I don't know what's going on, I'm always tired and somehow listless, probably because of the dreary season or something. I need a little bit of schunkel music now and I'll leave that to the leaders of the "Clockwork Punk" movement (a musical community whose look & lyrical themes were inspired by the stylish nihilism of the film A Clockwork Orange) of the early 80's: Major Accident from Darlington which originally formed 1977 by Paul (vocals), Dave (guitars), Con (bass), Stu (drums). It wasn't until the early '80s that they made its first demo recordings. Then they earned a record deal with the pioneering indie label Step Forward Records which releasing their debut album, Massacred Melodies, in 1982. After three albums unimpressive financial problems led to the band breaking up at the end of 1985. Major Accident came back 1996, once again using the full name rather than just "Accident". The result was the forth album The Ultimate High, released on We Bite Records. The band's final release came via DSS Records in 2001 and was a split sucker with Welsh combo Foreign Legion entitled Cry Of The Legion. They currently play just two or three concerts each year, so the rumors say. This file features all of their A and B sides along with classic album cuts. Duty Stuff!

THE ADICTS - Rockers Into Orbit 1990
Before I watch the Euro-League match now a superb recording by the Adicts from 31. October 1986 in the Alabama Hall, Munich which was released via Fallout Records. I guarantee you the dynamic and energy that you can hear here is really so, I saw them some years ago in the Batsche and was flashed. A bit info: the Adicts originated as Afterbirth & the Pinz in late 1975. They soon changed their name to the Adicts and became known for their distinctive Clockwork Orange "Droog" image. "Droog" is a word derived from fictional Nadsat language, meaning "Friend" (a combination of Russian and English) which along with their urgent, uptempo music and light-hearted lyrics, helped set them apart from other punk bands. Their music has catchy melodies and lyrics, and often features extra instruments and sound clips, such as carousel music in How Sad, violin played by Derick Cook in Joker In The Pack, and gongs and keyboard percussion by Anthony Boyd in Chinese Takeaway. The musicians wear all-white clothing with black boots and black bowler hats. The singer, Keith "Monkey" Warren, wears joker makeup, wildly patterned suits (such as checkerboard or polka dot), flared trousers, colorful dress shirts, bowler hat and gloves. The band's visual look is complemented by their stage shows, involving items such as streamers, confetti, playing cards, beach balls, joker hats, toy instruments, bubbles and glitter. Still active and a popular live act... indeed!

V/A - A Clockwork Orange 1972
I come now to some special music from a movie which I would call my absolute favorite movie. I don't know how many times I've seen it but if I see it again I'm always delighted by the story, the actors, the film sets and the brilliant work of Stanley Kubrick, he wrote, produced and directed A Clockwork Orange in 1971. A darkly satirical science fiction adaptation of Anthony Burgess's 1962 novel of the same name. A brilliant book. The soundtrack features comprising mostly classical music selections and Moog synthesizer compositions by Walter Carlos. Remains only to say: A masterpiece in all things.

RAMZES & THE HOOLIGANS - Poland/Alkoholand EP 1994
One more rare item from the glorious 333 x Up & Down series and does a good job. Ramzes & The Hooligans are Polish Oi!/Punk group from Rydultau. Despite a few concerts, they became famous with simple, often controversial, yet humorous texts concerning matters that they hurting every day Polish society. The band does not consider itself bound to any ideology, and their texts can be found even mockery of joy after the death of Adolf Hitler, and assigning him to the evil world. The band almost broke up after the departure of vocalist Ramzes to Germany after 1989 (the mocking words of the song Easter fall Together we'll go to the church of the Lord Jesus to kiss, we all really happy that he is an idiot crucified for us, which apparently had flee the country), however, and there he played a few gigs and released the album 'We Are Back', which is the German release of A Clockwork Orange. Dirty UK '77 fashioned bootboy-streetpunk!

T.N.T. - Manifiesto Guernika 1983
One of the pillars and most important records of early Andalusia punk, this LP from 1983 was the only official studio album by Granada's TNT. (A Spanish band that shouldn't be mistaken for an identically-named Swiss group). They mixed '77 punk, early 80s post-punk and late period Clash in a record that covered themes such as the Spanish Civil War, George Orwell's "1984", Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" and the poetic influence of the band's place of origin. In January 1982 they recorded the demo Una Naranja Mecánica, which included covers of Clash songs, “Johnny B. Goode” and original songs. At the end of 1982 they signed a contract with DRO to record their awesome single "Cucarachas". That 7” was followed by one of the most impressive singles of early ’80s Spanish punk: TNT paired “Guernika,” based on Pablo Picasso’s painting, with “Gilmore ’77”, an intense track about the case of U.S. convict Gary Gilmore. When in early 1983 the record label told them they needed to release an album, the band had already conceived a specific project, a kind of collage where they could express the ideas they had in mind. And the result is this pearl here.
A review: "This debut album from Spain's TNT is a mixed success. It contains a brace of melodic mid-tempo punkers with bouncy appeal, but there are also a couple of catchy pop ditties (like "Deberías Tener Cuidado"), silly commercial numbers ("Radio Crimen Charleston"), post-punk things ("La Noche..."), and even synth muzak ("El Jardin Extranjero"). "Habitácion 101", "Sin Futuro" and "Nadsat" are the most appealing of the previously unreleased cuts." - Jeff Bale (from Maximum Rocknroll #16, August 1984)
The band would carry on with some line-up changes until they finally split up in 1985. Since then, they have reunited on different occasions, the last one more recently, when they decided to re-record some of this tracks and the reissue with original insert came out in a limited edition in 2010 on Munster Records. I know, you enjoy this brilliant gem because your hearts at the right place.
