TROUBLEMAKERS - 7'' Collection 1987-1998

This file includes three 7inches: the Göteborg EP ('87), the one-sided single Hjältarna Skålar I Blod ('89) and the Mammas Flickor EP ('98). You'll get good melodys, pace and classic Swedish punk rock'n'roll in the typical Gothenburg style, either way, it's exciting and powerful. Troublemakers were originally formed in Gothenburg in 1981 with members from Perverts (they often play "Ronka" live), Göteborg Sound, Attentat, Anti Cimax & TT Gardrob 100. After a while the band split up in 1991, but reformed in 1995. The band has been described as "kukrock" and compared with a runaway express train. While musical trends have come and vanished, Troublemakers have stuck with their straightforward rock'n'roll punk and Swedish lyrics. With roots in the early Swedish punk era, they have survived themselves and numerous of Swedish government ministers. Troublemaker’s trademark has always been integrity, joy and energy. In 2010, they were winners in the category of best Swedish Punk/Hardcore band on the Manifest Awards in Stockholm for their album "Made In Sweden". Seven full length albums, numerous singles and participation on various compilations have made Troublemakers to one of Sweden's most important punk bands. They've conquered five capital cities and have done more than 350 gigs around Sweden and in six European countries. They're still active and if they come on tour again I will not miss.

V/A - Dokumentti Todellisuudesta 1989

Released on SHJ Records, this is the second record by this Finnish label and included is the Ulo 29B fanzine with detailed information about all the bands. The A-side belongs to the Finnish hosts and is equipped with relative unknown bands but indulge the typical Finnish punk rock, ranging from melodic to hardcore, a perfect mix. The B-side is reserved for the rest of the world and here we meet already well-known bands such as Powerage or Troublemakers. Especially the Japanese Fuck Geez bash out a classic here and I think I have another EP on my hard drive if you should be interested. All in all a cool record with no failures and massive unknown stuff.

TROUBLEMAKERS - Vild & Vacker 1999

We stayed in Sweden and meet the Troublemakers from Gothenburg again with their third record on Ägg Tapes & Records with fourteen decent rockin' goodies and if you enjoyed the singles then the album will appeal to you as well. We enjoy catchy 90's Punk as it was presented almost everywhere at the time and that certain amount of mid-tempo Rock'N'Roll inevitably mixes with top notch Punk sound and I'm too drunk to let out any more words, besides being disappointed by people who say it was nice and confirm exactly the opposite but that doesn't belong here, it's purely privateIt doesn't matter, people are and will always be shit and this post won't change anything about that. Enjoy the record and don't ask why, it's useless anyway.

V/A - Birdnest Party 2002

Good morning everyone, I love to sleep long but who cares. Can't say much about this promo CD but it's a label release and was sold during the 'Birdnest Party Tour' 2002, not for retail sale. Swedish punk after the milenium and still refreshing and solid. Each band may perform twice, a healthy mix of old veterans and new heroes in thirty minutes, no filler and no bad smells and no naughty gestures and no porcelain teapots and no healthy Christians, devil worshipers and no bottledeposit and no bad weather and no hippies... enough blah blah, out in the sun with you!

1.Vandrar Vägen - MIMIKRY
2.Festival - UBBA
3.I Spindelns Nät - CHARTA 77
4.Stenar & Blod - TROUBLEMAKERS
5.(Gör Mig) Dum - JOHAN JOHANSSON
6.Dagen Efter - CHARTA 77
7.Die Mauer II - MIMIKRY
8.Mintkex - UBBA

TT GARDEROB 100 - Mitt Liv 7'' 1979

A real awesome record is the only 7inch by this short-lived from Gothenburg: Göran Lindahl (vox), Anders Puke (guitar & vox), Hasse Morgan (bass & vox), Tomas "Flash" Forsberg (guitar & vox) and Staffan Lindahl (drums). Two classic kbd smasher here and certainly one of the best Swedish Punk record of the late 70s. I can listen to 10 times in a row and the plate does not lose meters of soil. Really catchy and well played, TOP!!! There's a nice story about the band name in Peter's Encyclopedia Of Swedish Punk and I can't recommend enough to buy this book. The band finlly broke up in 1980, Anders played for a while with Troublemakers. The title track was used for the superb GBG Punk 77-80 compilation on Nonstop Records in 1986.

V/A - OX-Compilation #53 2003

The OX is probably the best-selling punk fanzine in Germany and I think they were the first who put music with their Heftschä, first as a 7Inch and then as a CD. This gives bands the opportunity to get to know a bit, or to promote new releases, of course for a little cash. The compilations are usually very well mixed, great covers and there is also much to discover. Here's # 53 with thirty-one fat punk rock blasts (and the only X-Mas song).

PERVERTS - Ronka EP 1979 + Nevergreens EP 1980

Active from 1978-1980 were this Gothenburg combo called Perverts. They released two awesome 7 inches on Dolores Records. Some info I found from the cool SwedishPunk site: "Lasse Dolores (bass) is probably the most important person for the Gothenburg punkscene. He was the one who imported the first singles to his magazine store "Dolores". So one day he found himself in a punkband: Perverts. The name was taken after a politican who said that "punks are perverted". Legendary BBC-DJ John Peel played their single "Ronka" (with Wadling on the one tone solo) who has to be one the most, if not THE MOST, classic punksongs ever in Sweden. Freddie Wadling (guitar) had a major role in the Gothenburg music scene and played in several bands, for example Cortex, Rukorna, Blue for Two (electro music), Lädernunnan (The Leather Nun) and The Mobile Whorehouse. Christer Blomgren (voice) today plays in Troublemakers." They featured on various compilations. Excellent KBD stuff!!!!
