NASTY BOYS - Eagle EP 1981

Back from a gig in Frankfurt and puhhh.... it was so hot and I stood for an hour. So, now a combo from Alingsås with a very rough Swedish punkartefact! 200 copies were made and the band split up before it was released. Later two members started Really Fast Records and the Nasty Boys contribute two songs on the first Really Fast compilation. This is their one and only vinyl with four numbers, the title track is an awesome typical '77 punk style KBD smasher, the second & third are two monotone moderate tunes while the last comes as a half reggae piece. Overall a pretty nice record, superrare typical pioneer Swedish punk sound.

COSMIC PSYCHOS - Slave To The Grave 1989

A long day at the fucking computer is coming to an end and I crown it with one of my favorite bands: the Cosmic Psychos and this twelve track CD was recorded @ the Palace/Melbourne in June 1989, released via Rattlesnake Records and who doesn't know this album: Grab it!! One of the best live albums all the time: a milestone/masterpiece/a orgasm and a damn whole effusion. The sound & the song selection plus the cover artwork are absolutely brilliant. The clean recording of the songs makes them so fresh & intensive that I can't sit still. Lead Me Astray, Can't Come In, Decadence, Rip & Dig, Back In Town + Lost Cause (to name a few) are KILLER and belong to the best punk songs I ever heard and who can sit still on his damn chair is dead. This release is a revelation. I wonder why I post this classic not earlier? Hmm... anyway, do you wanna dance and need some more music then you must, I repeat MUST!, click this orange fucking stud and get more fast, loud, delicious Aussie landmines; not more, not less!!! And now: Go on stage you three male top models and you enjoy the gig!

NOT FOR SALE - A Few Dollars More EP 1984

Well, Madrid has won the CL again with lots of support by Karius who caught a raven-black day, too bad, but I think not quite undeserved. Musically we start today with Not For Sale, a three piece from Houston/Texas (Mike/bass & vocals, Howard/guitar & vocals and Scott/drums) and is sort of a garage pop outfit with punky sentiments. They have political lyrics and a certain aggressiveness, but the clean guitar sound and bouncy songs lessen their overall impact. There's three songs included & the EP by Rabid Cat Records is fucking great and is played very competently. In 1986 they released their only album called NFS and maybe one of you sends me that, I would like to hear. On compilations little represented, except on the Cottage Cheese From The Lips Of Death from 1983.

RATICIDE - Rock Corrosif 7'' 1981

Rare 7Inch by this five piece from Tours: Kid + Mino (both vocals), Rick (bass), Becker (guitars) and Jo (drums) and this is, I think, their debut record and was released by the band on its own and two years later was under the same title a 12 '' released with six more songs, why I don't know. Anyway, the A-side is a short swinging piss track while the flip is a punkified version of Edith Piaf' Mon Manège A Moi. I haven't much info about the band, in 1985 they recorded another album called Craquer and after that their traces disappear. That's it for today, now do a few compulsory tasks and then watch soccer with a buddy, wish us a great match and hope Ronaldo has headaches.

ADIEXODO - .38 1986

A small in-between post while I continue ripping CDs and did I mention that the SGE defeated the fucking FC Bayern? Hell Yeah, what a glorious weekend last Saturday, the referee was exhausting but made the right decisions and the fighting heart of the team was rewarded, a bit of luck, but that's part of it. Exat thirty years later, the trophy is back home. OK, we visit Athens and meet Adiexodo with their last slab on Enigma Records, released in 1986 released in 1986 and shortly the band broke up the same year. Sotiris (vocals) and Dimitris (guitars) met @ the "Dragon Fly", a historical hangout of the time in Athens, and search for members to start a band and they met Stathis (drums) and Mimis (bass) and Adiexode began rehearsing in February 1983, with borrowed instruments, improvised amplifiers, hand-made guitar effects and a stolen stream they mix the zero-rated, angry Greek verse with their characteristic chaotic soundWith a raw and aggressive music style and nihilist lyrics, through some line-up changes they carried on until late 1986, playing numerous gigs all around Greece. Enjoy the fuzzy sound and I'm looking forward to the Champions League final and hope Liverpool wins.

JUDGE DREAD - The Very Worst Of JD 1991

Let me bring some Sun into your house with Alexander Minto Hughes, better known as Judge Dread, and if reggae then nobody can't past Mr. Explicit Lyrics and he was the first white recording artist to have a reggae hit in Jamaica, leading him to travel to this country to perform live, where many were surprised that he was white, the BBC has banned most of his songs than any other recording artist due to his frequent use of sexual innuendo and double entendres. I like to remember all the long trips with my Pearl in Spain and Greece; far away from everyday life without pressure very relaxed and with this fantastic music, you know, life is sometimes nice! A blessing that the CD is still running, heavily used. Sixteen classics on this compilation which came out via Music Club, all his famous 7Inches - Judge Dread died of a heart attack on March 13, 1998 in Canterbury/England. He had collapsed on stage @ the Penny Theatre, where he'd just wrapped up a performance, he was 52 years at the time..... Viva Suspenders!!!

SUBWAY - Jesus Loves Me 7'' 1978

Subway was a band from Groningen I think. Their first apperance was a song on the Keihard En Swingend! compilation in 1978. One year later they released this killer 7'' with two tracks on No Fun. After a majestic church intro starts Jesus Loves Me and the fuzzy guitars are awesome. These guys master their instruments and like the Nitwitz they play cool punk'n'roll. One year later they made a second slab in form of a mini-LP called One Way Subway on Universe Productions and this tops the 7Inch double. The band can be found on numerous compilations, the two best in my opinion Killed By Epitaph ('98) and Killed By Death #24 ('99). In February 1983, the group finally took leave at the My Generation festival.

NEUROTIC ARSEHOLES - Melancholia EP 1998

And the next mini CD was a small wonder and I was very surprised when I discovered posters from of the Neurotic Arseholes in spring 1998 and I was lucky to see them twice on this 'Bis Zum Bitteren Ende' tour, Frankfurt & Hamburg, and both were greatAnd on this occasion, the four went back into studio and recorded this EP with three amazingly good songs and brought them out on their own, quasi as last sign of lifeOf course, they don't come close to the early recordings but they have power and dynamic and not uninteresting for collectors, so prick up your ears!

LEATHERFACE - The Last 1994

Today I've been scouring my CDs and discovering some treasures and I have to admit, I don't hear enough of them. That's because I only listen via computer and that's really fuck and I guess you know what I'm talking about but I change that and the next postis belong to the silverlings and a constant guest in my house is Sunderland's four piece #1: Leatherface and after the album "Minx" the band broke up and the 5th chapter 'The Last' closed the file temporarily and eight typical emotional delis were pressed onto vinyl and published by Domino, a worthy farewell to this brilliant band around Frankie Stubbs and Dickie Hammond (R.I.P.). Five years later the great comeback with the split album together with Hot Water Music. Three more records followed, many gigs and 2012 the band was finally buried. I can only say thx for all the peerless awesome songs that brought me many beautiful moments, unforgettable & unique!!!
