Poulsen (bass) and Henning Malm (trumpet and garbagecans). In 1985-86: Uffe Ejlerskov (bass). In 1986: Emma Engberg (bass) and Lars Bjerr (guitar). In 1987-88: Henrik Geertz (bass). In 1988-89: Emma Engberg (bass) and Henrik Geertz (guitar). NRG moved base to Copenhagen in 1984 and performed regularly in the squatters' house Ungdomshuset and in the main rock club at the time, Barbue. NRG toured the main cities of Denmark and in Sweden, Russia and Uzbekistan. During 1990-1994 Kim and Claus rehearsed new material but performed only twice under the new moniker Shoom. In 1996 they had evolved into the project Shoom Unit". NRG can be found on Killed By Death #22 (coming soon) compilation. Don't hesitate to get this cool plate.

SPEEDTWINS - It's More Fun To Compete 1978
Like the other early Dutch punk bands are the Speedtwins musicians who have decided to do punk, and not those punks out who make music, as was the case during the second wave of punk from 1979 to 1982. Speedtwins is a punk rock band formed in 1977 in the Dutch city of Arnhem, east Netherlands, right next to the border with Germany. The Band members had Daniel and Vera Groen Jody on vocals, Jacki on bass, guitar and Leen Barbier Nico Groen on drums. With this lineup released the album It's More Fun To Compete! and two EP's. The name is a reference to a model Triumph motorcycle, created in 1937 by Edward Turner, a 500cc bike attractive to "lovers of speed". The album sounds fat for a punk band. Later that year the plate is in a different mix released by Philips. Philips also brings a single with a version of The Who's My Generation. In 1978, drummer Nico Groen makes the step to the formation Flavium blues. The occupation change with the musicians alongside vocalist Jody Carlo van Rijswijk (drums), Mike van Dalm (bass) and Peter Presser (guitar). Van Rijswijk and Van Dalm are in the same year replaced by drummer and bassist Theo Outhuyse Ton van Rossum. This releases the single occupancy 'Blackmail/Bomb In The Jukebox' and is among others shown in programs of Herman Brood and Teaser. Speedtwins comes to an end as the singer Jody Daniel died in a motorcycle crash in 1984.

THE MIX - Break Up Shake Up EP 1985
Here's a real powerpop rarity by a band from Nanaimo/British Columbia with their only record if I am correctly informed, released on the band's own Zoinks Records. Four wonderful mid-tempo songs which skip immediately into my blood, sing-a-long chorus, very harmonious and poppy. There's no failure, only hits...almost back to good. It's a request from Mr. Swedish Punk Fredrik and so here it is. Hope you enjoy this EP mate!

GENETIKS @ Waggon/Offenbach 16.04.2011
And now back to carefree days with this special live recordings from a band which were very sympathic & funny (so I found out) and my friend tvuzk invites us in those days to come in the Waggon to feel the real power of this awesome band. And Fuck, it kicks the shit out of me. The Genetiks from Nuremberg directed to a self-consciously noisy landmark in the German underground. In a free-floating mix of overseas and embossed Hardcore naiv-melodic New Wave of English origin, they prove to be a master of synapse formation, based on known, constant repetition. So that they move others in the vicinity of the Neue Deutsche Welle, which was better in their Dadaist approach to admit as many today. What it does, however, continue as Hubert Kah, are clearly furious views that do not want the context of the political and not drown not in the same pop-cultural cynicism. Musically and sonically the Genetiks are pleasantly elusive between Nomeansno, Fugazi, Bauhaus, and - to leave the name not to be huge - the undisputed kings of the Sloganizings surrogate. Not a bad neighborhood for this great little discovery. So I hope you enjoy this stuff and maybe you can feel a little bit from the great atmosphere in this pretty cool location called Waggon in a high quality sound - Beautiful Memories!

DEAD NITTELS - A.N.W.L. [Tape] 1982
This post is a request by R.W. from Linz and I almost forgot it but Reinhard remembered and so it should be. About the band there's some info there at Anti New-Wave Liga EP post or here and this tape (also known as green tape) are the first recordings, a rare, highly explosive combination of 22 rough songs. The Italian specialists Rave Up Records released a Dead Nittel-Werkschau with all the published songs of the early years called "Early Songs 1981-1983" (highly recommended). Viennese dialect coupled with aggressive sound, these are the Dead Nittels!

BRIGADES - Riot & Dance 7'' 1982
The Brigades are a punk band from Paris that was active from 1982 to 1989. This 7inch was released on the bands own label Rock Radicals and they come along with two nice melodic tunes. A band that was not lazy in their lifetime, four singles and albums prove it. I'm a little exhausted from yesterday's concert in Wiesbaden (I'm getting too old for such things, haha....) so take this record and enjoy the sun.

KLOTZS - Strafraum EP 2006
I have everything from Klotzs except this little nugget, so this was on my Wanted-List for a long time. For those who don't know what or who is Klotzs then click this button and ye illumined. A few words about their 6th EP here: The band is known for to wrap each of their plates in particularly extravagant artwork, wallpaper, laces and foldout sleeves already had to serve and for this 4-Track EP they use for the front cover a piece of artificial grass (splendid!!!). I think, they understand innovation really. Absolutely D.I.Y. and that's why I love them because they always have a surprise parat. To that a football sticker and a lyric sheet inside. Limited and hand numbered to 350 pieces and of course in green vinyl. No wonder, the EP were understandably sold out quickly (I got none). Musically, Klotzs is the punk-noise-band in Germany...unchallenged (there's no more to say about it). - By the way, they latest release 'Schwarzer Planet' is every penny worth and I promise; you will not regret it. Watch out for them LIVE!!!
