MAXIMS TRASH - Disco Girls 7'' 1979

One more from the Wanted List. This is the only record by this obscure combo (band also known as Maximum Mania or The Sunset Boys) which came out at Gimp Records. Two excellent distorted trash punk numbers. The a-side kicks with a brisk synth sound therefore while the b-side is a wonderfully chaotic cover of blue suede shoes. A bit info from discogs: SPIRAL SCRATCH magazine#13 (August 1991) said that this record allegedly features Captain Sensible on guitar and bass, Dave Berk on drums and Xerxes on vocals. Captain Sensible commented in the same issue that he doesn't know anything about it... - Well, I can't much say about that but what I know this sound is better than Heino and you should listen to. If the divshare link doesn't work try an alternative one in the comment section.

- Many Thx to François -

LÄRM - Nothing Is Hard In This World If You Dare To Scale The Heights EP 1987

Lärm (Noise) were a Dutch straight edge thrashcore band formed in 1981, first playing under the name of Total Chaoz and Holland's Lärm are a band that had something for everybody: sincere leftist politics, a strong straight edge philosophy, a lighthearted, humorous attitude, and most importantly devastating music played at never-before-heard speeds. They played "extreme noise" style: short, fast, and out of tune. The band practiced in a barn at Jos' house, and when they started playing the cattle would invariably start running. The cow image would stick with the band over the years as a sort of mascot. This EP appear in 1986 and came out in a self-released pressing of less than 800. High speed Dutch S.E. Hardcore from one of the most important and pioneering European bands of the 80's.

V/A - Young Raw Sounds UK 1996

Lightning Records carved their name into punk history with the release of some of the most collectable punk singles to be released in the late 70's. And all these recordings here are quite special and for my taste there are no dropouts. This LP is subtitled as Vol.1 but i'd never seen Vol.2...hmmm.... maybe you have this comp and send me a copie??? Zeus Records put this pearl out in 1996 and they make this fine. To every band/song is much info inside and the vinyl was pressed in bold red in a limited edition of 1500 copies. What more can be said? You might know the bands as well and if not then you should waste no time to discover something new. I think it's always nice when some people rummage in the punk archives to find rarities or cool stuff and then releasing records like these. And then you might notice what a great time that was.

EBBA GRÖN - We're Only In It For The Drugs! 1979

Ebba Grön was a Swedish punk band formed 1977 in Stockholm. One of the first songs performed by them was the controversial Skjut En Snut (Shoot A Cop), which was never officially recorded. In 1978, the time had come for this debut album (released at Mistlur Records), with songs about the tough, yet boring lives of young people in the working-class suburbs. The anarchist lyrics were seen as very controversial at the time, and the lyrics of one song 'Beväpna Er (Take Up Arms)' about taking up arms against the government, the bourgeoisie and the Swedish royal family, could not be printed on the cover. Ebba Grön also started to get a reputation of having troublesome gigs, with vandalism and fights. At one gig when the band was attacked by Neo-Nazis, Fjodor used his bass to fight them off. This album is only a true punk album and you'll get potentially addictive.

MOTOS - Muevete EP 1982

A little history about the beginning of the spanish punk scene from wikipedia: "In Spain, the punk rock scene emerged in 1978, when the country had just emerged from forty years of fascist dictatorship under General Franco and after his death in 1975, the country went through a “volatile political period”, in which the country had to try to relearn democratic values and install a constitution. When punk emerged, it did not appropriate socialism as its goal; instead, it embraced “nihilism”, and focused on keeping the memories of past abuses alive, and accusing all of Spanish society of collaborating with the fascist regime. The early punk scene included a range of marginalized and outcast people, unemployed, leftists, anarchists, queens, dykes, poseurs, scroungers, and petty criminals." A lot of good bands start to play awesome dirty punkrock and also the Motos, they were more a power-pop-punk band, from Pamplona formed in the early 80's. This is their first EP with 4 melodic, catchy Songs. That's all info i had, maybe you know more.

SERENE FALL - Oh My Prophet, Oh My Liar 1992

This record we both listen often to, the debut album from Serene Fall. A brilliant mix of melancholic and fast songs, accompanied by Maul's distinctive voice. Many concerts seen and unforgotten as a four-band combo. Their last album was released in 2010 and is still good but the harmonic guitars plus the drumming here are just mature and give the songs more charm. For this plate I came more by chance. I rummaged in this record store and out of the speakers came that sound, I immediately asked the record-man, and after short look at the cover I grabbed the disc immediately. At home, then the disc ran up and down and so I became an avid fan of this combo. It's tedious to get to one of their concerts because they play not much in a year and I'm not longer mobile and I hate to use the train. Well, a few times I've seen them and it was beautiful every time. Be laid to everybody's heart and perfect for sad moments, here you will get the necessary thrust to continue. Great album!!!

THE RUDE KIDS - 7'' Collection 1978 - 1982

Long before Millencollin and The Hives spread the Swedish punk rock over all the world's continents, there were a bunch of rascals who took the aptly named The Rude Kids, one of the most classic swedish punkbands from the late 70's. The Rude Kids were a punk rock band from Hagsätra/Stockholm. Their first single 'Raggare Is A Bunch Of Motherfuckers', that they recorded themselves, was released by Polydor in 1978. Rude Kids was the first Swedish punk band to release a record trough a major record label. The single sold between 5000 and 6000 copies (compared to 600-700 copies for an average Sham 69 single). Tony Parsons named it "Single Of The Year". Polydor also released the single 'Stranglers' and the LP Safe Society. Their records got good reviews in the press. Rude Kids played in London a few times. Once they opened up for Madness (only realising at the gig that it was Madness, not Doctors of Madness) and were attacked by Skinheads in the audience. After they fled the stage the audience smashed up all the gear without realising they smashed up Madness' gear. In 1980, when Rude Kids signed with the record company Sonet, they had a more poppy sound compared to their earlier music. In 2002 Turbonegro performed a cover on the Rude Kids song 'Raggare...' at Hultsfredsfestivalen. Singer Böna was killed tragically in a car accident in 1982. That was more or less the end of the band. Musically they are a typical '77 punk band, loud guitars & huge hooks, they blow everything up against the wall, brilliant lyrics and awesome songs, I cannot stop listen to. Their last two singles are "a little" quiet and with a nice casio tone but equally brilliant. "We are the Rude Kids and we're made this record that we think you should listen to!" (Böna) - Absolutly!!! In this file you get all 7inches, all covers and overall 13 songs in 37 minutes of pure impact.

RUDOLPH DIETRICH - Mutterfreuden 1981

"Don't Miss The Past" so the full album title. And Mutterfreuden is a power/punkrock album with beauty & goodness. And that can only be rock & roll. The two Swiss label Off Course Records and Another Swiss Label have been relevant to the image of Swiss and Punks impressed with good sound and professional cover design. They were also the first to be afforded the luxury of Maxi-Single-pressings. And the music was always melodic, which makes it even still listenable. Rudolph Dietrich (Liliput, Nasal Boys) writes undoubtedly good punk songs and demonstrates this impressive with this fuckin' Album. Truly a whole cool punk record.

U.K.SUBS - For Export Only 12'' 1980 + Party In Paris 7'' 1981

Always a good reason for Us to leave our home was a gig of the English punk legends U.K.SUBS.The last we enjoy was a concert in the Au and when I remember right this was in autumn 2011 and it was an amazing show as always (I never seen a lame one). So here are two rare records and the 12'' was included with both purple and black vinyl pressings of Crash Course and described as coming free with the initial release of the first 30.000 and was recorded live at the Lyceum on 15th July 1979. The Party In Paris 7inch was originally only available to fan club members and restricted to two copies each, this one sided release sold for 50p with only 500 being pressed. Of course I could also post a bootleg but there is enough in the web and I think with these two jewels I keep my memory of that time upright.
