INFEKTION - Dimman EP 1981

Sole release by Infektion from Gothenburg and the band consisted of Krister (vocals/bass), Bengt (guitar), Mikael (drums/synth) and we listen to three different numbers. Dimman is an unspectacular rock song with a shallow tempo and suitable with a cup of coffee early in the morning. Hasch is an excellent reggae tune that is probably about enjoying THC, also recommended early morning and last but not least, 1 2 3 4... is a thirteen seconds smasher. A very catchy slab, exactly my taste.... and cool cover b.t.w. - This marks the beginning of the long Easter weekend, and I hope you do something nice, despite corona shit!

U.K.SUBS - Gross-Out USA 1984

Already the fourth live album of the UK Subs and this one was recorded @ Mc Greevys in Chicago whilst on tour in America during the spring of 1984, released via Fallout Records in two different sleeves; the more common pink on green colour scheme and a more rare green on pinkLine-up on this evening were: Charlie Harper (vocals), Captain Scarlet (guitars), Tezz Roberts (bass), Pete Davies (drums) and they throw seventeen classics among the American punx in an acceptable sound quality. A Subs slab is always a guarantee for a fantastic atmosphere, a good mood and always worth listening to, and the gents are still touring, and that for over forty years now... you shouldn't miss them.

SONS OF SADISM - Play Loud! EP 1985

Strange... but that's how it is written "S.O.S. were one of the first Skate-Punk influenced bands in Germany" and if this fits I don't know because I'm not a profi in terms Skate Punk and I can't open a drawer, so what the hell is skate punk? "I skate and listen to punk? I skate and wear skater clothes? I drink sprudel and I look shitty?" Fact is: Sons Of Sadism came from the Ruhr area and were damn cool Punx, active in the 80's and band members were: Jescho (vocals & drums), Helge (bass), Björn (guitar) & Tommy (vocals & drums). They released their olny EP "Play Loud!" on Double A Records in 1985, some in red & multicolored vinyl, and 1990 a split compilation with WUT (1000 copies) with all their studio recordings and a nice bandhistory (unfortunately, this album had to be sacrificed due to various money problems). Anyway, if you satisfied with this slab & you want them a-live, move over to tape attack and listen to a gig from 23.02.1985.

EWING OI - Mår Bra EP 1984 + III EP 1986

In the south east of Sweden, more precisely from Linköping comes this short-lived band. Ewing Oi was for a short while four members when Per Hertzberg (bass) joined. Then, when Anders Ekeros (guit/vox) left, they started to play lots of Ramones covers but it didn't work out and after many name changes the band recorded their debut EP in 1984 which was released by Eugen Records and was sold out quickly.

Three awesome punkrock goodies on it which have the dirty sound of the early times and two years later the band released a second EP named "III" just to create confusion (which was the purpose). And again four pretty 'Viking Rock'N'Roll' punkrock fuckers to heal the world. - The end of the group came in September 1986. One compilation track (Bodybuilder) was used on the Schweden-Punk Teil 2 cassette, a German self-release, which is certainly interesting. That should be it for today, see you again tomorrow.

ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE - This Is War 7'' 2011

During November 2011, the Anti-Nowhere League along with the UK Subs supported Motörhead on a number of UK dates and after this they came back with this brand new single. Great new song and unique version of 'Good As It Gets' on the backside. Released as limited edition of 500 copies on nice picture vinyl in paper cover with all lyrics and informations. I think, I must not tellin' you more about these UK punk veterans, every album proves their posture and energy heavy sound, so stop useless words and you have to move.

GOTLANDS TEATER - Rockpojken 7'' 1982

This record was released with two different covers by Noon Records. What we have here is pretty cool exotic music and I like these two songs. Rockpojken was called a show in large part to motivate the inmates to read books. According to Anders T Peedu, who held the show, had done prison studies that showed up to 95% of inmates in prison in Sweden never read a book. According Gotland Theatre website (gotlandsteater) has the show been played around the country, mostly in schools, since 1982. All roles are played by Anders T Peedu, who in his text on the website says that language is power, and that the key to a meaningful life in a rich language. The show is thus much about language and about having a rich language, but also to a large extent on precisely the importance of reading books. A great idea I think, that this record appeared and I don't know what he says but he does it very entertaining.

V/A - Vaultage 79 (Another Two Sides Of Brighton) 1979

BLACK FLAG - Everything Went Black 1982

Beware!!!! Now a damn classic... masterpiece... eleventh bid... multiple orgasms... passionate vibrations!!! Black Flag was one of America's first hardcore punk bands. They emerged from Southern California to gain international prominence, touring enough to become a major attraction in virtually every city where a scene existed and undoubtedly inspiring others to get in the game. Via the band's SST label, Black Flag played an essential role in the development and popularization of American punk. Through countless revolving door personnel changes — which spawned numerous spin-off bands along the way — Black Flag persevered until 1986, finally dissolving after locating and exploring the zone where punk and heavy metal intersect and overlap. Everything Went Black is an awesome compilation and was released 1982 through SST Records and comprises early unreleased recordings 1978-1981 before Henry Rollins became the band's vocalist in 1981, and was initially released without the group's name on its cover, due to their lawsuit with MCA/Unicorn. Instead, the names of the group members were listed on the first release. Three singer can we enjoy; Keith Morris/Ron Reyes/Dez Cadena and I would say; by far the best time for the Californians & I would like to add a small extract from a brilliant review"As if these recordings needed any more mythos associated with them! Although Nervous Breakdown would set the underground punk scene on fire, and wile Keith Morris’ sardonic, cagey delivery would go on to impress and inform thousands of future punk rockers, there was a scant four Black Flag tracks to his name prioer to Black. As Black Flag seemed to operate in cycles, the same could be said of Ron Reyes as well as Dez Cadena. Little did fans know that for each vocalist, there was nearly a full album’s worth of material- the same material mind you, but unreleased material none the less. Except it wasn’t quite the same material for each singer. Granted, almost all these songs had been released previously and many of the songs crop up two or three times on this release. But, Black was a boon in that it showed how each singer brought his own unique perspective to this material. This showed both the strength of the individual vocalists as well as the core material." Nothing to add I think. I personally prefer the Johnny "Bob" Goldstein era and you guess why, I have the Aggressive Rockproduktionen release and this vinyl-rip comes in refreshing 320k/Bit. Let's Pogo!

KARNAGE - Total Terminus EP 1984

Classic french punk from Clermont Ferrand and this is their only vinyl release. Three awesome tracks, first one starts with a classic piano intro and turned into a melodic wave tune, pretty dark, second a two minute warning and the record ends with "The Cops Are Coming", again a more wave influenced cut, overall lies a doomy touch in the air and the keys underline this. Great Stuff. Search also for their great track on the 1984: The Second compilation! French Punk Nugget :)
