FIENDENS MUSIK - A Boot Right In The Face 7'' 2014

Slyngel Rekords stands for rare Swedish KBD nuggets, released on colored vinyl and mostly in a limited edition of 300 copies. Slyngel #008 is dedicated to Fiendens Musik, a combo from Lund and started originally as cover band, but quick evolved writing their own songs inspired by the upcoming Punk & New Wave explosion at the end of the Seventies. The band did under a short time four singles and two albums. "Fiendens Musik arose in the gap between the Swedish prog movement and Punk. The result was a raucous and thunderous rock to Swedish lyrics with a strong touch of reality. The band tackled topics such as everyday racism and unprovoked street violence decades before they hit the public agenda, and always with self-perceived lyrics. They struck right and left, with the same sharp irony against square progs and left-wing activists as against young moderate upper-class fashions. The band's name was taken, typically enough, from a Maoist pamphlet against rock music - this capitalist abomination - entitled "The People Can Never Win to the Music of the Enemy". Pompous nonsense to which the Enemy replied with an ironic wink." These two songs were recorded 1979 and are probably outtakes that didn't make it onto the first album, so both perfect for Slyngel's rare 7inch Collection. đź‘Ť

FIENDENS MUSIK - Häftiga Hästen & Andra Äventyr 1980

Second and final album on Bellatrix by this band from Malmö and damn, they've defused their music a bit and the songs have a more poppy, almost boring sound or something like that, Swedish folk?? Compare these recordings with their first LP and you know what I'm talking about. Why do I post them anyway? Quite simply, why not. For one thing, Fiendens Musik is a good band, on the other hand there are certainly some of you who like this, doesn't always have to be hard, loud & fast, and the cover is great - Anyway, last one today but I promise tomorrow it will be nasty, enjoy the weekend!

FIENDENS MUSIK - En Spark Rätt I Skallen 7'' 1978

Fiendens Musik (Enemy Music) are a swedish punk band from Malmö, founded in 1977 by Mats Zetterberg and Mats Bäcker as a rock band in Lund which originated as a pure cover band, quickly developed when they began writing their own songs, inspired by early punk, pubrock and New Wave. The first single, "En Spark Rätt I Skallen (A Kick Right In The Head)" was released on record label Bellatrix (ca. 2300 copies) in Malmö and was the band's breakthrough. The band stood between the old Swedish folkmusic and the fresh new punk. Stage performances were characterized by a high tempo, fast songs, pounding guitars, bellowing sax and a frantic stage show with musicians who literally fell over each other. F.M. played together with bands like Ebba Grön, Dag Vag, Grisen Skriker, TT Reuter and others in the punk movement that they did not belong, but sympathized with. They released in a short time four singles and two albums, the band's composition varied slightly, but the most important members were Mats Zetterberg (vocals), Harry Schiffman (guitars), Mats Backer (sax), Peter Kempinsky (guitars), Ulf Karlberg (bass), Ingvar "Krupa" Nilsson (drums), and Karl G. Jonsson (texts & design). The band's name refers to criticize the publication "The people have never won the enemy music" which was published by the Maoist October Publishers the same year that the band was formed.

FIENDENS MUSIK - s/t LP 1979

Here's more rare stuff from the three crowns country and with their debut 7inch 'En Spark Rätt I Skallen' the band break through. Fiendens Musik is located at the intersection of punk prog rock. Although they came to life late 1977, just punk begins, so let them not quite as punk, but somewhere between prog rock and punk. But good was it anyway and it does not prove at least their first album which is one of the best punk records released in Sweden. Their debut is just as cult as the plates at any time with Ebba Grön, KSMB or Attentat. Most of the songs on the album are incredibly good fast punkrock. Stand out a little plate making local radio, which is relatively quiet in comparison with the surrounding grooves. If you've never heard anything from the band before, you must immediately throw you over the song "En Spark Rätt I Skallen", a kick right in the shells. Fiendens Musik has also released a second LP called "Häftiga Hästen & Andra Äventyr" which also has some good punk songs. Perhaps it could be a future project to provide it for incorporation into the Past? (Patrick Carlson)
