WHITE FLAG - Bleedin' In Sweden EP 1986

This one's was from the Wanted-List long time ago and I can't remember who wants this. Anyway, White Flag again and after playing numerous shows around California, the band toured Europe for their first time in 1986 and released this little Live! EP from that tour titled "Bleedin' In Sweden". All songs were recorded 7th June 1986 @ The Yang & Yin in Gavle and released on Punish Records. Seven Songs in a good quality and if I listen now I'm in the mood for a concert. Full of energy, wild and loud, just the right atmosphere and I can imagine how cool this gig was. White Flag is a fuckin' cool band. Get their second album WFO as well and now buy your ticket to Moscow and visit the President.

V/A - We Don't Need Nuclear Force 1985

Another important but small German punk label was Mülleimer Records from Stuttgart which put out some very good records from 1981-1986. Bands like Chaos-Z, Boskops, Normahl, Herbärds, Inferno and Maniacs, etc.. were thus known and this piece I think is the only international compilation on MR. The first pressing contained a strictly limited bonus EP and is much sought nowadays. A little review brings the sound to the point: "A pretty good world sampler featuring mostly previously released material that falls under the ranks of punk, hardcore, and post-punk. Some of the talents in the limelight are BOSKOPS, VARUKERS, TOXIC REASONS, RATTUS, WHITE FLAG, BRISTLES, and many others." - Martin Sprouse (from Maximum Rocknroll #36, May 1986)

V/A - Try A Dull Knife 1983

Today a request and for a short time on the Wanted-List. Try A Dull Knife is a rare C60 tape compilation from Version Sound with bands who received little attention and are not necessarily at home in Punk, with a few exceptions. This dull knife cuts with power and energy and I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of tapes because the sound sucks mostly. This is of course also due to the ripper and the quality of the recordings, but I can really get friendly with this part. White Flag is the only combo I know and made it to further releases while some just made it only to a 7Inch or only on other tapes. Interesting selection in any case and partly also takes getting used to but an important audio document of American subculture.

WHITE FLAG - Sgt. Pepper 1987

A decent record is this litte compilation with songs from the 'Zero Hour' and 'Wild Kingdom' albums by White Flag from Los Angeles and I guess it was pounded up for the European or Asian fans, who knows? Fact is, all sixteen songs are damn cool and they don't lose their great sense of humor and writing good music. More stuff in form of an EP and another album waits under the hidden orange crime scene marker. It's fun to post again with the new monitor and I should have exchanged it earlier. Sometimes it's the small changes that brighten your mood.

WHITE FLAG - WFO 1985

Third album by White Flag, based in Los Angeles, which appeared on the German label Starving Missile with seventeen speedy numbers which excellent bash in. More is not to say because I don't want and wanna go back in my bed (don't get rid of the flu). The band exists since 1982 and is still active. So buy their records and enjoy their kind of west coast sounds.

V/A - Killed By Florida 1998

"The music on this record was and is of no Consequence. The fact that we'd press this record gives you some kind of idea in what esteem we hold the tastes of its potential audience and what kind of value we place on our own time and energy. So, with heads hung low, we timidly present to you Killed By Florida." A whole album from Florida is stretching things just a bit. This one extends the usual KBD period up to 1985, including some awesome punk bands. The inclusion of the world's greatest, amazing and most incredible punk band ever (The Eat) is alone worth to get this bootleg collection. Also the other bands here kick strong every fat ass and shred purely good. Again many more rarities for our little punk hearts on it and definitely worthwhile. For me, a further evidence that a KBD volume always requires a financial investment, LOL!

V/A - Smashed Again!!! [Special] 2013

It's time to post another selfmade compilation which I made for our vacations and it gets me very sad but I think you will like it. Here's the original description from my old Blog: I'm still amazed that Forward Into The Past is yet popular and is still online, shows that you have taste ;). I also think that comp. is well done and a worthy successor was a real challenge. But here it is: again full with rare music from the early punk days mixed with new stuff, punkrock from all over the world. V/A - The Spirit Of 69 (Oi! Classics Vol.2) 1994

This fantastic Oi!/Punk compilation comes from the German label Street Kid's Records and they released two Volumes of this serie in a limited edtion. The first is called The Bright Side Of Oi! and before you ask, I haven't this LP, maybe someone out there. The tracklist is dazzling and most of the bands/songs are certainly known, mostly published in the 80s. Your ears get here classic Oi! and early punk rock from around the world. No failure, only hits - A MUST HAVE!! And now Champions-League, good luck...
