Dear friends, it's been a while since I've been active here, but I've been very busy with myself and a whole lot of crap that made it impossible to create anything meaningful. Today I'm finally home and I feel like posting a short musical masterpiece, and all re-upload requests have also been taken care of. The trees are turning green and the temperatures are rising, time for positive vibes, and I'm coming with some Punk-Pop at its finest. The Buzzcocks are now on the turntable and the band were formed 1976 after a Sex Pistols concert in Manchester and are undeniably the pioneers of PopPunk, considered influential trailblazers. Their brilliant combination of Punk energy with catchy melodies and lyrics about love and frustration significantly shaped the genre. Another Music In A Different Kitchen is their fantastic debut and was their first after the departure of original singer Howard Devoto and the arrival of Pete Shelley as lead vocalist. The line-up on these recordings consisted of Pete (vocals/guitar), Steve (guitar/vocals), Steve (bass), John (drums). You can find reviews or more information about the record yourself; I still have a bit to do and have to leave again soon. - They made three albums before their breakup in 1981, all good, and in 1989 they reformed and have been active ever since. Achja, don't miss the excellent Compilation Total Pop, which was immortalized in 1987 by the Hamburg-based label Weird System.
Stay upright and enjoy the music!
