The second 7Inch from my favorite Portuguese band UHF is a real gem that stands out for its catchy melody and rhythmic structure. UHF, a band that is well-known in the Portuguese scene today, placed a special focus on melodic mid-tempo sound, which is excellently implemented in the title track, a real earworm and still my favorite song. Dynamic with passionate energy and intensity, both songs spray positive vibes into your broken brain. This record is an absolute highlight for anyone looking for a thrilling experience. From the very first second, it captivates listeners and invites them to dance. The powerful beats and dynamic rhythm are a powerful combination that clearly demonstrate UHF's creative talent. They know how to combine different musical styles into a harmonious work that invites you to sing along and dance. The lyrics are inspiring and perfectly capture the feeling of freedom and adventure, making the single an ideal companion for any party or a relaxed evening. The production is particularly noteworthy, as it is clear and powerful and brings out every nuance of the music. The instrumentation is varied and ensures that the tracks never get boring. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul went into the creation of this single. Overall an absolute must for every. It not only promises an entertaining listening experience, but also an invitation to leave the worries of everyday life behind, a great slab that should be on every playlist!

DESCENDENTS & CIRCLE JERKS - Split EP 2024
All re-upp requests are done and now it's time for something new: The 2024 split EP between legendary bands Descendents & Circle Jerks is an exciting musical event that will make the hearts of yours beating faster. Both bands not only have their roots in 1980s Californian Punk, but also have had an unwavering influence on the West Coast underground scene in the decades that followed. This fucking 7Inch brings the two giants together and offers a fresh, energetic collection of tracks that will delight both old and new fans. The slab consists five songs and the Descendents open with their typical melodic sound that is immediately catchy. Their first track shows the characteristic mix of catchy melodies and powerful guitar riffs as we know it. Fast, aggressive that perfectly captures the band's dynamic.
The Circle Jerks counter with their rougher, more boisterous style. Keith Morris's distinctive voice and driving instrumentation ensure that the song immediately invites you to sing along. This killer is a must-have for any Punkrocker and I was really surprised about this goodie, I only came across it by chance, which combines two of the genre's most influential combos and offers a perfect blend of energy and social relevance. The EP not only shows the musical evolution of both bands, but also their ability to hold their own in the ever-changing music landscape. With catchy melodies and haunting lyrics, this release is a breath of fresh air and proof that both are still alive. An absolute highlight for any record Collection! Came in different colors and strictly limited by Trust Records, Superb!!

LARD - Pure Chewing Satisfaction 1997
We're soon in Leverkusen, but first a short trip across the Atlantic where we'll get a taste of Lard's second and final album Pure Chewing Satisfaction and like its predecessor, its an outstanding record that remarkably captures the essence of powerful and innovative music. Even at first listen, it is clear that these are true masters of their craft who know how to implement their musical vision with precision and passion. The production of the album is excellent and every instrument shine in all its glory. The guitars are concise and haunting, the bass is powerful and deep, and the drums drive the songs forward with impressive energy and precision. Each track is perfectly mixed so that the soundscape remains clear and dynamic. A special highlight of this fucking slab is the versatility of the songs. Lard demonstrates an impressive range of musical styles and influences here. Whether aggressive, fast tracks or melodic, atmospheric pieces - each song has its own character and yet fits seamlessly into the overall picture of the album. The lyrics are profound and invite the listener to engage more deeply with the content. They offer a mixture of social commentary and personal reflections that make you think. Jello's expressive voice gives the songs additional depth and authenticity, which further enhances the emotional content of the music. Overall, Pure Chewing Satisfaction is a record that should not be missing from any music collection. It offers first-class dynamic sound and a thrilling listening experience that stays in the memory for a long time. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for high-quality and varied music.
Fucking Great Stuff!

V/A - Positive Energie #2 2024
Well, Teddy was constantly urging me to finally create a sequel to Positive Energie and I finally gave in and wasted my valuable time on this and set out on the long journey to create a worthy second part.... and today after six years, dear friends, the time has come: Another example by interesting bands, this time looking a little bit beyond Germany to the rest of the continent where I live but remaining in Europe, a healthy mix of new Post-Punk and Punk sounds that deserve a mention because on the one hand they put a lot of effort and money into their records and on the other hand they conjure up dynamic songs from their repertoire that are driving and rousing in my opinion and I am overall very satisfied with this selection. Without the support of some dear friends this compilation wouldn't have been possible and my sincere thanks are lovingly mentioned in the booklet. If you are more interested in the bands' sound, check out the relevant sites on the internet and look for more information and records, it is a lively ride through new discoveries and passionate energy. And Teddy was right again, get off your ass and do something smart, it's never wrong to create something beautiful. With that in mind, enjoy this CD and maybe I'll see your Fucker here.

SATANS RATS - You Make Me Sick 7'' 1978
Third & final 7Inch by this great short-lived combo named Satans Rats on DJM Records, founded in January 1977 in Evesham, Worcestershire by Paul (vocals), Steve (guitar), Roy (bass) and Olly (drums). They existed for about a year but in this time they released three great singles, some tunes were later used on renowned Compilations and all three classics were re-released exactly ten years ago via Overground Records. In 2022 an interesting album was born, What A Bunch Of Rodents, which compiles all their recordings, most of it unreleased to date. Satans Rats = catchy rockin' Punk and you will like them, I know it. Cheerio!

BÖRN - s/t EP 2015
Fantastic Post-Punk noises by Börn from Reykjavík, a combo with three girls and one dude, namely Alexandra (vocals), Anna (guitars), Júlíana (bass), Fannar (drums) and this is their second EP which came out via Paradísarborgarplötur (PBP) and I can tell you, an amazing sound that's captivating. Fat basslines, outstanding screaming vocals that aren't annoying, no no Alexandra has exactly the right voice, powerful and energetic. That's exactly the dose of anger and emotion I like, and the dynamic riffs plus the dark touch accompany the four songs like an earthquake with magnitude ten. An interview which you can read on vice gives a little insight. To date they have released two 7Inches and two albums and for me they are one of the most interesting bands these days.... enjoy!

MEMENTO MORI - Travel Trash EP 1989
Finest rough fast trash is now in the house with Memento Mori, a four-piece metal-influenced HardcorePunk from Neuhofen (near Ludwigshafen) and consisted of Delle (vocals), Stock (guitar), Alex (bass), Michel (drums) and the band released five albums until 1994 which attracted little attention in the worldwide Punk landscape. After the break of Memento Mori, Die Wehrkraftzersetzer (WKZ) were reactivated, originally founded 1984, in which some members already played. Featured on several Compilations, one of them the brilliant Kulturschock Attacke #2 slab. Four good simple pieces on this little 45 and don't be surprised about the bad insert, unfortunately it's just as bad as it looks, it couldn't be better.

RIOT .303 - Crowd Control EP 1982
As you can see, the sunny, beautiful days are once again a thing of the past and everyday life is irrevocably there but these short breaks are important; if I didn't have them, I would die. Well, if I had tons of money I certainly wouldn't be a blogger, hahaha.... Anyway, maybe a beautiful maid will knock on my door and..... to today's post: Riot .303 were a four piece from Calgary and consisted of Ron (vocals), Al (guitars), Doug (bass), Mark (drums) and this is their only record, which came over via Cardiac, with four smashin' powerful Killers, after their break some members later went on to form Beyond Possession. A short review: Hey, it’s Punkrock that sounds very much like the Canuck SUBHUMANS, even down to the Wimpy Roy-style singing. Most the Punk bands in the US either wimped out or went thrash, leaving the last bastion of the older sound in England and the wilds of Canada, whence this group emerged. Fellas, it’s ’83, but your record is darn nice in a nostalgic sort of way. (Tim Yohannan, MRR #3 • Nov/December 1982) In 2022, Supreme Echo, a label that researches like scientists, brings out rare, unreleased treasures, released a compilation with further recordings by the band which made between 1981-83, including their full studio output, all from this EP and Thrasher’s "Skate Rock Vol. 1", plus nine unreleased songs. With an eight-page booklet with photos, art, and a full-band interview, two stickers and issued mostly on blue or green vinyl, a fucking few on red, all in all 550 copies with seventeen anthems.

V/A - 14 Years Ago [Ex-WildDevilRules Compilation] 2010
This bloody Fucker, as the title suggests, is created when my old blog was still active and that time I posted it under a different name, now fourteen years later I've changed a few songs and think it's become a bit better (the back cover is still the old). There were too many D-bands on it Compilation what I had already forgotten is, there are a lot of cover versions of my favorite D-Punk band from Mönchengladbach on it. True followers of this Blog know which combo I'm talking about, but the name isn't mentioned. Those who guess it will get a washing machine for free, hehe..... Most of the songs were released in the Eighties and pressed on rare various Compis and 7Inches and all are fucking cool! It is a speciality of mine to immortalize the best of them on such useless crap that you then listen to in the car, train, plane or wherever to boost your self-confidence. Well, at least that's my reason for creating such musical delights, no profit, no self-indulgence, only for the passion of Punkrock, the attitude to life, and that's why I'm happy to share it with you. So dear ones, my plane leaves in four hours and I hope, I come back. Cheers!
