Debut album by MFD from Washington, D.C. and the four, David (vocals), Richard (guitars), Tom (bass), Brock (drums) are also always welcome in my world. Twelve short melodic straight-ahead pieces with a real nasty, jagged guitar sound which hiss around your ears and where everything fits. This record is just fun to listen to and kicks your troubles into the universe of the night with a big head start, I guarantee you. And especially at four in the morning when your heart is pounding and your head creates only shit. Check it out!

MFD - All Of This EP 1987
For those of you who don't know who M.F.D. is, they were a mid-tempo, melodic punk band from D.C. who were active in the mid-to-late-'80s, rubbing shoulders with the likes of greats such as Government Issue & Black Market Baby, really catchy tunes that had one foot in punk and one foot solidly in rock. This EP was their first release by DSI Records in 1987. Melodic and intelligent DC hardcore, but closer to the GI's sound than to the other Dischord bands; they're expanding and improving the sound of their first LP without experimenting too much. Tight, tuneful, and songs that will be remembered. Great stuff.

MFD - Full Volume 1988
All right, one more great record from the States by M.F.D. and this is their second one on DSI Records and the album title says all: exceptional perfect punk smasher as I like it, short & dirty and perfect recordings. Because today is a football break and I have nothing better to do so I dedicate myself again to music. Here you get eleven stories of the very finest, I think, I bought the vinyl here on a record fair in Exzess for an acceptable price (I also have three singles and one I re-upp for you, the All Of This EP). Only manko, with twenty-four minutes playing time much too short. Who cares? Get this damn cool record or be a brussels sprouts.

MFD - Chapter 3 EP 1988
MFD are one of my favourite US bands and all their records are brilliant and they have no hangers or simple: no shit records. This is their third 7Inch on DSI Records with five blasts and if you prefer solid mid-tempo 80s punk you should not miss this damn good vibrations. You can find more about the band and other classics by clicking the orange letters, I think many is not clear why they orange are.... you fool. Anyway, it's time for breakfast and let's see what my refrigerator has inside.

V/A - Compilation Vol.1 1989
Now an underground compilation with much curious stuff. Besides the well-known bands such as Inferno, MFD, Bobwire and A.K.P. are here mostly young unknown German bands exclusively represented, and the sound range from rehearsal room recordings, studio and live cuts. Sometimes full of noisy tones which reminds me of cut a tree down, you know. The musical range goes from melodic punk to hardcore, one great wave song and always with a good portion tempo under the ass. Probably appeared in small copies and unfortunately no detailed information inside, hmm, that's something I don't like but fuck it! records are made to listen to it and not for read. I've bought the vinyl at the last record fair here and do not regret it. So here stands Volume 1 but I think a sequel was never released. Enjoy the music!
