V/A - Även Vackra Fåglar Skiter (Live) 1992

Released via Birdnest Records gives this double record set an fantastic impression of the Swedish underground scene with bands that have caused a sensation with good Powerpunk rock since the mid-eighties, all this were recorded live during Totalgalan, the 18th and 19th of October 1991. This is the CD Version and we find we also infos inside but only in Swedish. But I'm sure these little bio or liner notes express what can be heard, namely a solid selection of bands/songs that achieved a bit of fame in their country and outside of it. Check out the blog and you will find studio material for many of the protagonists mentioned here. Cool piece!

KÖTTGROTTORNA - Jag Idealist 7'' 1985

Third 7inch on Sista Bussen by Köttgrottorna, a Swedish combo which was formed 1983 and they seem very popular in Sweden because they have a lot of records out. On this little 45er are two decent powerful goodies and they use the stereo effect fully, one guitar on the right, the other one left, sounds especially in the second number amazingly cool with the Ska undertone and the mourner to another, all very melodic and with tempo. Very nice and I think I've got even more. They're still active, try a listen.

KÖTTGROTTORNA - Blodsdans 1986

Debut album by this four piece on Sista Bussen and they were founded 1983 by Janne (vocals/guitar), Jojje (guitars), Mongo (bass), Happy (drums). Köttgrottorna is powerful rock with a good dose of punk and are mostly appreciated by fans of the Swedish punk scene. The songs have consistently charm and long playing time and a lot of solos, but always pushed the pedal forward and very melodious. Sometimes I would like to know what the guys are singing about and how that goes with the sound, unfortunately there's no lyric sheet within, but don't mind. Twelve catchy mid-tempo goodies, a pleasant voice and nothing more is needed to ring in the Feierabend. Solid Stuff!

V/A - Birkagården Gärdet 1986

I love stuff like this and next here is a ultra-rare live compilation which was released on Rosa Honung Rec. The songs were recorded in January & August 1985 and the rest in February 1986 at different places in Sweden. Besides the Instigators there are only Swedish bands present. A hot mix of punk & hardcore come along in a decent sound quality. If you search for some new bands then this record will inspire you. SKÅL!
