UGLY AMERICANS - Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed? 1985

An album which I see everytime for cheap offers is this second one by North Carolina's Ugly Americans and I don't know why. A lot of bands made some of the most classic records in the early 80's come from this area. One such artist Simon Bob Sinister fronted Death Records 4th release, the almighty Ugly Americans "Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed" and this is a fair documentation of what the band could deliver. This band had connections to Corrosion of Conformity by way of lead singer Simon Bob Sinister. Here we have eight + one classic punkrock pearls which are more melodic as the debut "The Dream Turns Sour". These guys are pretty versatile and they put some power in their songs. Nothin' bad here! A review: "A vast improvement over their previous vinyl. The band has discovered a new crossover between musical styles and seem to be taking it in the right direction, with not as much of a metal influence as I expected. There's more of a chaotic, awkward, complicated power pounding sound. The lyrics are creative and slightly twisted, but only add to the record's sound. Hard to classify, but I like it!" - Martin Sprouse (from Maximum Rocknroll #30, Nov. 1985) This is a small piece of funky chirps and undoubtedly a cheerful album.
