An absolute highlight was brought by the Hamburg label Weird System and this significant Compilation is full with incredibly awesome bands/songs of the early wild Punk years in Hamburg from the era 1977-1983. From beginning to end, one nugget chases another. This city was known for its rough energy, D.I.Y. spirit, versatility, and rightly celebrated for its important combos, providing an important snapshot of the aggressive, politically charged Punk sound and convey the feelings of that time, socially critical & rebellious. I was always delighted when the label released a new album because the quality was/is consistently high, and they still bring me much joy.
