V/A - Killed By Hardcore #5 2026

Whether or not you’ll be surprised by the following piece of plastic remains to be seen, I certainly was when I discovered it online. And, naturally, I didn’t hesitate for a second to buy it once I saw the label name Redrum Records (which, incidentally, is "Murder Records" spelled backwards): The fifth installment of the acclaimed Killed By Hardcore series. This volume dives deep into the global underground of early HardcorePunk, collecting thirty-five raw and obscure tracks from 1981-1988. Featuring rare cuts from legendary and cult bands across the world, this goodies captures the speed, aggression and DIY spirit that defined Hardcore's formative years and some of the most uncompromising records ever committed to vinyl. Not an album for hi-fi enthusiasts, but an absolute gem for collectors of international Eighties Hardcore. Wild and unpolished, as the tracks were sourced from rare original records and tapes. Interestingly, it is quite difficult to get hold of such slabs, yet if you look online, you will discover that many commercial shops offer them. Anyway, that’s a good thing and rumors say 300 copies were pressed. Enjoy!

V/A - Underground PunkRock From The Vaults 2024

Today, one more fantastic Compilation, and I've already mentioned the Shout It Out Loud label, which could be considered as a second Redrum and perhaps it's headed in that direction, I hope so. At least it once again presents rare gems from obscure Punk stuff from the Western world. Bands that will likely be unknown to most collectors, but are ultimately well worth a listen, and the record itself is impressive. Fourteen bands with their rare and hard-to-find songs, originally released on 7Inches, covering the period from 1979 to 1983. All songs have been specially remastered for this vinyl reissue to bring back the original, uncompromising feeling. Liner notes and cover art are printed on the back of the record. Let's hope the guys don't get tired and continue to make such rare treasures accessible; I'm thrilled, you are, and so every Punk in every conceivable place in our beautiful world.

V/A - Killed By California 2006

"Howdy & Cheerio, you collector nerds and vinyl hooligans!" So the intro words from the back cover and welcome to the last secret of the splendid KBD Redrum Records Compilation series and I thought long and hard about whether to post this, because rare and sought-after items should sometimes remain sought after, but since I'm in a damn funny good mood at the moment and a friend of being broaden my horizons and sharing good stuff with YOU, dear followers and visitors, this is called interest, I want to enrich your damn Christmas party with this fantastic work. Twenty-one raw and rare nuggets have come together to give us a lovely, almost forty-minute time, just as the bearded asshole couldn't do better. Solid presentation with the typical backliner notes, and I can't find a single weak point. One Hundred copies exist, twenty on red and eighty on black vinyl, mine is the black one. Away from that now, there's goose to eat later and I'll see you again tomorrow, California Über Alles. The perfect sound for a Monday comes today from Finland, more precisely by Helsinki's Propaganda label (specializes mainly in Finnish hardcore, punk and much more) that gave birth to this fantastic compilation over thirty-seven years ago and has not lost any of its hardness and fresh sound in my opinion. All bands are likely known to every maniac of fast-paced short songs, you can find some records in the blog, and for those who want to discover this heart attack noises for themselves this record is an excellent start, I promise. And if you don't have enough of this plenty harsh stuff I recommend you the essential Killed By Finnish Hardcore compilation by Redrum Records... b.t.w. the first 500 copies came partly with booklet which I don't have.

V/A - Killed By Death #12 1996

Das von den united fuckin' states fucking great music comes shows #12 of this rather unknown compilation series and Redrum Records, the label of the possessed, has banned twenty American classics on purple vinyl. The slab goes at the first tone offensive and keeps the level amazingly high to the last song. This volume is an ass kicker, a tsunami, an energy bundle of forty minutes wild, snotty, raw and catchy impacts. I can only recommend you buy this record and enjoy the sound in full volume, your neighbors will definitely invite you to the next barbecue party because they notice how cool you are. I think there are enough copys still available so get yours. Redrum Records, you know what this means? Genau, massive rare punk stuff from the early days and now we meet the Hardcore section and this compilation is a great example of nasty bands from every angle of this planet. I quote from back cover: "Welcome to the second installment of Killed By Hardcore. Just like that others series by those useless eaters from hell. This one's already going down hill... to the big money at the end of your wants list. Be warned: all anarchy & violence taken from original vinyls. So if it ain't digital enough you can always listen to disco shit. So bummer bitches, you'll find here explosive material of black small round flat 80s and invite your neighbors and enjoy a hearty BBQ with lots of beer." Twenty-three more on Volume 1 - I wish you all a groovy Sunday and enjoy the music.

"Strictly No English Or American Junk" on this release, 500 copies made, Redrum Records, Hell! Although Mister Fredrik has contributed greatly to this with his special contributions to wdthtc. Cheers again to You!!! So this volume does a nice job of featuring bands from places that haven't been covered before and overall the quality is pretty good with a lot of awesome killer tracks. And to be honest, I've not heard any weak KBD sampler and the detectives do once again a brilliant work. "Sid bless the man, who first had the idea to put out records like these."

V/A - Killed By Death #F.U.2 1998

One more goes today and this record is I think the first post in Blogland. No Idea how many copies exist but I think not much. Anyway, this compilation is full with rare punk goodies and again via Redrum Records brought into the world, the bootleg label based on Venus. Throughout, not bad but here and there a few filler I think. No matter, dem verehrten Hörer wird es nicht stören und ich trinke jetzt einen weiteren GinTonic und schau mal ob ich heute noch was zu stande bringe. All you out there a fuckin' nice X-Mas time, Cheers!

V/A - Killed By 7Inch #8 EP 1999

In 1996 the Killed By Death Series starts small in form of ten 7 Inches and of course, again with extremely rare punk rock from the glory old days when this sound kicks every resonable head, ähem. Published again on Redrum Records in limited editions and still not found anywhere. So here is #8 with five bands and six rare goodies. What can I say, consistently cool. I love all the KBD records and I can really hardly detect a failure, that is music that simply moves into the blood and stays inside till collapse. This is what I feel. Anyway, you have the chance to get volume 1-5 on one record which came out in 2000. Get this quick and more pieces follow!

1.At The Hot Club - MATT GRIM

2.He's A Psycho - THE VIBRATORS

3.Blah Blah Blah - REVO

V/A - Killed By Death #33 2000

Next round from the Redrum Records factory, 500 copies were pressed and the detectives did again a great job and put here 16 rare Killed By Death classics from punk bands around the world on this further essential compilation. The song selection is once again brilliant for my ears and there's no filler on it. Especially cool are the tracks from Soldiers Of Fortune, Victim, Charge and the finnish group Cadillac. The only drawback is this shitty cover. If you wonder about the colorful cover then just think is this a limited version?, may I give you an answer, hehe.... enjoy!

Weekend is near and time for another round of KBD punkrock classics and again with most international stuff so far. Released again via Redrum Records, 500 pressed. Fewer classic tracks here though most are still above average. The Funeral Dress track is actually from 1987, though the label of the record is misleading. More goodies here from The Kids, Dirt Shit and all the other bands who have the heart at the right place - There are certainly other rips out there in Blogworld but they are incomplete or heartless. Here is the complete version with all 18 tunes for all the people who are not satisfied with the half. Check out this blog for more KBD compilations.
