It's Sunday, a day I like, everything can happen. But I must tell you, I'm confused. I'm always confused because I can't understand people. I don't wanna tell you much about my experiences I've made but I don't understand them at all. Well, let's leave this behind and now I have to post this record.
If I speak about Cranes I will post their album which I first came in touch with this extraordinary band. I can still remember it very well. I was there with a new girl and we came very close and casually ran this record and as I was able to think clearly again, I asked her about it. That's it, long long time ago. Every relationship has its good. So at this moment I start to listen to Cranes and bought more stuff. Here's a small sample of info from their MySpace site: "Originally based on the south coast of England in Portsmouth, Cranes first album 'Self non Self' had a peculiar intensity which seemed all the more unusual at the time. John Peel picked up on the album right away, with the group recording a session for him in the album's first week of release. Some intense media interest followed and shortly afterwards the group signed to Dedicated-BMG (which also became home to Spiritualized and Beth Orton) and went on to record five albums. Cranes' is a blend of celestial atmospheric rock and metaphysical minimalist electronics, made instantly recognisable by Alison Shaw’s childlike vocals and Jim Shaw’s uniquely inventive compositions. Much has been made of Alison Shaw's vocals, with descriptions ranging from "the helium tones of a small child", "baby-doll-voiced", and "a mewling, childish wisp of a voice". One reviewer described the band: "Imagine a small child singing lullabies at the bottom of the well with a background of grinding guitars" After the release of Population 4 in 1997 the band fell silent for a period of approximately four years and in 2000, the Shaws formed a new line-up and began writing music again and they're still active." - Cranes are a notable band and transport joy/love/yearning in your heart.
I know what you're mean. They're wrong and talk to you.
ReplyDeleteCatapulting you upward and fuck you for no reason.
The system does a good job!

Hmmmm, a little I share your opinion, I would say if you have a lousy past then it's difficult for people to deal with it, and if I should find someone who appreciates and uderstand then I would not broke this connection you know... but people are strange! They keep their own life first so what the hell!!!
Deletethis brilliant song says it all:
ReplyDeletePeople just ain't no good
I think that's welll understood
You can see it everywhere you look
People just ain't no good
We were married under cherry trees
Under blossom we made pour vows
All the blossoms come sailing down
Through the streets and through the playgrounds
The sun would stream on the sheets
Awoken by the morning bird
We'd buy the Sunday newspapers
And never read a single word
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
Seasons came, Seasons went
The winter stripped the blossoms bare
A different tree now lines the streets
Shaking its fists in the air
The winter slammed us like a fist
The windows rattling in the gales
To which she drew the curtains
Made out of her wedding veils
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good at all
To our love send a dozen white lilies
To our love send a coffin of wood
To our love let aal the pink-eyed pigeons coo
That people they just ain't no good
To our love send back all the letters
To our love a valentine of blood
To our love let all the jilted lovers cry
That people they just ain't no good
It ain't that in their hearts they're bad
They can comfort you, some even try
They nurse you when you're ill of health
They bury you when you go and die
It ain't that in their hearts they're bad
They'd stick by you if they could
But that's just bullshit
People just ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good
People they ain't no good at all

b.t.w. great album!
YEAH!!!! Indeed!!
DeleteYou must not really understand people, as long as they are honest and sincere. If they so I need to keep them with me, the rest you can throw away. And if you only have a handful of friends that's worth a lot!

Humanity is a beast
Funny thing is,today is Sunday, the day that I discovered this band, and this album... Feeling strange, the weight of the world is over me again. Thank you for the link!
