V/A - Wargasm 1982

This record is one more nugget in my opinion. Thirteen songs against war. I think it was the first release about this theme. Except the Dead Kennedys are all bands from the UK. The music here is a special mix of punkrock with keys, orchestra & old school. To me the Poisen Girls track is fuckin' brilliant, the strings intro, the slowly driving up to the proper rhythm is famously, I get goosebumps...huh. Also Captain Sensible's "Hey Jo" is a killer too. After The System on the 1st pressing of this record is a hidden track by The Insane. It wasn't supposed to be included & was deleted on later pressings. A great sampler which is unequaled on Pax Records.

HATE CREW - Silent Rage 1987

Also this band is completely underestimated in my opinion and deserves more attention. Hatecrew were founded in 1985 by four old friends and all played in other bands but they wanted to do their own thing. So after a few gigs and cuts on tape compilations they released one record on Punk Etc. with thirteen decent hardcore smasher. One of the albums that I exchanged for other plates, I'm not really sad about it but after hearin' again I must say maybe a little. Anyway, it's a good production with a cool info sheet within and their last vinyl output is found on the Threshold compi. - Lend them an ear

CHAOS Z - 45 Jahre Ohne Bewährung 1995

When this new album of my favorite band from Stuttgart Chaos Z was announced that time, I was absolutely excited. Ohne Gnade, the hardcore masterpiece from 1982 on Rock-O-Rama (the best record of this label) was an eternity ago and everyone knows that the band is now called Fliehende Stürme. 45 Jahre is complete written & recorded by Andreas Löhr, brother Thomas unfortunately died during this time, and has the fresh energy of which other bands of the 90s can only dream about. Critical statements packed in thirteen hits. As far as I can remember, the CD was released first because otherwise I would have the vinyl, 100%ig. As a small bonus, I added the two goodies from the Punkinvasion II compilation in this file. Now I have to open a beer... Salute!

ORANGE JUICE - Blue Boy 7'' 1980

Second single by this combo from Glasgow on Postcard Records. Orange Juice was founded in the Glasgow suburb of Bearsden as the Nu-Sonics in 1976 and they released four albums and a dozen 7Inches. At home in melodic new wave sounds and they deliver here a solid record which warms me now on this cold sunday (was also a long fuckin' time on the Wanted-List)Somehow I'm extreme sluggish and dull today. Anyway... maybe later more

BAD RELIGION - Even Worse EP 1991

A band that me highly impressed in their early days are the 1979 in Los Angeles founded Bad Religion and their first three albums (without Into The Unknown) are quite milestones in the U.S. Punk rock history. I think, I must not much report to the band, you can read a lot of them anywhere in the network. This small soundboard bootleg here was recorded live somewhere in Germany in 1988 and the quality of the eight songs are consistently brilliant. It is a pity with just under twelve minutes the whole is much too short. But here is clearly heard how diaphoretic was a Bad Religion concert in these days. After the release of Album #4 'No Control' I lost my interest in the band because they become too big and had still less to do with snotty punk underground, you know.

KEVIN SHORT & HIS PRIVATES - Punk Strut 7'' 1978

Kevin Short is the leader of Kevin Short and His Privates who are responsible for EMI's cult 70's classic 'Punk Strut' and this has become a mega interest around the globe because of its committed performance of both: band and Kevin Short. He has now reformed the band and made the award-winning film 'Punk Strut - the Movie' in 2010 and they recorded an album too, after thirty years, along with the film. I myself have not seen the movie but what I will catch up immediately. The title song is also on KBD #100. Here are two real KBD grenades and don't miss this feel-good record; you'll punk strut all the way home.

THE BOIKOTTZ - Punk Wird Leben EP 1984

First release by this Hamburg punk band on the Berliner AGR label and its very hard to find this damn record. Three dirty groovy numbers, one in German and two sung in English. The title track is clearly the winner. Lyrically brilliant and still very current. The other both on the flip are not bad but here I miss the aggression and the fury from the titletrack, but they're are okay too. I do not know how many times I was outbid on ebay but thanks to both friends who look at the search list and sent this awesome copy to me. And I'm happy to post this record here. They released three albums and the first one will comin' soon. So now enjoy these old goody tunes from the 80's. Cheers!

WHITE FLAG - WFO 1985

Third album by White Flag, based in Los Angeles, which appeared on the German label Starving Missile with seventeen speedy numbers which excellent bash in. More is not to say because I don't want and wanna go back in my bed (don't get rid of the flu). The band exists since 1982 and is still active. So buy their records and enjoy their kind of west coast sounds.

LOOSE PRICK - Valkoiset Sotilaat 1980

Four middle-class kids and the magical year of 1977. Three, a maximum of four chords. Ring skill is not named, but the attitude even more. Badges can not be wrong, Loose Prick were born. This first album (called 'The White Soldiers') was recorded after midsummer in 1980. Self-produced, thirteen classic songs in five days. That's what I call PunkRock.. what do you think? Read the full bio on the great finnmusic page.

V/A - Awup! EP 1990

One more gem with more unpublished songs is this little german compilation which was released on Unsere Kleine Welt Records. Three bands, three songs. First the Bonner Präservative which brings us a song of the advantage of using a hearing aid in a funny way. Next Walter 11, the band from the Spermbirds sphere, brings with 'Goodbye, Hans-Peter' a traditional farewell song for the best football Defenser which leaves the football club FCK to play in the italian soccer league, and is a truly punk pearl, and finally The Wombels with an absolute blast piece that describes how cops dressed in women's clothes waylay punkers in the park. One of the best songs by this awesome band (unfortunately, singer Steff died on 17.07.2015, R.I.P.) - All in all three cool punk anthems which should not be missed at any party.

1.Das Kleine Hörgerät - DIE BONNER PRÄSERVATIVE
2.Leb Wohl, Hans-Peter - WALTER ELF
3.Psychopath - WOMBELS
