C.C.M. - Live In SO 36 1988

It's getting loud and ecstatic on wdthtc, because an awesome live slab from Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers, or simply C.C.M. (the band name was a tribute to the Dead Boys guitarist), is waiting for you. Founded in Pisa and active from 1979 to 1987, the four were one of the first Italian Hardcore combos and part of the Tuscan Grand Duchy scene. 400 Fascists (the original is hard to find these days) was their first EP and came out 1981 via Cessofonya Records with four fantastic killers, inspired by a military parade of 400 paratroopers held in Pisa in those years. The record is now one of the very first productions of Italian hardcore punk, a genre that in those years was developing in the rest of the world. In 1983 they released a self-produced split cassette Sfregio Permanente/Permanent Scare which saw them in collaboration with I Refuse It! (later re-issued on vinyl by Children Of The Revolution Records in 1985) and in the same year a second tape called (We Are The) Juvenile DelinquencyThey participated in the Last White Christmas festival which took place in Pisa on 4. December 1983, organized by the Grand Duchy Hardcore (GDHC) in the deconsecrated church of San Zeno. In 1984 they were then invited by the American R Radical Records of Dave Dictor of MDC, to be part on the International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit Compilation which was released in collaboration with the San Francisco fanzine MaximumRockNRoll. 1985 came their Furious Party, the second EP out and during a tour in the States, they recorded their Into The Void album in Indianapolis, both released on Belfagor Records. In 1987 the group disbanded after the release of this live album which was recorded in SO36, Berlin on 16th May 1987, released on Destiny Records and the last line-up was Syd Migx (vocals), Antonio (guitars), Sandro (bass), Alex (drums)That was a lot of words, and I recommend you listen to the must-have compilation The Furious Era 1979-1987, released 2017 on Area Pirata, which features all the Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers material.

THE REST - s/t LP 1986

Berlin had and has a very active underground scene and this rare piece is an excellent example of this. The Rest were Frieder (vocals), Ringo (bass), Dietmar (guitars) and Klaus (drums) and they released their only album via Destiny Records and contains seventeen fast killers, among them a cover of the Avengers 'We Are The One', 'Your Eyes' and 'Every Sperm' from Monty Python. They also guested on two great compilations of Destiny: Mutti's Muntere Melodei ('84) and What Doesn't Hurt Us Makes Us Stronger ('85). Frieder (known as frontman of Porno Patrol) sings in German and English and that expresses their aggressive lyrics more clearly I think, hallo VKJI guess in the same year the band broke up, Klaus later drummed at Die SeucheLet's punk my dear followers!

INFERNO - The Son Of God EP 1985

This first 7Inch by Inferno was first released only in the USA because the four were very popular (read this review: "fast, ferocious, and fun in the Inferno tradition. These German maniacs tear it up and spit it out in a furious thrash slaughter. Crazed guitar bitings with forceful vocals make this another unique platter." (Pushead, MRR #28 • September 1985) there with their aggressive Hardcore/Punk and the crowd needed food. This is the second pressing on Campary Records (1989) with a different cover and two songs from it appeared on the refreshing Compilation What Doesn't Hurt Us Makes Us Stronger from the Berlin based label Destiny Records and as far as I know the third track can be only found on this sucker but I could be wrongThe lyrics are all fantastic, clear and unambiguous, and anyone with sense and clarity in their hearts can only agree with this, to that their excellent sound makes clear why the band were so loved overseas, and that's saying something. Inferno is always a good choice to push your troubles far far away. Splendid!

T.B.C. - Atompilz EP 1997

500 copies on Krachschwindel Records and T.B.C. was a short four piece from Berlin and consisted of Der Dicke Klaus (vocals), Ratte (guitars), Dietmar (bass), Igel (drums) and were founded in the early Eighties and made their only tape 60/30 in 1982 and two songs from it made it onto the grandiose Mutti's Muntere Melodei Compilation by Destiny Records. Fifteen years later, the label discovered the recordings and packed seven typical snotty D-Punk numbers onto this small, desirable 7Inch. The recording quality is okay throughout and they were taken from the original tape and not remixed, music like this wants to be left raw and unpolished. And that is given here, short, dirty and demanding songs that not only make Hardcore manaics happy! T.B.C. later became Porno Patrol which released their only great Jump Back EP in 1984 and some Compi entrances. - Enough stuff for today, you know it's Saturday, I leave the stage to watch what?

- Great Thx to Fredrik -

V/A - What Doesn't Hurt Us Makes Us Stronger 1985

Friedrich Nietzsche adage "That which does not kill us makes us stronger!", a wise sentence I believe. So reason enough for the Berlin label Destiny Records to bring out an excellent compilation with this quote. Of course here many Berlin bands are represented together with the Ami fraction which ensure at that time for furore and the divine hardcore punks from Pisa. Partially goodies on it which can only be found here but most of them are on the bands own records or released as 7inches which are also difficult to obtain in these gray days. The first pressing comes with title in golden letters, my copy. The repress was with white. Offensive music for offensive people, not grow weary.

VELLOCET - Welcome To Dimension Four 1988

Second and final album by Berlin combo Vellocet, the band was formed in April 1985 by drummer Jürgen "Sgt. Heiland" and after some more members came to the band, the label Vinyl Boogie became aware of the band, whereupon the single Here Is The Warning appeared on the Pogar label. This was followed by various appearances in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. In addition to Heiland, the group consisted of guitarist Michael "Michi" Weindl, bassist Thomas "Heschel" Rickert and singer Jens "Yenn". In 1986, the band recorded their debut album Captive Of Reality, which appeared in 1987 on Snake Records. In August 1988, the second album Welcome To Dimension Four was recorded in the Berlin Vielklang Studios and was released later that year on Destiny Records, with Christian "Archi C Alert" Pfister as second guitarist. The band broke up afterwards. Soundwise finest TrashPunk is offered and you can guess in which known combos some members previously played.

SICK PLEASURE - Aids 1983

Sick Pleasure was a short-lived combo from Berlin and consisted of Dave (vocals), Subi (guitars), Rolf (bass), Alwin (drums) and Aids is their only album, released via Pleasure Principle. In the same year Dave founded Destiny Records and sang after Sick Pleasure in other well-known Berlin bands: Porno Patrol, The Rest and No Allegiance. The band toured numerous but couldn't hardly establish and so their album is only known to a few. We listen to thirteen pieces which hiss like a decent Erdhuka on a relaxed warm October afternoon. I would be grateful for good scans because this is not my rip but the quality is okay. More posts soon, enjoy!

ZERSTÖRTE JUGEND - s/t LP 1984

Ok, we move to Berlin and meet Zerstörte Jugend, a German hardcore punk band which was founded in 1983 while Vorkriegsjugend are still active but it boiled within VKJ and so Heiland (vox), Sepp (guitars), Bomber (bass) and Rubbel (drums) decided to form another combo and via Shlitz Musikversorgung they released this superb album with ten energic storming HC/Punk candles, essentially like VKJ with the same hardness and aggressiveness. One year later the mini album 'Spastic Nightmare' followed on Destiny Records and three songs on the brilliant What Doesn't Hurt Us Makes Us Stronger compilation. Remarkable the cover, a harmless young man who cut off a young girl's arm, smack-fueled punk ;)

THE DADISTICS - Paranoia Perception 7'' 1979

The Dadistics from Chicago were an early new wave punk band. They played from 1978-1981 and released two records. They were a regular performer at O'Banions during their time together. Vocalist Audrey: "There was the first 45, that we put out all on our own and sold at gigs, with Modern Girl/Paranoia Perception. We, as a group sat in Freds basement and all had a part in putting the record jacket together.. you fold, you glue, you do the insert, you stuff into the protective cover kind of evenings. Once BOMP picked it up, they released those two songs as A sides and asked for two more songs for the B sides, which were: Later Baby and Cry For Yourself. We were also added to two different BOMP Compilations. 'Experiments In Destiny' and the other one was called 'Waves' (Anthology of new music volume 2. spring 1980)." Fast new wave rock/power pop and the punk influence is still there, but you can tell they’re going for the mass appeal. Other recordings never made it out to the public. After breaking up, vocalist Audrey Stanzler was a part of the original lineup of Ministry.

V/A - Killed By Death #13 1993

Happy New Year all together and I don't understand why the link to The Face doesn't work, but try again folks, link's fixed, thx Reinhard. And now enjoy another KBD compilation, # 13 and all tracks are recorded between 1978 and 1983. From liner notes on the back: "This volume of Killed By Death differs from the others in a few ways. It concentrates on just one region, California. And instead of containing previously released rare records, this one is culled from demo tapes, mostly from bands that never had any releases." I hope, that this link works and no more damn problems arise, otherwise I will lose the fun of this hobby.
