V/A - Forward Into The Past [Special] 2012

Two years ago I created this selfmade compilation and the feedback was quite positive and at that time everything in my life was perfect. Now I'm still going through hard times, especially now where Katja's death for the first time approaches. I miss Her so much.... In order to commemorate Her I post this wonderful compilation again, because of the beautiful times....my former description: November is long, cold and gray, I found enough time to sit down and create a new compilation with rare, partly unreleased punk tracks. My sincere thanks go to all who support this blog with their awesome stuff and lovely words, you know who you are friends! Furthermore, a greeting to all my blog friends (don't stop postin' cool stuff) and finally to all who have left their comments.

V/A - Punk ¿Qué Punk? Vol.2 1994

DRO, an independent now-defunct spanish music label, released this compilation in 1994 and were famous with mainly lots of releases of Spanish new wave groups, from pop to punk to industrial. The label was bought in early 90's by East West, due to financial problems. It was by then a main stream label already. The label was founded in 1982, with the first release of Aviador Dro, a minimal electronic pop band from Madrid, Spain. And here they have released another highlight, perhaps the last useful publication, from the sunny south of Europe into the world, and it is a gem. 14 Spanish-Punk-Rock-Grade A. After Volume 1 has already been a killer follows with part two the essential sequel. The songs were recorded between 1983 - 1992 and again they show that Spain also had a colorful active underground scene. A colorful mix of all punk-styles can be heard and blessed are the makers...cooles Teil!

V/A - Punk Will Never Die! 1994

The next compilation brings us punk rock from around the world and let us see what the 90ziger had. The LP was produced in collaboration between two very good German labels, Höhnie Records and Nasty Vinyl, and the result is another superb selection of damn good punkrock songs. It's difficult for me here to put any band especially highlighted because all participants deliver here first class stuff.. Interesting especially the exotics from the Philippines and Colombia, I mean that's true punk underground and who can say from these countries have many records, unless you live there. Another plus is the beautiful elaborate booklet inside which is a poster, full with lyrics, pictures and contact informations...I like that! - Musically is here is anything from melodic punkrock, hardcore and funny tunes. Try a song and you know what I mean. Very good record from Germany with awesome music.

V/A - Killed By Death #24 1999

If you're looking for more old punk stuff then you lucky, your search stops here. After a bit of a breather in the swarm of Killed By Death comps issued, this one comes as a breath of fresh air. A good mix of never-before comped bands and uncomped songs by bands we all know and love, mostly here from Europe & the USA, consistently a further essential worthwhile punk compilation. After the first listening by this piece of vinyl I felt every song would go over 3 minutes and that's quite unusual for a KBD sampler but what makes this a special one. At this stage of the compilation game (mid 1999) it would be near impossible to put out an LP of mostly unknown killer material from 1977-1981. There's still some number of LP's worth of material that could (and likely will) be released and this record will compare well to most anything else to follow.

13.Chinese Boys - ZERO ZERO
14.I Used To Know You - NCM
15.Electric Chair Execution - THE STUDS
16.Abortus Vrij, De Vrouw Beslist - BASTA

V/A - The Sound Of Hollywood [Girls] 1982

This LP was the first installment in the underground label Mystic Records “The Sound Of Hollywood” series which documented underground bands in L.A. and this edition focused on female-fronted groups, dominated by punk acts shows this pretty record cool female bands from the west coast. "As the title indicates, this album consists of bands from greater LA with a prominent female component. Musically, it's a mixed bag of styles ranging from punk (SIN 34, DE DE TROIT) to garage (I.U.D.) to various forms of pop (the L.A. GIRLS, TOXIC FUMES, the SKIRTS, HOT FOOD TO GO) to warpo country (the SCREAMIN' SIRENS) to awful hard rock and heavy metal (BUTCH, HELLION, BITCH are awesome, SOLOMAN KANE). No one will like it all; the question is whether you'll like enough of it to make it worth buying." - Jeff Bale (from Maximum Rocknroll #10, December 1983)

V/A - Belfast Rock 1978

One more superb compilation here and this time we head to Northern Ireland and see what's going on there at the end of the 70s. From this small part of Ireland came a number of very good Punk & Powerpop bands and their singles are nowadays extreme rare and highly coveted by collectors (It's no different with this album). A few months ago I posted the first Bloodstains Across Northern Ireland record which is damn good and more punk you know. After listen I thought I have more stuff from this area and I find this goodie and since I have ripped the plate several months ago so it could appear here. Released via Rip Off Records shows this stuff a good mix of pretty decent guitar sounds, partially published as 7inches. The only deficit: no info sheet but we live in modern times so visit irishrock for details about the bands. In 1980 the label Shock Rock released another compilation called simply Belfast which is also great. That's all from me for today, wanna move to bed now, tomorrow is another hard working day!

V/A - Illegal By Choice EP 2011

Shit, it's so fuckin' cold and I have a big big hangover, bbrrrrrrrr.... - so the right time to stay at home and post some awesome records. Next one is created in collaboration with Punk Illegal and the No one is Illegal Network (Ingen människa är illegal) and this ear-splitting benefit compilation for hidden refugees comes out by De:Nihil Records and you should be warned! 6 Bands, three countries are here on it and all tracks are previously unreleased. All loud as hell and with the aim to raise as much money as possible to the No one is Illegal Network and their work for a world without borders. Well, I have a different opinion about it.... all songs are great songs and a very well done record.

V/A - Soundtracks Zum Untergang 2 1982

One of the best compilations ever from Germany are the first two AGR goodies. All bands are great, all songs are damn classics. With these both I grew up. The music is just sensational and the lyrics quite offensive, creating real doom mood. I don't know how often this sound shows me that I'm on the right track (haha) and I mean together with the 'Keine Experimente' compilations from Weird system are these four records the most important and best plates which were ever published here in fuckin' germoney. I think the resonance overseas was accordingly positive. Today this record is re-released but the band name from the Böhse Onkelz was deleted... pitiful if you ask me, but that's another story. 19 glamorous tracks from the good old days and incidentally a request of a good friend is fulfilled. GET IT!!!

V/A - Killed By Death #20 1998

Another Killed By Death round is opened and again with tons of early rare international punkrock blasts. 700 copies were pressed on black vinyl with plain pink labels and a few on pink vinyl with white labels and full liner-notes on the back. A damn hot good LP of previously uncompiled material. Nothing too crappy here. I guess all those Cads EP's people couldn't trade or sell before will suddenly be hot items. The idea of taking good tracks from compilation LP's full of otherwise uninteresting material is a good one. That should be good for a few more KBD volumes [half text stolen :>]!!!!
