SØT HÆVN - Asfaltparasitta EP 1981

From the far north of Europe comes the next band, exactly from Tromsø/Norway. Per Eirik Johansen was in August lead singer of Søt Hævn, and war conditions during a few concerts gave the desire to create a band, the line-up was Per Eirik Johansen (vocals), Erik Smith-Meyer (guitars), Knut Nilsen (drums) & Alf Sigurd Krogseth (bass). In October, they went with Norgez Bank in the studio to create the first northern Norwegian punk single. The rivalry between these two bands had been going on for a while, and was reinforced through the punkfanziner that appeared around the turn of the year 80-81. Søt Hævn has however difficult to find a producer that would multiply their debut. The band had to wait until closer to February before they could distribute their kicks to the then Crown Princess Sonja, and took it as a compliment that the song was never broadcast on radio. Later in 1981 they established the Rock Club on the map of Norway, and organized concerts and they were most successful. In the end of 1981 their first and only classic four track EP 'Asfaltparasitta' was released on Søt Recordz and one song on the essential Anarki & Kaos compilation. Enough words again - care for this classic stuff!
