DOCENT DÖD - s/t LP 1980

After a hard day I need now cozy music and with the debut album of the Stockholm band Docent Död I park right. Docent Död are among the better-known punk bands in Sweden and recently a limited 7inch with two rare pieces was published on Slyngel Rekords. After three famous singles (listen here) they have captured their debut album on Sonet and filled with fourteen mid-tempo goodies. Crispy melodic guitars dominate the pop/punk sound, the drums brings its full intensity herein, decent bass-line and a singer who has appetite in the recordings. I think you can hear those positive vibes and that creates a large number of fans. Docent Död have made a great debut, are present on several compilations and can make music, rätt så!

DOCENT DÖD - Tusen Heta Kyssar Från Docent Död 1981

Long, extensive celebrations require long periods of regeneration, hence the next post to Nikolaus with the third album by Docent Död, originally formed as Docenterna in Sollentuna outside Stockholm 1977 by Joppe (vocals/guitar), Peé (guitar), Larry (bass), Kricke (drums). Together with Mats Olofsson, they formed Docent Död. On their penultimate album, with twelve songs, they once again create an interesting mixture of pop, rock and a bit of punk, all are pleasant to hear. Packed in a very nice child-friendly cover with high standards. V/A - Sveriges Största Singel III 1983

Sveriges Största Singel was a mini serie of three records by Mistlur Records, again sold to a single price and full with more Alternative/Pop/Punk label bands. I listen much to the Raketerna album and I thought somewhere I know the last song on their record and found it here. Volume I I found quite amazing, and this compilation is as strong. Nice artwork with much information inside (in Swedish), you can discover the early new swedish sound of the 80s. Enough words, I must hurry because I fly off.
