RÖVSVETT - Hunden Beskyddar Människan Men Vem Beskyddar Hunden 1984

Now a decent tape rip with the Demo from the Swedish Hardcore combo Rövsvett. Born on a hot summerday in 1983 in the little town Tranås in Småland. Frank and Jerker decided to ask Rylle and Löken if they wanted to form a brutal hardcoreband. The name felt natural since Motörhead, Ramones and Baccara already was taken. After many sweaty gigs with Rylle on guitar, Löken bass, Frank drums and Jerker on something that was supposed to resemble song, came their first democassette “Hunden Beskyddar...” in 1984. This CO² band is full with eleven ass-kickin' hardcore tracks and they sound much better than on their 7inches which can you get here. Rövsvett show that they were one of the best Swedish hardcore band ever and I like this sound a lot. A review from Septic Death singer Pushead: "Summoning Swedish insurgence that discharges a quick spasm of invasioning disorder and brawling vigor. Jerker's throat vibrates in growling wails as he wrings out a forceful vocal assault. Compelling guitar structures keep the action alive with hammering drum exertions, as these reels spin off alerting mayhem in that Swedish acceleration tradition. Good stuff to watch for. RÖVSVETT - Den Falske Kakaoinspektören 1994

Rövsvett are a Swedish combo from Tranås and active since 1983 and are one of the oldest Swedish still active Punk bands and this is their second album on Birdnest Records. Over the years, their line-up changed and amended several times but the guys are known for their hard aggressive Hardcore and released some interesting tapes and records in the 80's. This is their secod album with fifteen solid numbers in a very production and they blast decent and you can't escape. You can compare these recordings with their demo tape from and you will find that they have not become worse. Well, everyone who likes fast and solid hardcore will get the best service here and shouldn't shy away from downloading it, everyone else too!

V/A - Step By Step EP 1989

Superb compilation on No Time To Be Wasted Records with six bands from all over the world. The first step took Soothsayer, a Canadian thrash metal band from Beauport/Quebec, founded 1985 and released four albums to date, last from 2019. Swedish Hardcore's Rövsvett were formed in Tranås 1983 and are already well-known guests in this theatre, numerous albums and 7Inches are available, the last came out this year. Leeds based speedie foursome Pleasant Valley Children formed in the late 80's and have released two tapes and one album, as well as a 7inch and compilations, the album's from 1991 and their last sign of life, I guess they broke up in the early Nineties. Patareni is a Hard/Grindcore combo from Zagreb and founded sometime in the early Eighties. Also very active on vinyl; five albums as well as numerous 7Inches and two tapes were recorded by 2021 and thrown among the people. Cat-O-Nine Tails was a HC/Punk act from Schrobenhausen and were active late Eighties to early Nineties. In their short lifespan they released two albums, one single and one tape. An established combo may spice up the grand finale: the Hard-Ones from Sydney, who delight us with their melodic Punkrock since 1982 and I think you know how many albums and singles and t-shirts and towels have been scattered over the world and an authentic live recording completes the march through this stage. - What is there to hear? A varied slab with six different hiking trails that leave little time to rest. Presented in a lovingly elaborate gatefold-cover, lots of infos/lyrics and on red/yellow vinyl, partly in a limited edition. Superb!
